Title: TPIR75's The Nighttime Price is Right - Episode #1! END!!!
Post by: TPIR75 on March 05, 2008, 04:32:33 PM
After a long hiatus, I am BACK!  And ready to offer fabulous prizes to anyone who wants to play!

Here are the basics:

- You have a 24 hour limit for everything.  Break it ONCE, you get a warning.  Break it TWICE, you're OUT!

- This is the Nighttime syndicated version, meaning, we have three great games, and I need SIX contestants to sign up.

- A new format I am trying to perfect is the Showcase Showdown and the half-hour format.  There will be a Showcase Showdown after the third PG to determine the TWO contestants to go on to the showcases.

So, let the sign-ups begin!

For those who are familiar with the new site set-up -- Can I still come back and edit this post so the title is constantly updated?  It has been quite a while since I was frequently active here, so I don't know if this is like the old site in which I could do that.

This is a little embarrassing --

How do I update the subject line so everyone knows where in the game we are?

It's been a while, and I can't find any sort of 'edit' button on my original post.

*Door #2 opens**Phone Home Game cue**applause*

JO: A Hutch, an exerciser, a chair, and a roll-top desk!

First, from Hooker Furniture's 'Seven Seas' line, a 90" hutch cabinet made with hardwood solids, and finished with cherry veneers.

Next, an exercise machine.  From Nautilus, a low-impact, gym-quality elliptical machine.  Burn fat and calories, lose weight, and feel great.

Moving on, we have a chair.  A modern-styled sphere-shaped chair which seats two, and has a plush cushion.

Finally, a roll-top desk.  From Haugan Furniture, is made with a solid oak top, solid maple drawer sides, and can hold a seventeen-inch monitor, from Haugan Furniture.

Thanks John.  MasterKey, your game is Danger Price.  What I want you to do is avoid the prize that has the price of $2,399.  If you find the three prizes that don't have that price, then you'll win all four.  So go ahead, and tell me what you want.

It's time for the showcase showdown.

Our three players who came on stage to play a game will have a chance at the showcase.  What will happen is that the TWO of you who are closest to $1.00 without going over will be in the showcase.

Now, as cash payouts are concerned, there has been a slight change: if you get $1.00 in one or a combination of two spins, we will give you $5,000.  In your bonus spin, if you get .05 or .15, you will get another $15,000 for a $20,000 total.  If you get the dollar, however, we will give you $30,000, for a total of $35,000!

Now, cu2010, you informed me that you will be off for a while starting soon.  So if I caught you in time, you can go first.

Give me two numbers between 1 and 20.

Ok, I apparently did not catch cu20 before he left.  So, to keep the game moving, we will now spin in this order:

MasterKeyFan
FieldsFan336
cu2010

MasterKeyFan, go ahead and give me two numbers between 1 and 20.

Ok, go ahead and spin the wheel!

*MKF spins*

Good spin, but it looks like your only going to get...

[25]

And I do believe he is going to spin again.

*MKF spins again*

Another good spin.

This one's going on....

And on...

And this could be good...
[60]

MasterKeyFan, you have 85 cents!

Ok, you can go ahead and step over there.

FieldsFan, it's now your turn.  You have to get 85 or better.  Give me two numbers between 1 and 20 please.

Go give the wheel a spin!

*Fields spins*

And this one looks like a good one...

Uh....

Oh....

Looks like...
[80]
[/b]

That's not enough to beat 85, so go ahead and spin it again.

*Another spin*

And here it goes again.

Around, and around...

To come and stop on...
[60]
[/b]

OHH.  *MRRRRRRRRP*

I'm sorry.  80 and 60 is just too much money.  Enjoy your new automobile Fields!

cu2010, you are now automatically in the showcase, along with MasterKeyFan, but you do get one spin to try and get the dollar.

Go ahead and give me one number between 1 and 20.

Wait a second; since 2 people get into the showcase, shouldn't Fieldsy have the chance to stop on 80 cents and hope that cu can't beat it?

If I'm understanding the rules right, then yes, she probably should have been given the option to quit with 80¢.

Fieldsy should have been given the option to stay at 80 cents.

I'm sorry Fieldsy.  It was an error on my part not looking over the rules I had set up while posting in the game.

You can either keep the 80 cents, keep the 80 cents and spin again, or spin after cu2010.  Whatever you want to do is totally fine with me.

Again, I apologize for this.

And you have that 80¢!  Go on over and say hi to MasterKeyFan, while cu2010 goes on and spins.

cu, go on and give me two numbers between 1 and 20!

Standings:
1) MasterKeyFan - 85¢
2) FieldsFan336 - 80¢
3) cu2010 - ??¢

Ok, give it a good spin.

*cu spins*

A quick little spin, and it's coming to a stop on...

[10]

cu2010, you've got a dime right now, but that's not enough to beat Fieldsy or MFK.  I assume you're going to spin again, seeing as how the only way you could go over is if you get 95¢.

But, I do have to ask, do you want to spin again?

This does not look good my friend.

[10]

10 and 10 is 20.

Now looking at what our three contestants have:

Standings:
MasterKeyFan - 85 cents
FieldsFan336 - 80 cents
cu2010 - 20 cents

I'm sorry cu, but twenty cents is not enough to beat out MFK and Fieldsy's scores of 80 and over.

I hope you had fun though, and I hope you enjoy your prizes!  Bye-bye.

*applause*

*Dig We Must*

Now, we have our two showcase contenders, and when we come back, we will have those showcases!

It's showcase time with FieldsFan336 as our top winner, and MasterKeyFan as the runner-up.

Each of you will have a beautiful showcase filled with fabulous prizes on which you will bid on.  The one of you who comes closest to the actual retail price without going over will be the winner.  And, if you're the winner, and you are $500 or less away from the actual retail price of your showcase without going over, we will give you both showcases.

If you're both ready, here comes the first showcase:

*Showcase #2 Vamp*

And to keep you informed on the go, here's a new Blackberry!   The Blackberry is a lightweight PDA, with a full keyboard for messaging and typing out emails, and is bluetooth compatible.

Now, as a reward for all your hardwork, how does five thousand dollars in CASH sound?

*Audience cheers*

And you can spend that money on you trip to Tahiti!  You and a guest will fly from Los Angeles, California, to the island of Tahiti on board Air Tahiti Nui.  You'll spend six nights at the Regis Resort Bora Bora.  Enjoy the tropical atmosphere and warm hospitality from the natives.

But if you're bored with Tahiti, then why not take a trip to exotic...

Australia!

*More cheers and applause*

You and a guest will spend six nights at the Quay Grand Suites Sydney, in the heart of downtown Sydney, Australia.  You're only minutes away from all the major attractions in the city.

And to go along with your trips, is two sets of luggage.  Two sets of American Tourister luggage; sturdy construction, with tear resistant fabric, travel worry-free knowing your belongings are safe with American Tourister.
