First average show this week. Sort of meh, but it had good points.

1/2 Off: This was just flat out nasty. Those SP's were impossible for myself. That Frog thermos didn't look like it was half off. The Salad Shooter and the Iron was a tossup. Nasty playing is all I can think about this playing. Best part though was getting another shot of Roger and the slate...ah, I know a car game will be 4th.

Any Number: Eh, Shawn was a showoff wasn't he? Not sure what to think about him. He was a little bit too over the top for myself. As for his playing-get out from in front of the board and don't be so sure every number will be in the price of the car. I guess he got what was coming to him-the piggy bank. Oink.

Switch?: Nice win here, I would have switched and lost.

PG#4-I know its a car/gp game, could it be? Will it be?

Let 'Em Roll: Nope, its not. **Sigh** I was really hoping to see Holey in the ultra rare 4th slot. $1500 is a nice consolation prize for not winning the car. I'm trying to think: was this the first time Roll was played fourth?

Bonkers: Turned out he played this better than expected. He did look out but at least he was fast.

BBB: When's the last time this game and Switch? appeared together? I know BBB and 1 Right Price were on the same show sometime last season but these two i'm not sure.

Showcases: Wow, great bid by Spencer. I never would have expected that trailer showcase to be so expensive.

Overall today was a decent show, but not the most exciting.

Maybe I got up on the wrong side of bed this morning, but it seemed like there was an extra dose of dumb on the show today.

Mariel: “Why me?” Because you are an airhead who would pay 98.00 for a teapot

Shawn “Is that good?” Oh yeah, a 6 in the piggy bank is really good. Idiot. It’s obvious you don’t watch the show. It’s not enough you call the host Bobby and try to hold Rachel’s hand. No wonder you’re only a volunteer. And one more thing. Keep your hands off the Wheel while it’s in motion.

Rochelle: Well la-di-da. You’ve been to Boston and The Bahamas. Don’t look so thrilled with your showcase either. Pinball? You just heard Bob tell Shawn not to touch the Wheel in motion, and you’re about to do the same thing.

Nolan: “Hey, help me out man” You were just told about about speed and rushing, and you’re asking the audience for help. “It’s all the Lord, It’s all the Lord”. Yeah, that’s it. Much better. Idiot. You would have wrecked both scooters in a day if you won them. You think Jesus is happy with you giving a shout out to your boys before Him? Maybe that’s why you didn’t win the Showdown. Renounce your faith now!

Spencer bids a dollar when he’s the third bidder. Susan, the last bidder, lets him win. Dumb, both of ‘em. You deserve an Electric Car and not something nicer.

I don’t really like to rag on the contestants,  but they deserved it today.

Either that, or I’m just in a bad mood.
 :-x

Bad mood or not, it's over the line.  Sorry buddy, Marc's in the site backbone right now starting your ban vacation.  One major rule about discussion, and you broke it.  I'm leaving your post up as an example to others as the type of stuff we just won't tolerate.

See you in 30.

I think you're right, Backbiter... I found myself saying "what were you thinkin?!?" quite a few times today.

Maybe it's just cuz we were spoiled with a few great shows, and now that were back to normal, its not as nice! :-?

And maybe it's just me.. but I sure am getting really anxious to see what these new pg's are that they're rollin out this year... I CANT WAIT ANYMORE!!!! :-o

Also, don't forget! We've seen enough of lineup slate shots on camera, and worse, I already knew what games will be played next in the second half.

1/2 Off-That playing was terrible.  I know that the thermos may not look $40, but after seeing that teapot yet again, I knew it was the SP that needed to be picked.  The other two sets were easy.  This is the second time this week that the slate for the second half of the show was revealed.

Any Number-Oh, how much of a showoff can Shawn get?  Anyway, I can't believe he thought the 6 in the piggy bank was good!

Switch?-I would have switched the prices and lost.

Let 'em Roll-At least Nassim has $1,500 as a souvenir...

Barker's Bargain Bar-I would also have gone with that barbecue, since I know it is expensive.

Showcases-I knew that the Elevator showcase would be around $17,000.  I was shocked at how the second showcase totaled over $41,000.  I guess that African Safari and the trailer must be really expensive.

Overall, a normal show today.

1/2 off:  I knew the teapot wasn't half off.  And I can't feel too sorry for her loss.

Any Number: Man Shawn was a showoff today.  This is one of those times when I can't feel too sorry for his piggy bank win.

Let Em Roll: I really felt sorry for her loss.  At least she won $1500.

One Bid 6: Ugh...

Barker Bargin Bar: I had a feeling the Barbecue was the bigger bargain.

Showcases: My! I would have went with $21,000 on the trailer/safari showcase.  And be off by $20,031.

Overall..Eh.  Not a great show today.

PG #1:  YAY!  Half-Off's S35 premiere!  (http://www.golden-road.net/grnoldx/modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_razz.gif)  Those first two small prizes were just plain evil.  And, for the second time this week, we get a shot of part of the production schedule behind Roger.  It appears as though we're gonna get our first outright car game of S35 in the fourth slot.

PG #3:  I think Dob wanted this game lost today.  No way did Boston look like it was gonna be more expensive than the Bahamas.  Just unfortunate for him that Rochelle has been to both places and knew better.  And this game is getting played today with Bar still to come?  I can tell that S35 is gonna be a very evil one for us FPG players...

PG #4:  Ugly yellow Aveo alert!  YAY!  It's Let 'Em Roll 4th!  (http://www.golden-road.net/grnoldx/modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_razz.gif)  And you know me--I would've taken the $3,000.

PG #5:  Nolan was destined to lose from the very beginning.  He actually thought those motorscooters were more than $4,000 each.  Still gotta give him half a point of credit for not wasting a large chunk of time on looking into the audience for help.

One-Bid #6:  Wow, the out-of-position $1 bid actually worked.

PG #6:  How did "Phaser" end up in this game?  "Phaser" is sooooo not a two-prize PG cue.

My showcase bids:
FRElevatorS--$15,695
FRTS--$39,449

Not to gripe, but gotta agree with everyone else. Not much to my liking today.

Seeing the game line-up for the second half took the fun out of today for me. Kind of hard to ignore though. Generally, I would like the PG line-up, but ya'll were right. It's the players today.

Don't keep up with this sort of thing, but has Bonkers been played this late before. I can't recall having seen it past 4th, but I don't know..

Quirky little math fact: The difference in Rochelle's showcase bid and the ARP was almost the $ of Spencer's showcase.

Here's to a better Friday! :-D

It's not unusual for Bonky to be played 6th--it was played 6th one time last season--but it has never been 5th before today.

For some reason, Roger does not like putting one-prize games in the 5th slot.  Only last season did Coming or Going see its first appearance in the 5th slot... and Double Prices has been 5th only 4 times in the last 11 years.

Bidding Round #1- #6, Nassim (http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/1142/6nassim92106do3.jpg)! Also, she doesn't get a number of course, but wow... that mysterious girl in the front row (http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/5306/mysteriousgirlinfrontrow92106hs8.jpg)! :-D

Any Number- Bummer. I really wanted him to win, because you know he would've gone on a rampage.

Bidding Round #5- #7, Chelsea (http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/2290/7chelsea92106ws9.jpg)! :-D

Bonkers- He went fast enough, but he made the crucial mistake of looking out to the audience. You just can't do that in this game.

Showcase- Goodness... I thought Rochelle was never going to bid. I guess they needed to kill some time, though, since Bob told her he'd give her a few moments to think her bid over.

BEST CONTESTANT OF THE DAY- Shawn, although all the contestants today were awesome. What a great bunch.

SHOW SUMMARY AND GRADE- How is it that the shows with losing records always seem to be the most fun... Grade: 3

Plus, there was this very close shot of Bob and the players in the showcase, as Bob explained the rules.  And I also thought it was very weird to hear the Phaser AKA Spa music twice.

Not only did Mariel lose at 1/2 Off, for lifting the box too soon she also got a 5 yard penalty for a false start  :-P . Pretty difficult playing though - there was no way I thought that thermos was even $20, let alone $40, and the second round  sure looked like a toss-up.

Someone please tell Roger to find a new place to stand?  I'm sorry, but I don't want to have the second half lineups spoiled 1/2 the time this season.  :-(

Oh, and Roger, I know we have to be in a bit of budget mode for awhile, but only $3.67 for that darn piggy bank?  At least let  Shawn have a few bucks for gas...

Bonkers really should have been won today, regardless of speed  (and Nolan certainly gave himself enough chances, even with a couple of peeks to the audience) - more than likely the price was going to end in "98" giving two free spots in the back (HH) and leaving only four possible combos to select.

Not a great show today, but still fun to watch.  I liked Shawn, even though he had obviously never seen his game before (How?).  I liked Nolan too, but started disliking him when he broke the cardinal rule of Bonkers, and especially when he started preaching in the showdown.

Rochelle's win was certainly impressive!  Who knew that a trip to Boston cost over $1,000 more than a trip to the Bahamas?

Let 'Em Roll, of all car games, fourth?  Yawn.

One more thing, it looks like we have had our first (Bleeping!) Random Trailer Showcase of Season 35, and I do expect plenty more of those to come!

I've always wondered, how long have they been offering arcade games and pinball machines as prizes on "The Price is Right"?

My first recollection of seeing an arcade game on "The Price is Right" was when Pac-Mania was popular back in 1988.

Yeah right!  That was cool.

I also personally enjoy seeing Roger on camera.  It happens that a slate gets spoiled every so often.  In fact, when I saw the slate, I had to double check to make sure I saw "LET EM ROLL, BONKERS, BARGAIN GAME" in that order!!!

CAR/GP 4th, 1P 5th, 2P 6th!

Neat lineup if you ask me.

Poor 1/2 off lady. Couldn't catch a break from bad playing.

Shawn was overexcited and fell victim to an uber-cheap Piggy Bank.

Rochelle won Switch? very well with two killer prices that even I would leave alone.

SCSD #1: HANDS OFF THE WHEEL WHILE SPINNING PLEASE!!

$1,500 is better than nothing for Let'em Roll (Not saying that an ugly yella Aveo isn't good enough.)

Nolan was overexcited and fell victim to....Well, nothing really. He just needs to know that you have to race against the bloody clock.

BBB played very well.

Rochelle felt the prizes in her showcase were pure junk. It felt like she could do without it even if she did win but luckily she didn't.

Seeing Roger was great but I wish I could say the same for today's show.

Not even a week into the new season and the Dob's thrown us some very intriguing and neat lineups. Today, after seeing Bonkers and BBB on the slate, I didn't see Let 'Em Roll on there, but I figured with the car/gp game fourth it most likely would be Roll, even though I secretly hoped for Holey-but I figured it was out since it chews up some time. Still that 2nd half lineup was neat-at other times it might have looked Bonkers/Roll/BBB but not today!!!Keep em' comin, Dob!!

Half off- Ouch!I had a feeling that Roger didn't want half off won.

Any Number- I had a felling that when shawn choose the 3 I had a feeling he had lose.

Switch-I also would have not switch them either.

Pass the Buck- Tough break there but at least Nassim Won $1500!

Average show today; not as good as the other ones this week.

Even though it's still Let 'em Roll, I admit that it was kind of neat seeing it played fourth.

Nolan was better than some Bonkers players, but looking to the audience for some of his chances caused him to lose.

I gotta tell ya...Shawn annoyed the heck outta me.  He acted obnoxious the entire time he was on-camera.  I can't say I was too disappointed to see him lose Any Number (or the Showcase Showdown, for that matter).

That aside, I actually enjoyed the rest of the show.  Most of the other contestants were alright (...well, I think Nolan had the potential to be annoying, too, but you don't really get to exercise that potential very much when you play Bonkers), and I think I'm starting to get used to the new Big Doors.

I'm sure Mariel is a very nice person, but she really didn't play 1/2 Off all that well.  I'm still not sure how she managed to get the thermos/teapot combo wrong.

Yay!  Let 'em Roll fourth!

I can't really decide whether Bonkers was played well or not.  Nolan definitely had the "madness" down, but his "method" left something to be desired, with only one guess where the first marker was on "lower."

There must have been something wrong with the music during Act 6 -- the same cues were played as in Act 5!  Phaser just does not work in Barker's Bargain Bar. (http://www.golden-road.net/grnoldx/modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_razz.gif)

Did anyone else get the impression that Rochelle didn't like the pinball table in the second showcase? (http://www.golden-road.net/grnoldx/modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_razz.gif)

...wow, was this show really as bad as everyone's making it out to be?  I just watched it less than an hour ago, and I enjoyed it well enough.

I didn't think about how odd todays show was until reading everyones comments, but there certainly were some interesting moments. Rich's "Here it Cooomes" had a lot of extra enthusiasm today which I liked. The contestants were interesting today, but I liked it. It's been an exciting premiere week and I like out of the ordinary events on the show. Definately have seen a lot of The Dob this week which is cool. Some of the best shots are of the producers table / slate area and over by the lightbox and announers stand.

I've never heard Bob have to tell someone not to touch the wheel before, and then twice in one Showdown.

Have they had the regular ticket plug at all this week?

I think the timing has been more smooth this season thus far, havn't seen a lot of slow here, rush rush there.

1/2 Off: I would not pay $40 for a frog thermos like that. The other two prizes were easy. 5 is one of my favorite numbers, but out of all those numbers, my first instinct was to pick 14, and boy I was so right on, no joke.

Any Number: A little hint: If the piggy bank has the cents completed, a guess would be to try 0. 0 dollars hardly would be in the bank.

Switch?: Rochelle been to those trips; I didn't. She must have known how the prices would be better than me.

Let 'em Roll: Hey, $1,500 is better than the $500 from the last roll.

Bonkers: I had a feeling Nolan would be a little swift, but he was just the opposite a little. I just have this strange feeling he was a little empty-headed or something.

Barker's Bargain Bar: I tried to avert my eyes from the game roster, but they (eyes) already decoded that this game would be last. I did not get the prizes until I had to review the prizes again to lock in a good guess.

Have they had the regular ticket plug at all this week?

The regular ticket plug is only done on Wednesdays now, and for some reason, it got edited out this week.

I think we've been spoiled by the first three shows of the season.  They had quality contestants, excellent lineups, and were really exciting and interesting to watch.  Today wasn't so great in those regards.

My big beef with today's show was that Bob and Rich seemed out of sync with one another, particularly during Half Off.  Bob was reaching for Rich's name and Rich was just reading copy as if he was on the radio instead of actually acknowledging Bob's presence.  OTOH, Bob and Roger have a lot of good banter going back and forth and I think we've seen Roger on camera every single show this season.  I'd like to see more of that sort of small talk between Bob and Rich.

And I have to disagree with Heels.  Today's contestants were flat-out annoying.  The contestants who played Bonkers and Any Number seemed to be going out of their way to be that way.  Rochelle was probably the best of the day - it wasn't her fault that Bob asked her whether she's been to Boston and the Bahamas.

Explains the sudden cutoff in yesterday's Showcase Showdown.

By the way, was anything switched around (no pun intended!) for today's lineup?  I still find seeing two 2Ps a bit strange.

1/2 Off: The SP part was pretty rough for me. After some thought, I figured that making the choice between the teapot and the frog themos in required a little extra thinking sprinkled with some common sense. The thermos doesn't look $40, but no way would that teapot cost $98.

And I was half expecting the loot to be in box #14. Roger seems to like hiding it in there. Hi, Roger! Ooops, Bonkers is 5th today.

When Rich began describing the salad shooter, the audio went out, and didn't return until halfway thru Any Number. Thank goodness for Closed Captioning.

Any Number: Oink, Oink!

Switch?: I would've switched, and lost. Distance trumped border crossing here.

Showcase Showdown #1: I get worried about somebody touching or grabbing the Big Wheel while it's spinning, especially when there's a hyper contestant standing right by it. And here it sorta happens, twice.

Let 'em Roll: I thought the Theragesic was going to  be higher than #3.99. That's what I get for not paying attention in the store.

Bonkers: Nolan was poerfect for the game with all the energy he had. I think he was just about to make it LHHH when time ran out and he put it back to HLHH. This is one game where you have to tune out the peanut gallery and just run, place, place, place, place, run, press, wash, rinse, repeat. Race Game is another. As it is, consulting the crowd cost Nolan the 2-3 extra seconds he would've needed to win, not to mention it annoyed me.

IUFB#6: Can this be considered outdumbing your fellow contestant? Sorta?

Showcases: I had $20,000 on Spencer's showcase, and $29,000 on Rochelle's "Pinball?" showcase. She grated on me with that, BTW. And the FRT is back, and got me lowballing badly, as usual.

Average show, with a few fun moments tossed in as always.

Let 'em Roll: Bob mentions that 'the aunt of the lady that won our very first car is in the audience.'

My goodness...Hello, Connie's Aunt!

Not much else to say, really. Sorry.

For whatever reason, Spencer looked a bit like Steve Carrell... :-?

It's no wonder that we had the second "Weak Spin" today...the spinner only gave it a one-armed effort.  :-(

The $3.67 in the Piggy was rounded up to an even $4 for the scoreboard...
