If they're going to waste all this time with shots of the audience going to commercials, since they apparently have all this time to use, why not consolidate it all into one outro and bring back the midshow bumper?

Or give that extra time wasted back to actual gameplay as i've said time and time again. That little bit of time would make a world of difference in the pricing game lineups in my opinion.

This was the first set of tapings with Gwendolyn back from her maternity leave.  Throughout the second showcase, she looked like she was asking, "Somebody actually wrote this?"

I noticed that, too.  Right after Rich's pointless rambling leading up to the reveal of the washer/dryer, Gwennie looked as if she wanted to yell out "WTF?!"
Well, this week was supposed to be a return to normalcy, but that's clearly not allowed.  Since you feel there is no need for this week's FPG to continue, I feel there is no need to continue as an FPG host or a G-R.net member.  Since most people are so desperate to push me out of here, why delay it?  I would have preferred that everybody publicly admitted it rather than string me along for the last two days, but it is what it is.  I am hereby resigning as FPG host and moderator, effective immediately.  whammy007 is the new permanent host.  No R-rated rant or airing of grievances from me.  Just a polite "goodbye for good".

You think it would matter that much?  Each of the audience shots probably takes no more then 3 seconds.  Assuming there is one after every PG, that's a net amount of only 18 seconds.

If it was around 30 seconds, I could see your point.  But it couldn't really help to create longer lineups with such a small amount of time.

That's true too, Flerbert, but even if it is only 18 seconds, that is 18 seconds more than they didn't previously have. 18 seconds is still precious time that should not be wasted. Give it to the games or the mid-show bumper--either way is fine with me, but that time as of now is wasted on those audience shots when it should be used wisely.

Golden Road:  Too bad! :-(  The price of the drum set, IMHO, had forced loss written all over it.
Push Over:  Two numbers too far - rats! :-(
Pick A Pair:   Better to win on the second chance than never!
Lucky Seven:  Tough loss! :-(
Plinko:  What bad luck, but at least one chip went in something other than 0.
One Wrong Price:  Good job! :-)

Not too good overall, IMHO.

Easily the best part of today's show was that CBS, presumably by mistake, aired most of the credits.

I'm not sure if there is any correlation, but it is entirely possible that the new person working electronic graphics did not format them correctly.  Sharon Hadley O'Daniel, who had been doing them for many years, was recently dismissed from the show.

Wake me up when the first fur is offered. I betcha it won't be long.

There will be no fur coats or anything fur-related offered as prizes on The Price is Right ever again.

How do you know?

I would certainly hope you're right -- but Bob and Roger aren't in charge of things anymore.
