No, but Drew tries to make it sound like saying "alakazam" will help you win.  That's asinine.

Do you have a problem with a host having a little fun?

In a situation where it is annoying and something not even funny to begin with, yes.

Roger Dobkowitz's Seven Commandments of The Price Is Right:
1. Tape and edit the show as if it were live.
2. Never tell the contestant what to do.
3. Size matters. (The bigger the prize, the better the prize and the bigger the reaction.)
4. All prizes are good.
5. Never do anything on the show that would embarrass a parent with a kid watching.
6. Never put on a prize that would make the show look cheap.
7. It’s the game, stupid! (It’s about the game.)

Annoying to you. I have to think that a majority of the fans enjoy it.

I doubt it, considering many of the fans of The Price Is Right stopped watching the show when Drew began hosting.

Actually, as far as I can tell, Joe Plinko likes "alakazam!"  They may not like everything, but they seem to like that, anyway.

I should add, when we first saw the "alakazam" bit back on the show that aired on October 16, 2007, a number of us liked it.  Although, some of us thought it did get redundant when it came to be used on Squeeze Play, Stack the Deck, Flip Flop, and it was bland compared to Bob's box-opening reveal in Half Off.

Which is exactly why it is good that Drew has limited using it to Double Prices (and possibly still Half Off?).

People are "except"ing it. That doesn't mean they have to accept things they feel are subpar and could be improved upon, however. That's what we're here for, to discuss our likes and dislikes and support our favorite game show! (Or at least that's why I'm here; I won't speak for all of you  :P)

I just discovered this discussion forum, hah.  I was one of the contestants on this episode of the show (I'm Eric).  That was a ton of fun!  Still waiting for some of my prizes, though.  All I've gotten so far are the scooters...

Everyone seems to be bashing Drew, but he's a fun guy to talk to off the camera.  During the break after I won my game on stage, we went over to the gumball machine to test it out  (we needed a quarter, I didn't have one on hand and neither did Drew, so the producer came by and gave me a quarter to buy a gumball.  After I got the gumball out, Drew warned me that he had no idea how long those were in there and recommended I don't eat it, haha).
When the woman who lost the $4000 in her game, she got pretty upset and Drew tried to cheer her up during the next break, "it's not all about the money, it doesn't make you who you are!"  Funny coming from someone who probably has alot of it.

Great experience, though.

If you're talking about Joe's recap, then you didn't get hit by the "Stupid Bid" insult.

Welcome to our looney bin, Eric. :-D
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".
