Title: The Price is Right: 123123123 style
Post by: 123123123 on August 26, 2012, 08:08:40 PM
This is my first show and it will be an half-hour show, so I want it to go as smoothly as possible
So the rules are:

*Sign-ups will last for 48 hours (so it will start 8/28 around 7pm)

*Contestant called down will get a message from me, but that is it

*You will have 24 hours to submit your response.

*I'm a very lenient person, so if you have not been buzzed by me in Contestant's row and no one else has bid, feel free to enter your bid. This also applies to the pricing games

*The audience is allowed, even expected to help

*As a little challenge, anyone who can guess the three games in order automatically gets the green spot. Being the nice person I am, I will even tell you the last game is the car game

*Finally, enjoy yourself. It's supposed to be fun  :-D

Grand Game for 6 Cars! :P Then again, that is ridiculously hard to guess the three games in exact order, even if the last one is a car game, there are better odds of being struck by lightning! :P

This does appear to be a portable one from the picture, but without a description I can't be sure.  If my guess is right, then I go with $900.  If I'm wrong on that detail, I'll rebid upon a description of some type being added as I'd bid lower on a built-in.

All the bids are in and the actual price is...

vanziedorcede, come on down. You are going to play the first pricing game ever on this show.

As you can see (I hope), the game you are going to play is Magic #

As the premiere, I guess you are expecting a dream package behind these doors. We'll consider you dreams a reality because you can win these...

A treadmill and a alto saxaphone!!!

This strong Endurance T31 treadmill will help you lose those ten pounds that have been bugging you for the last year

And this Selmer Alto Saxaphone will have you looking like a pro, when everyone knows you can't play it

Ok, maybe it not a dream pack, but it is a starting point. I can tell you the sax is more expensive than the treadmill. Just put the magic # between the price of the treadmill and sax and you will win both prizes. Best of luck  :-)

A person can only be so forgiving, it seems cornelius has left. So he will get his first strike.

Onto other news, the price of that sofa was...

So GuyWithFace, come on down to play a fabulous pricing game. In this game you will be able to win this fabulous prize!!

A mini hot tub!!!

This Beachcomber hot tub comfortably seats 4 adults and has over 20 water jets. Even though it looks to be the size of a regular bathtub, this is a great prize worth $2,722

You can win that if you win Check-Out. You will give me your prices on these five grocery items. If your total is within $2, high or low, of the actual, you will win that hot tub. The products are...

He hasn't been on the forum at all for two full days.  This isn't like him at all, might be something wrong with his connection (and I swear, he still has his face).  Can you give him another 24 hours perhaps before we move on?  I'm all right with that.

Also, it IS Labour Day weekend.  You might need to be lenient this time around.

Good news: Since it is only his first strike, I will send him back to the red spot in Contestant's Row, where he will be able to get on stage during the final IUFB.  :-)

In his place, I will put the next best bidder who, with a bid of $1,640, is TheGRVOfLightning.

Your task is the same as was GuyWithFace's, give me your price on the five products and if you are close enough, I will give you that hot tub. Best of luck  :-D

This one is sickening; that's literally right around the price I had in mind.  Reviewing, I don't see any kind of bonus options package thrown in, just the standard stuff.  So, I'm going to have to say...

THAT'S just a hair over the price I would be willing to pay for a VW Passat and should be just a tiny bit cheaper than that and therefore TOO MUCH!

...did I go overkill there?

First of all, I apologize for being away for so long. I had a family emergency to deal with. That and what's left of Isaac knocked my town out of power for a few days. But I'm back, and I'll wait my turn, if I'm still in the game. If I'm not, it's cool. I'll just wait until next time.

...did I go overkill there?

Honestly, if you didn't break the forum's formatting, I don't think you went far enough

For that matter, I'd say the same thing about where you decided to stop.

Question.  Was that the Canadian price or the American price you looked up?  In Canadian dollars, I would have said $23-$24, but in America it's under $21,000.  I've seen ads. ;)

Haha, alright.  Different markets have different prices even within the U.S. too, and I was going on general info I knew of.

Cyclone

Every single ad on TV says "$299 a month" or something, it never says the actual MSRP....unless it's a local dealership, in which they say the "Sale" price, which is, again, not the MSRP....aw.

Anyways, yes, the google'd price (probably the one you saw) is $20,845 (very close to the tag you stopped at, like you said) but you forgot about Destination/Handling + the Appearance Package which he said was added on....

Why would he do it in Canadian prices? :o

True, many ads do that kind of thing.  But my question was from the Canadian price being something like $23K.  Cars tend to be a little cheaper on the southern side of the border (in American greenbacks).

Ok, your bid is locked up at $15,640. Now vanziedorcede, here's your showcase.

**********************************************************************

Now it is only common sense that if there is a water showcase, there is a land showcase as well, right?

So first we are going to give you this ATV.

This 2013 Ozark 250 ATV has top speeds of 60 mph and will have you moving faster than an ostrich.

And since it is a land showcase, we all know one of them is here. So lets just get on with it and try to give you a NEW CAR!!

This orange 2012 Sonic Hatchback LS Manual comes with a ECOTEC 4-cylinder engine.

So in this showcase, which shows staying on the ground is dominant, can be yours if the price is right.

*************************************************************************

Ok, what is your bid, vanziedocede?
