Okay, I've read enough...
If this is true, I feel terrible for a man who lost his job!!!!  Someone who has worked on the show for years.  Hey, kinda reminds me of...Roger!!

Some may not like his directing, because it's compared to Paul Altar.  If Bart was the director all these years and Paul wasn't there, what you see is what you know!  If Bart is unemployed this morning, I'm sure he's waking up not feeling the greatest...who knows!  I wish him well, and thank him for his years of dedication to a show we all have grown to love!

Roger & Bart are in two TOTALLY different situations. Roger was with the show since 1972, Bart hasn't been. However, I DO see your point here. I too feel bad for Bart being jobless this morning (if that is the case), but he has made billion really bad calls in directing TPiR.

If it's true or not, Bart needs to go.  Cutting Drew off camera while he's throwing to commercial and rarely showing the giant pricetag, yeah I say, bye bye, Bart.

This really isnt fair, i feel a lot of the cuts to commercial are because of time issues.

As much as I have had problems with Bart directing, I worry about how the show will look and feel with the new director.  First we lost Roger and lots (and lots) of the classic feeling of the show.  Many of us (including me) could bear that because we love the basic show so much.  However, now we are losing a person who kept much of what was left of the classic feel of the show.  We can only wait and see but I fear the show will really no longer be the show we once all knew and loved.

The only old-timer left is Fingers and I wonder how much longer she will be there!!!

If Frematle got rid of Roger and Bart, two of the most important people on the show, I doubt if anyone is safe.   It's very likely we are going to have to suffer through more changes in our show if Fremantle is indeed clearing house  (Fingers gone=different prizes, Stan gone=different contestants).  (Oh, I almost forgot...although not a "old-timer" they recently got rid of Jeff.)

I could care less if he got fired (if true), I was never crazy about his so-called directing skills.

Sure he improved in a few ways, but like many of you thought....Marc and Paul knew how to get the right shots.

Wow...

Forget all the times we've whined and whished Bart was gone.  Considering the current state of the show, I highly doubt this is going to go anywhere good.

I haven't actively watched the show for almost a year now... because the show is no longer fun for me to watch.

How anyone is still enjoying the show is beyond me.

Do we know if he got fired, or if he left the show? My guts tell me the former, but ...

Marc or John, have heard anything about if they are planning on a season 39.  Sorry if this is slightly off topic.

It's not much off topic, but it's very far down the line. They haven't finished taping S37, they haven't started thinking about S38 ... Unless you made a typo?

Now that it has been confirmed, do we have any clue who the NEW director is? I mean, taping does resume on Monday does it not?

Another big change in a year of big changes on TPIR. I guess I'll take a wait and see approach on a new director.

I am growing so tired of all the turmoil at TPIR.  What happened to the "family feel" the show used to have?

I have noticed that there tends to be a lot of "tight" shots where you don't see the whole game board or as much of the scene as you wish to see.  I'm not a director but I certainly would have come up with better shots of the show and various ones too.  I do like the overhead shots of audience and Pathfinder.

But what are "we" to do with Drew?  He's not getting any better and he annoys me more times than I care to share.

Those showcases have been worse than dumb, they have been insulting stupid.

I dislike the new large dollar sign on the Big Wheel - the multi dollar sign design was classy and classic.  The new silver design of that and arourd the podiums looks cheap and remind me of garage repair shops.

Drew needs to be fired and Mario Lopez or Todd Newton brought in. TPIR is a sad story nowadays.  Too bad.  But, it CAN BE FIXED.

Yet, another post that has virtually NOTHING with the actual topic.
