CSS -- Chatroom Showcase Showoff / CSS Results for 02/27/2024 (Game 99)

SC2 had a really helpful recent hint - the 7750 watch from last week's primetime show. I was the best out of three DSWs (not that one counted anyways... oof...) to keep a good streak going, and another win overall for 9821. I was honestly surprised SC1 got as high as it did, Phat's trusty ending was good for another DSW cash here.

Pass The Buck! One of my favorite games! Three picks! Kind of a roller coaster today, with the peak at the end. Nice, lucky auto win with the last choice.

Safe to say that today's show made yesterday look like crud, all things considered. And I certainly did not expect that it was Mama Mai's birthday OR let alone that Randy Travis was there in the audience! Good thing that Kent acknowledged it and was lucky enough to shake the man's hand!  xlx

Ole was a noted heel in the ring but in real life, he was very nice and cordial. He shopped at the Kroger I worked at in Atlanta and apologized profusely when he bumped his cart into me.

This wouldn't seem like an appropriate thing to bring to class action for one.

Class actions can be huge (like any case involving a large company) or small. They are commonly used in wage and labor theft cases like the one being alleged here. All you generally have to show is that a threshold number of people are affected by the same issue ("the class"), the claims are all similar, the same legal questions are involved among all members of the class, and that a class action would be a superior method of resolving the dispute, versus individual lawsuits.

(or how the law refers to them: commonality, typicality, numerosity, adequacy, and superiority).

Price has had a number of people working for it over the years that probably would've suffered the allegations made here.

Out In Left Field / Re: The Floor on FOX
« Last post by pannoni1 on February 26, 2024, 02:26:35 PM »
The Floor is an interesting, underrated format where understanding a broad scope of categories is essential to success and has the temptation for the final duel of each show for going for $20,000, which is the only time that I would actually continue playing provided that one of the challengers could give you the lead, provided that the category isn't too difficult. Of course, as your floor area grows, you're more viable to become a target, and given that you can't be picked again as long as your floor area isn't the smallest, makes it a viable move to stop after just one win. One thing I don't like in addition to some of the chatter in between the selection of the dueling contestants and the duel itself (are the subtitles always necessary?) is the way the music changes into its homestretch, where once the calmer looping portion moves to its finale, if you know someone is far behind, you can immediately fork their chances of a comeback. I'd say there's about a 40% chance this will be picked up for another season.
