Check Game – Tough luck. People are always under estimating the price of the prizes and go over the limit. They have to think lower. As soon as I saw the trip I said “$1500”, and what do you know? I would have won...

Pocket Change – Jeez. Everyone had such high hopes that she pulled a good amount off the board. Unfortunately for her, she pick all the low numbers...

Barkers Bargain Bar – Nothing really to say except he made a good choice. The bar was really under-priced, and the drum set couldn’t have been that much more expensive...

Bullseye – I think the peanut butter was more expensive than everyone thought. But that mistake didn’t cost her a bit. It may have made thins a bit more difficult, but she won nonetheless.

Switcheroo – ALL 5! When was the last time that happened? Not recently, that’s for sure… And let me just say, any day they have 2 cars back-to-back, especially in one half, is a special day.

Most Expensive – Another good decision. The luggage looked cheap and so did the chair. The home gym was the only thing there that looked really pricey...

Showcases – All I have to say is “Wow.” To start, Diane’s showcase was REALLY cheap – everyone thought it was MUCH more expensive, and so did I – I bid $18K. MEANWHILE, I bid $35K on Angela’s showcase - I would have had a difference of only $282!

All in all, a good show – 4 for 6, and as always, humerous moments. The best being Ronald who Bob said was a “drunk drummer”...

Check Game- The moment that Connie wrote that check for $2,000 dollars I had a feeling she had lost.

Pocket Change- Ugh! Diane should have known the last number was 0 immediatly but it wouldn't have mattered she probably would have still lost.

Barker Bargain Bag- The bar Is also what I chose as the bigger bargain.

Bullseye- The other Diane was real lucky I felt that her first guess  on the peanut butter was off the rocker.

Switcheroo- Wow' out of nowhere Chirsty had all five right. Good job.

Check Game: Tough break. She knew how to play the game. I thought Mexican trips were cheap! Not today, obviously.

Pocket Game: It's a shame Diane M. lost this today, because not only was it her favorite game, it's one of my favorites too. The second and last digits were gimmies, but the third and fourth could have been anything. I would have had $1.00 for the car as well. If it's of any consolation to her, even if she had not made that stupid mistake on that last digit, she would still have lost by a nickel. So, by making that mistake, she made the loss less painful than it could have been.

BBB: Fairly easy.

SSD1: Another surprise- Diane wins the spin-off with 35 cents!

Bullseye: WHAT?!? THIS PLAYED FOR A $25,000+ CAR?!?!? You've got to be freakin' kidding me! Believe it or not, it was actually easy to win, as long as you picked the cookies and you weren't insane! She was going to go with two of the cat litter (which also would have won), but it didn't matter! What a big win!!

Switcheroo: AND THIS PLAYED FOR A $24,000+ TRUCK?!? The surprises keep on coming! And believe it or not, it's won as well, because there's a nine in the fourth digit!! Not only that, all of the prizes were won!! Unbelievable!

Most Expensive: Pretty easy.

SSD2: Can you believe neither car winner made it to the showcase? Darn!

Showcase: Yet another surprise in this surprising day- A CONVERTIBLE IN A FURNITURE SHOWCASE!!! HOLY TOLEDO!!
Both showcases were pretty nice today, BTW! I'll have to be honest- after all bids were in, I thought Angela for sure was toast, and Diane would get her redemption after losing her favorite pricing game. But I was stunned when the trip showcase was unbelieveably cheap! I thought Tahiti was super expensive! Gosh, I am kicking myself right now for that prediction!

Overall: Without a doubt, this is one of the five best shows of the season! Great prizes, contestants and games- what more could you want?

Five Price Tags on Monday, Pathfinder on Tuesday, Switcheroo on Wednesday... think there's any chance Roger's treating us with a finale week of all the small prize car games played?  Ooh, we can only hope to see Master Key and Spelling Bee over the next two days!

I really like how Kristi played Switcheroo.  While yes, she did place the number in the car price second, she did look everything over, and put everything in spaces to make the prices look reasonable.  Then, after getting only 1 right on the first try, she carefully looked everything over, and seemed to put actual thought into what to change.  Good job, Kristi, getting all five right!  Or just the car:  that's what counts, right?  Almost as fun as yesterday's Pathfinder segment!

Speaking of Kristi, why did she ask for Bob to help her spin the wheel?  She looked fairly fit.  She wasn't tiny.  She was young.  For some reason, though, she didn't even try to spin it once.

I wish Bob would start making sure that the contestant really does know how to play Check Game when they say they do.  Not that Connie really did anything to make me believe she didn't know how to play.  Really, Connie had no chance of winning anyway.

It doesn't bother me so much today that Bullseye was won with the hidden bullseye.  The last time Bullseye was won like that, Roger obviously had no intent for the game to be won that way, and it was disgusting to see it happen.  The difference today was that Roger obviously wanted the game won by any means possible today:  anyone who picked the cookies essentially had an automatic win!  A 60% chance of winning for doing nothing... not sure I like it, but at least Roger meant for that to happen this time.

I'm betting Ronald's neighbors wish that Ronald would have lost Barker's Bargain Bar (http://www.angelfire.com/la3/goldenroad15/misc/smile3.txt)!

Cool!  John made a PSP reference:  actual reason for it too!

I like it more when contestants bid $xx,500 instead of $xx,000.  It creates better suspense when you realize that the contestant might be over when Bob reads the first two numbers.

Has there ever been a show before where all three second half contestants won a car (http://www.angelfire.com/la3/goldenroad15/misc/smile1.txt)?

You can't honestly have expected any normal person to have won Check Game today.  It was a forced loss, plain and simple.  At least if you don't count anyone on this forum.

It was clear the car inventory day on Price it appears.  Pocket Change had the potential for a win (even though she had bad luck for her envelopes), Bullseye was a win waiting to happen, Switcheroo, while a difficult game, surprised me when the digit for the car was 9 to complete a 95 ending. And the convertible showcase, while notoriously contestants underbid there, was definately the winner with the second showcase at just over $13K with an apparently expensive trip.  That's just my opinion of course...

I didn't really watch until Most Expensive, and threw my headphones down when the Tahiti showcase was cheap (overbid by just $296!) I knew THAT one was coming! Wasn't mad at the top winner (though I did have bad, unwanted thoughts of Patrick Flueger playing a character who does mean things to young women), but I'd give this episode a C-. I'm not quite feeling the Showcase win in Angela (sorry, don't know the last name). $40,000+ is not enough. I expected more than this. This episode was pretty much your average episode. I hope tomorrow (my grandmother's 80th birthday)'s episode is a lot better than this... :-(

Well... um... we don't know Angela's last name, either.  I think most of us pay little attention to that, unless there's something memorable about it, like Holly Wood a few seasons ago, or Nicole Thorenson/Thornbrough/Barrington back eight years ago (http://www.angelfire.com/la3/goldenroad15/misc/smile3.txt)!  Or Ms. Lemongelli, who's first name I don't remember!

I really didn't expect the trip to Cabo to break $3500.  Boy was I wrong.

It's a little bittersweet knowing that Pocket Change would have been lost even if Diane didn't pick 6 as the last number.

This is just my general opinion, but Bullseye should never be played for anything over $20,000, and today's playing pretty much proved it.  Honestly was really amusing how close it was to being lost.

I think the Showcase round was definitely rigged to give the Convertible showcase away.

Check Game-Yikes!  I had no idea some trips to Cabo San Lucas exceeded $4000!

Pocket Change-Poor Diane, she said she knew how to play the game, but envelope picks were unlucky.

Barker's Bargain Bar-That bar set was screaming to be picked.

Bullseye-Wow, a $25,000+ car as the prize.  She looked like she wanted to say two cat litters, which would result in a win, but she won anyway with the hidden bullseye.

Switcheroo-When she had the blocks in place on her second try, I knew she won all five.  It's cool to see the check marks flash all at once.

Most Expensive-Easy setup today.  That home gym was begging to be picked.

Showcases-What! That must have been one cheap trip to Tahiti.  Usually, trips like that exceed $10,000.

Overall, a great show today.

Check Game: I thought for sure $2530 would cover it, for I thought it was

Pocket Change: I felt for Diane, in that I thought she won.  I thought the price was fairly easy.

BBB: I figured that the bar set was the bigger bargain.

Bullseye: Wow, amazing. A $25,000 Car?!  I thought for sure Diane would pick 2 cat litters, but it didn't matter.

Switcheroo: Unbelieveable, I knew the cereal dispenser was $40.  I figured she had all 5 right the second time.

Most Expensive: I knew the home gym was the Most expensive.

Showcase: I would have went with $27,210 for the Sebring.  22K wasn't even close.  My mouth dropped when the Tahiti trip was in the low 13K.  I would have bid $17,000 and be over by a lot.

Overall: Another fun show today.

Interesting show today.

Check Game---I thought the Cabo trip was at least $3400.  Unfortunately, my jaw dropped when it was $4356.  Obviously Roger made it very difficult today and also a forced loss there.

Pocket Change---when it came to the last number, she said "6."  I screamed "WHAT?!!!"  It's zero!!!  She did have bad luck with the envelopes.

Bullseye---I was totally surprised to see it won today with a $25000 car.  When was the last time Bullseye was played for a car?

Switcheroo---Nice win as well--when they showed the pitcher as one of the small prizes, I noticed that it was the same one from Half off a couple weeks back (the $22 one).  The pitcher was priced at $11 on that Half off game but the contestant chose the other product, which was wrong.  When she had one right, I knew it was the pitcher that was right.  Every other price was wrong.

The showcase: Angela lowballed.  I thought that Diane M had that showcase with the Tahiti trip.  $13,500 was a reasonable bid in my honest opinion.  I have 3 words to say about her overbid---just her luck.  It was $13,284.  She overbid by $216.  I felt bad for Diane M.

Wow, a 4-car day.  Unbelievable.

Check Game – This was pretty tough.  Too bad she lost.

Pocket Change – My dad guessed the price of the car correctly without making a mistake.  He would have won.  Too bad she would have lost anyway if she had picked the 0.

Barkers Bargain Bar – Easy.

Bullseye – Wow, when I noticed it was being played for a car, I was shocked.  Haha, she cracked me up while playing.  Awesome win!

Switcheroo – She got all 5 right!  Played perfectly!

Most Expensive – Easy.

Showcases – Bummer for Diane to lose by so little.  Furniture AND a car in Angela's showcase---don't see that too much.

Actually, she got all 5 right on her second try.  But wasn't that oh so cool to see?  I literally jumped out of my seat and jumped up and down when she won all 5 prizes including that truck.

What else can I say about this truly awesome show?  I am at a loss for words.  LOL!

I hope someone made a clip of the Bullseye playing and uploaded it on Youtube.  That playing was a pretty excited playing.

Hope tomorrow's show will have the same power of today's.  Later, gang!

Anyone who would have won Check Game here, good for you. I'm sure all of us thought that she would have won, thinking the trip was around $3000. That was a forced loss. I was shocked. I said write a $2500 check as well.

Diane played Pocket Change okay. I think she got the concept of avoiding the 0 until the end, but I thought she was smarter than that, picking 6 as the last number. If she did pick 0, she still would have lost by a nickel. Also, did Bob seem like he was rushing through getting the game done?

Bargain Bar was fairly easy. I still would have picked the bar set. I liked Bob's comment about a drunk drummer, and how Robert said he enjoyed music and drinking.

I'm kind of glad Bullseye was won. It was simple for me, and I was happy Diane won. She seemed confused at first, buying 8 peanut butters, and actually counting on her hands beforehand 2, 4, 6, 8. I can't blame her for thinking the package of cookies was $1. And she was also gonna buy 2 cat litters, which would have been right! But it all worked out.

Kristi did a good job with Switcheroo. She seemed focused, and not rushed. She took her time after only getting 1 right, and she nailed it! Good for you!

Most Expensive was easy. Enough said.

Hey gang!!!!!! It's been awhile since i've posted-considering i've gotten married and travelled across the southeast these last 3 weeks.I was in Kentucky, Virginia, Mississippi, Florida, Georgia, Alabama and finally back to our home state of Tennessee. It's good to be home and moving in a house. Finally my thoughts on today's show....

Check Game: I thought that trip was around $3500. Guess I would have lost as well.

Pocket Change: Ouch, tough luck there. Thinking that last number was "6" sure hurt her.

BBB: Easy enough.

Bullseye: WHOA, when was the last time this was played for a car?!?!? That's the 1st time i've ever saw it for a car. Good win to boot.

Switcheroo: Outstanding. Probably the best this game has been played all year, outside earlier in the year when a contestant named James played.

Most Expensive: As BBB earlier, easy.

Showcases: Tough luck for Diane there.

Overall, excellent show today, great selection of games-especially Bullseye for a car. What surprises await us tomorrow? Can't wait to find out.

A rare day when I don't normally post.  Who would have thought 2 games won with 2 cars in a row?

A Chrysler Pacifica, and A Dodge Ram Truck. Amazing.

I don't each watch because I work.

PG #1 - Man, talk about your forced Check Game loss!  I don't think anybody would've guessed that any trip to Mexico would cost over $4,000.

One-Bid #2 - Ass blow-up cart!  :-P  :-D

PG #2 - Painful loss there, as the car's price was fairly easy.

PG #4 - WOW!  Car game 4th again!  :-P  :-P  :-P  Bully?!  :-D  :-D  :-D  A non-car game for a nice car instead of a Focus or an Aveo.  That's just... WOW!  For such a nice car at stake, Roger set this us for a win.  He put the hidden bullseye behind the easiest product on the table!  Bully for a car!  Unbelieveable!

PG #5 - The GP/SP games are back-to-back again... and both are played for cars!  Has that ever happened before?  But man, I love it when Roo gets the rare win!  I love it even more when everything's won.  I believe this car game was also set up to be won.  None of the small prizes looked like they were worth $90, so the truck was the only logical place for the 9.

PG #6 - Another easy setup.

Showbids - A furniture showcase with a convertible?!  "No, Angela!  That doesn't even cover the convertible!"  And the actual retail price is... $13,000... *pause tape* "Don't tell me we've got another DSW on a trip package!" *restarts tape* OUCH!  I knew that second showcase was gonna be an el cheapo, but I didn't think it'd be that cheap.  I thought my bid of $14,000 was conservative!

My bids - Convertible:  $30,500.  Trip:  $14,000.

Overall - Let me repeat this, ya'll--BULLY WAS PLAYED FOURTH FOR A CAR!        Needless to say, this was another great show.  Back-to-back great shows don't happen too often.

I went to middle school and high school with Angela's brother, Jesse.  Nice guy, although I had no idea he had a sister until four days ago. (http://www.golden-road.net/grnoldx/modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif)

I'm amazed how bad the Check Game loss was, considering the trip was only down to Mexico.

If I'm not mistaken, this is the first time all season that Pocket ˘hange has been played in an odd-numbered week.

Speaking of Pocket ˘hange, there is no way anyone should have missed the last number.  (Not that it ended up mattering, but still.)

Bob's line about a drunk drummer was hilarious. (http://www.golden-road.net/grnoldx/modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_lol.gif)

Roger clearly wanted to give away cars today...and Diane and Angela should both thank their lucky stars that he did, because the former obviously had no idea what she doing in Bullseye, and the latter, much as I hate to say it, made a really bad bid on her showcase.  I still can't believe how cheap Diane M.'s showcase was...the budget must be in insanely good shape or something for Roger to make it that hard for the car showcase not to be won.

And on a side note...has it ever been more clear that Roger wanted Bullseye won?  Pretty much all you had to do was use the cookies!

I was stunned when the final result of Switcheroo appeared.  That game has had an interesting year -- it's only been won twice, and both times, the person playing it won everything.

Shame on you, Bob.  St. Marys isn't anywhere near Erie. (http://www.golden-road.net/grnoldx/modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_razz.gif)

It doesn't count for a contestant to say they know how to play Check Game unless Bob has them explain the rules correctly.

Speaking of Check Game, it irked me so much for Bob having discouraged Connie from finishing the cheque.

I don't know how Diane managed to miss the last digit in Pocket ˘hange.  Even then, I guess it really didn't affect the outcome.

Bob's exchange with Donald in Barker's Bargain Bar was hilarious, though he gives us drummers a bad name. :-P

Bullseye for a car...yeah, it's happened before, but not in the fourth slot if I'm correct.  Now, if only Bullseye had been the only car game in the second half...

Speaking of Bullseye, as haphazardly and confusingly as Diane played it, she was pretty fun.

Wow, Kristi managed to win all five prizes in Switcheroo.  That was pretty sweet.

Speaking of Switcheroo, they have got to get longer SP plugs at the very least.  The SP descriptions were way too quick.

And if I never said it before, I love CSS. :-D

Um...okay. That certainly was...strange.

(For what it's worth, her last name is Fox.)

For a second, I thought it was Malone! (I feel so much better now.) No hard feelings--as I said, just your average episode. I'm putting this under my "Favorite Contestants" list (I already have two--one from Season 30 and the other from Season 32). Tomorrow's episode STILL needs to be better than this...perhaps a $50K+ Showcase win or more, I suggest? ;-)

You must be missing one.  There was an awesome contestant in Season 31.  Around February 4th.

Let me guess: would that be you? I was going to think Rhiannon Remberton (11/26/03) at first. She won $61,181 in cash and prizes, but wrong season. I'm not sure. Just go ahead and tell me! I know it's not Leigha (Season 31 - 12/5/01--she won $36,664 in cash and prizes)!

You're counting shows, and I'm counting modeling totals.  Four shows and 12 modeling totals left.

All 25 prizes today totaled $146,962!

Pretty good show today.

With a surprisingly expensive trip to Mexico, Check Game was hard.

It was neat to see Bullseye being played for a car fourth, but Diane got lucky that she won. If you picked the cookies, as she did, it was a win.

It's nice that Switcheroo was won perfectly.

Bidding Round #1- #245, Angela (http://img226.imageshack.us/img226/3340/245angela621068zw.jpg)! :-D

Check Game- Ouch. For Check Game, that was one evil price.

Switcheroo- Whoa! Talk about out of nowhere.

Showcase- So much for the streak of awesome bids. Angela didn't even cover the car! She got lucky since Diane got screwed big time. But hey, I'm not complaining... a hottie wins the Showcase for the second time this week! :-D

BEST CONTESTANT OF THE DAY- Diane K.

SHOW SUMMARY AND GRADE- A pretty mediocre show... Grade: 2

It's close to midnight and I'm finally getting around to posting my comments. Work and college kept me busy all afternoon and I'm wiped!

Here we go:

Check Game- Two words: FORCED LOSS. Apparently Roger didn't want this game won today.

Pocket Change- Too bad. I thought our contestant played it very well. Those dang money cards!

Barker's Bargain Bar- Hallelujuah, we have a winner!!! After the first two games being lost I thought things would be headed down hill.

Bullseye- I don't think she knew what she was doing, or thinking. Thankfully she was able to get a marker on the cookies since it had the Bullseye

Switcheroo- I was wondering if that game would come around this week. Sure enough it did. And a very nice win to boot. To me win you win a game like this, or other multiple prize games, you really shouldn't care about getting into the showcases since you basically just won one.

Most Expensive- I was too tired while watching it since I just played it on VHS tonight. So in my mind everything was expensive. Good way to end a good show.

Showcases- Yay! they put a car in a furniture showcase! That's not really done all that often and it's nice to see it.

Final Comments: I really didn't take any notice to hot chicks today, except for the beauties. ;) The show had some good high energy. Bob got a little laugh when one contestant thought they were gonna get decked when another contestant was gonna hug them. Also it really looked like when Roger was planning today's show he was in his office saying to himself "I think I'll give away about 4 fairly expensive cars on that episode." Sure enough he was able to at least give away 3 out of the 4. Of course since we gave away over $100,000 in prizes today that means we'll probably have a little budget crunching before the season finale.

Today's show gets an A+

Just out of curiosity, how many episodes this season gave away more than $100,000?

You're kidding.  Switcheroo is a car and four 2-digit prizes.  I guess Five Price Tags is like winning a showcase too?  Or any other small prize game?  Seriously... Switcheroo is no more a multi-prize game than any other small prize game.  Not counting Master Key.

At least seven, so far, including today.

Bullseye was played for a car before.  On September 25, 2001 Bullseye was the fifth game played for a Ford Mustang.  Bullseye was also the only game played for a car for the 2nd half of that show.

I want to see Joker played for a car.  Has that ever happened?

That's a good idea, but someone needs to talk to The Dob about playing Joker for a car. He just might love the idea!

(Oh, and I'm still adding Angela to my "Favorite Contestants" list behind the other three from Seasons 29, 31, and 32, in case you're wondering. Who would've thought that the second Showcase was cheap?!)

Check: Finally, A HISTORICAL TPIR MOMENT(is it really?), somebody who knew how to play check game and their claim to do such WAS TRUE! Too damn bad she shot into the jet stream with that 6886 total. What is the highest total in Check?

Pocket Change: Awful low envelopes picked today. I've asked about the envelope distribution(since we can't see it at home!) and nobody ever seems to answer this one. We know there are 50 cent, 75, 2 bucks, etc., but what are the other amounts in this game? She played really well, but got that damn zero which was probably the end right there.

BBB: I would have thought that Bar was more and lost. Nice win

Bullseye: WHOA, GOTTA GO WITH THE CROWD. Has this game ever been played for a car? And if so, how long ago? That 25k car and Bullseye would be something I'd expect on a MDS, or season premiere, or maybe even an Xmas week show, but not on a run of the mill show. And to put the cookies in this one, almost reminded me of the Pappy setup on Season 34 premiere. Wow, does the Dob have too many cars double parked on Fairfax or what? :D. Almost lost, and would have been a real laught if it was.

Roo: Didn't we just play for a car 5 minutes ago? Wow, even though she didn't get an exacta 5 on the first try, the second try with a 5 works just as well! Very nicely done!

Most expensive: Easy enough. I guess we are trying to get rid of all this loot before the close of the season?

Showcases: Ouch! I knew something was up when the crowd got quiet with Diane's bid reveal. I was going with the notion that we had our(9th?) latest DSW of Season 34. It is a real shot in the heart when they lose by so little, but over is OVER. Rules are the rules. Oh well.

8.5 show today, if it wouldn't have been for such losses in PC and Check.

The distribution is in the Pocket Change entry in the FAQ.

Actually, if she did pick the zero, it would have just made for a much more painful loss.  Actually, that would've made for a more interesting loss, though (http://www.angelfire.com/la3/goldenroad15/misc/smile5.txt).

I had thought she did. My bad if not, all these playing during s. 34 are starting to jumble my mind. Hey, only 3 more shows to go and I can catch the ones I missed this season(quite a few from the schedule I've seen)

EDIT: Hey, at least the Dob did what you people asked. Remember, when we had 2 exacta wins back in 2005 with this game? Everyone griped it was too easy, well, it has been made tougher.

Is this because of the "El Cheapo" Showcase (Diane M. overbidding by nearly $200)? Just curious...

Wasn't GoldenBulldog the one who loved seeing tricky setups that made the contestants lose? Or did I screw up the joke?

My wife and I are playing catch-up with our TPIR viewing this week, and we just watched this episode. We both had the same reactions to these two happenings:

1. Diane in Bullseye. We both felt she didn't deserve to win, and won with blind luck.

2. Switcheroo deserved to be won because she thought about what she was doing, she was deliberate, and she had the good sense to know that ugly pitcher couldn't be anything but $22.

The only things I remember about Bulldog are that he rigged his Play Along show and that he created a daily award for...well, this (http://www.golden-road.net/grnoldx/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=129833#129833).  (The link goes to Frank's post, 'cause Bulldog edited the original.)
