Money Game: Once again, El Cheapo claims another victim. How sad!

Cliff Hangers: Well-played game here.

Clearance Sale: That one sucked big time!

Now...or Then: Nice to see it again, and a beautiful win to end it!

One Away: Damn, I wouldn't have gotten that one either.

Side by Side: Another great win to end the show. As much as I like Double Prices, that game needs some rest, and I hope they give this and other quickies some airtime.

Showcases: For the second day in a row, someone makes a stupid bid of $8,000 and loses because of it. I just hope tomorrow's show doesn't end in a trifecta, if you know what I mean. Come on, showcases worth less than $10,000 became less common in what, 1997???

I have to admit that I'm getting annoyed seeing car games and cash games being played constantly in the first slot. It leaves little room for unpredictability.

Exactly,

Unless you are sure of the other contestant overbidding and you bid one dollar on your Showcase, you should not do a conventional Showcase bid of anything LESS than $10,000.  It just makes players look like they are stuck in the late 80's-90's.  You also won't see many IUFB's at less than $500 or greater than $3000.  (That Rolex watch valued at over $4000 was a historic exception for a daytime version.)  IUFB's between $3000-$4000 are more reserved for Special Edition shows.

We all know that horrible misfortune of the $11,999 Showcase Retail Price and some poor soul bid $12,000.   But again this is an exception rather than the rule.  In fact, even on a conservative bid, I would go at a MINIMUM of $14,000 in today's market for the Showcases.  I think there is a concern of over-bidding, but we are seeing more than a few contestants on Showcase rounds bidding far too low.  My general range of Showcase bids, would be between $14,000-$25,000 on the daytime shows.  Maybe an additional $10,000-$15,0000 if some real expensive car was offered.  However, only doing that if such a final prize was offered.

When I won my showcase I knew she was over, as soon as she bid I said and put up one finger to the crowd "one dollar drew" but just bid way under so I would be sure not to go over.

Welcome to our little insane asylum, CBS Page. :-)

Since you're a former contestant, you'll get a spinning gold star within the next couple of days.
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

Money: I too am getting bored to my knees seeing this played first as well. Please enough already!!! Caren had "El Cheapo" on her mind, but the mothalovin' audience ruined it for her.

Cliff: Very nice.

Clearance: Jeez!!!  :-o 8-O That's one big freaking expensive set of luggage!!!!  I bet the "Greco" had her way on this one.

NowThen: Very nice.

One Away: A Jeep Wrangler on steroids!!!  :-o 8-O Price left me agahast.

Side: No Double (Prices to be exact), YAYYYYY!!!!  :-D Good job.

Showcases: The first did have kind of a ridiculous setup, but I'll give them credit for not putting in a lot more ridiculousness. Can somebody please tell some players that less-than-$10K showcase have long been out the door?  :headbang:

A 3-star show.
