Carey's Cuties would work, and it would cover the guys, too.

Hmm... I guess it would. Barker's Beauties and Carey's Cuties. Alliteration always makes things catchy.

Steve has connections to the backstage workings of TPIR that the rest of us will simply never have. If he says the models are still officially called "Barker's Beauties" then they are. He would know. I'm guessing they are still referred to as that in the scripts for each episode/taping.

Carey's Beauties doesn't sound like a good name either

I'm not defending or opposing either side.  I just found it amusing that I made that remark then nearly exactly 1 month later here you are.

@gameshowfan1987, I can tell you exactly why the Pentellits stopped posting here.  Its simply because we finished.  The intent of the original Pentellits was to give golden-roadies the OTHER side of the TPIR damage-control you were being spoonfed by that weasel Dobkowitz. Our criteria was that whatever we posted had to be verifiable either from court documents and/or first person interviews or accounts of people who would testify if called upon.  Once we did that, we were done here, except for the occasional related news.

Enjoy the show!  It is THE GREATEST GAME SHOW IN TELEVISION HISTORY, in our humble opinion!

Although the aforementioned book does not put Wheel into the top 3 game shows until 1979, I firmly believe that it was the #1 game show in 1975, and possibly even the #1 show in daytime television. Some information I put together about 5 years made me think this, but at the moment, I don't remember exactly what it was.
Has to be fake news.  Match Game was #1.

Out In Left Field / Re: 2017 Obituaries Thread

It's telling that Mel Blanc considered himself the male Foray rather than the other way around.  Her impact on animation cannot be understated:  Granny, Rocky, Witch Hazel, Lucifer the cat, Natasha Fatale, Magica, Jokey Smurf, Grammi Gummi, Ma Beagle, Cindy Lou Who, and Karen's teacher (not to mention briefly Karen herself during at least Frosty's initial airing before they decided to redub the role for whatever reason) make for a very strong top tier of characters.  So long, fair lady, and you will assuredly not be forgotten.

Not if it's supposed to be a factual reference.

It is a factual reference.  The models were referred to as "Barker's Beauties" on air until Bob retired.  Continuing to refer to them as such in a fan-managed FAQ that, again, has no official tie to the show is not the atrocious transgression some are making it out to be.
