HERE IT COMES!
Ah yes, another exciting episode of RC's Price is Right. I've ironed out all the issues from the last episode and even built new, shiny game props! I can't show you any because that'd be spoilers, but I promise they're very nice. Everything is in place and ready to go, so COME ON DOWN!
You all should know the rules of TPIR by now. This will be a full hour show as always, but in order to keep things exciting I've mixed things up just a bit in the prize department. The rules are all the same.
That being said, we'll start with the same old guessing game. The first game will involve at least one car. The first person to guess that game correctly (pro tip: don't repeat!) will get an automatic spot in the first four.
Sign ups will occur until Friday, November 30 at 6 PM Eastern or when we get 9 players, whichever comes second.
Enjoy the show!
-
Sign me up. And my guess is Money Game.
-
I'm in!
I'm feeling like you'll offer more than one car, so I'll guess Switch?
-
Ill give it a go and guess Lucky $even
-
To help you guys out, here's the lineups from the first three games. Car games are bolded.
Episode 1: Take Two, Magic #, Bonus Game, Pick a Number, Cover Up, Grand Game
Episode 2: Penny Ante*, Double Prices, 1/2 Off, Race Game, One Wrong Price**, Check Out
Episode 3: Fill In The Blank (created), Secret X, Money Game, Squeeze Play, Lucky $even, Pay the Rent
*Two cars instead of grocery products
**For one car and two medium prizes
There will be no retired or created games this time around. Also, I live at college now so I won't be banned from the computer for not taking out the garbage (http://www.golden-road.net/index.php/topic,18630.45.html) ;)
-
Sign me up.... I'm going to guess Triple Play.
-
I'll sign up. My guess is Any Number.
-
I am in. I'll say That's Too Much
-
Definitely include me and my guess is Card Game! :-D
-
I'm in & I say 3 Strikes.
-
I'll sign up and go with Gas Money
-
I am going to go completely off the grid and say It's Optional...
I am in as well.
-
Dang most of the obvious choices being obviously chosen already...
Meh, let's try Five Price Tags.
Cyclone
-
Dang most of the obvious choices being obviously chosen already...
When do you know me to make obvious choices?
-
When do you know me to make obvious choices?
Never said that. Just that most of the obvious choices are obviously chosen, obviously. Isn't is obvious?
Hey, quit looking at me like that. I'm fine. Really.
Cyclone
-
This show will start in about six hours, so if you haven't signed up yet, do so now!
-
I'm In!
-
I'd like to play (even though I'm busy this weekend)
I'm predicting Bargain Bar.

And here's your host... JET STEVENS!!!!
*cheers*
Welcome to RC's Price is Right!
*cheers*
Hey, it was about one year ago today that we started this show, and we're thrilled to have some new faces and returning faces here today. Speaking of returning faces, say hello to Jeff Davis!
Great to be back, Jet!
All right, let's see what the first item up for bids this time is on RC's Price is Right!
It's a trip to see the 2013 Rose Bowl!
(Mr. Touchdown USA) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dXz1ACGa3Ek)
You and five friends will be transported via limo to Pasadena, California, where you'll all get tickets to see the 2013 Rose Bowl between the Pac-12 champion Stanford Cardinal and the Big Ten champion Nebraska Cornhuskers!
wpghi5, we'll start with you.
Bidding order:
wpghi5
123123123
Cyclone
Canadian-TPIRfan
-
I'll say $2200.
-
...and the Big Ten champion Nebraska Cornhuskers!
Why didn't you tell us you had a time machine?
I also would have used it for Powerball, but to each his own.
-
$2,500, please
-
How the heck...
$3,333. Why not.
Cyclone
-
I'm gonna bid $2,850.
-
And the actual -
*BZZ BZZ BZZ BZZ*
So much for that. All of you are over. What a way to start the show!
*laughter*
The highest bid was $2,200. Don't bid higher than that or you're a moron.
-
$1! :oldlol: :-D
-
$3, please. This way no one can accuse me of 1-upping them :-)
-
Well that was interesting...
-
question here i got a message sayin i was one of the first four contestants but i am seeing that i am not in contestants row
-
And the actual -
*BZZ BZZ BZZ BZZ*
So much for that. All of you are over. What a way to start the show!
*laughter*
The highest bid was $2,200. Don't bid higher than that or you're a moron.
Don't you mean lowest bid?
-
I was going to say "priceless". Would have been a good time for that joke, in hindsight.
question here i got a message sayin i was one of the first four contestants but i am seeing that i am not in contestants row
It was sent to wpghi5, myself, 03F5man, and Canadian-TPIRfan. Clearly 123123123 should have got that instead.
I just noticed it's my bid; those $1 and $3 bids threw me off. I will bid $2...no, not really. Let's go $1,111 so it's not so easy for the final bidder.
Cyclone
-
$1,150... and I was secretly hoping that Cyclone would actually bid $5
-
question here i got a message sayin i was one of the first four contestants but i am seeing that i am not in contestants row
Yes, I mistakenly sent the message to you instead of 123123123, my sincere apologies.
Don't you mean lowest bid?
Yes.
I have also been informed that the Rose Bowl will be between the Stanford Cardinal and the Wisconsin Badgers, an error to the previous report. As ticket prices have not changed, the Contestant's Row round will carry out unaffected. Post in a moment.
-
And the actual retail price is...
$1,150
Canadian-TPIRfan, you're going to play the first pricing game!
Now Canadian-TPIRfan, do you remember what we did before the show? We had a guessing game to determine what the first pricing game would be, and it just happened to be that you won! Yes, you picked the right game! And I'm so glad that it's you to get this news! Jeff, tell him!
It's a new CADILLAC!
(Match Game/Hollywood Squares Hour) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVIz77nqpog)
The 2013 Cadillac CTS Coupe! Comes with standard equipment, performance rear wheel drive with Bose audio surround sound, and a power sunroof!
It should be no surprise to you, then, that we are playing 3 Strikes.
First things first, I can tell you that there are five numbers in the price of this car, and they are, in some order:
1
4
5
7
9
There are, of course, also three strikes in the bag. If you pick three strikes, you will lose the game. If, on the other hand, you draw a number, and I hope you will at some point draw all five, then you will have to determine where the number you drew is in the actual retail price of that Cadillac. If you can fill in all five numbers correctly, you win the game. Sound good? Great! Go ahead and draw that first number.
Canadian-TPIRfan, please give me a number 1-8, a number 1-7, and a number 1-6. I will put the lists of numbers, with three strikes, into random.org's list generator and use the number you selected as your draw. The 1-7 and 1-6 range are for if and when you draw strikes.
-
Wait, he bid $1,150 and the ARP was $1,150...I think you forgot something...
I'll withhold beaning him this time for that reason.
Cyclone
-
1-8 range: 3
1-7 range: 5
1-6 range: 2
(and to reinforce Cyclone, do I also get the $500 bonus for my $1,150 bid?)
-
sigh... I'm an idiot.
Three major blunders and we haven't even started the first bloody pricing game...
EDIT: So S&P doesn't get on my ass, take your $500.
-
And Canadian-TPIRfan has drawn...
1
Where in the price of that car does that 1 belong?
-
I'm going to say the 5th number is 1.
-
Canadian-TPIRfan can I get one of those rose bowl tickets im a HUGE badgers fan
-
He says the fifth number is 1...
NO
Ouch, bummer. Draw another chip.
4
The 4. Where does it belong?
-
So wait, he actually wasn't right? Hey buddy, you owe me $250 since I opted not to bean you. :D #NotReally
Cyclone
-
I'm saying 4 is the 1st number
(and yes 03F5man, you can come to the Rose Bowl with me, and as a peace offering to Cyclone, he gets to come too :D)
-
First number?
Yes! One number down, four to go. Draw another chip.
X
*bzz* Oh no! A strike! That's okay, we're going to put that away, and you still have two strikes left. Let's see a number!
X
*bzz* Uh oh, this game just became dangerous. One more strike and this game is over before it started.
Canadian-TPIRfan, please give me another number 1-5, 1-4, 1-3, and 1-2.
-
1-5: 4
1-4: 3
1-3: 3
1-2: 2
-
And Canadian-TPIRfan has drawn...
9
The 9. Where is that 9 in the price of the car?
-
I'm gonna say 9 is the 3rd number.
-
Third number?
NO
Now is not the time to be messing that up. Please don't get another strike.
7
All right, that 7 is new. Where do you think it goes?
-
I'm gonna say that 7 is the 5th number
-
Taking another shot at that fifth...
NO
Well, you're narrowing down your options. Draw again.
9
There's the 9 again.
-
Here's hoping that 9 is the 5th number...cause I'm guessing it's 5th.
-
One more time... Fifth number?
NO
Well I think you should know which number is fifth now. Draw another chip.
1
How about that 1?
-
I'm gonna say 1 is the 4th number.
-
Please let 1 be the fourth number...
NO
NO!!! Ouch, you are getting nowhere in this game. We need you to draw something and get some numbers on the board!
9
If I'm not mistaken, this should be 50/50.
-
If I may suggest to the contestant, I think the fourth digit. This seems to be a standard model.
Of course, I offer no guarantee.
Cyclone
-
9 is the 4th digit (I sure hope.)
-
He sure hopes...
And it is! Two digits down, three to go! Now DON'T draw a strike!
X
(losing horn) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ytCEuuW2_A)
OH NO! Aww, sorry.
The final price was $47,195. You hit those two strikes early in the game and that messed you up for the entire rest of the game. Sorry, but at least you'll be back for the Showcase Showdown. Now Jeff, let's get another player up here right away!
You got it! How about pathfinder20! Come on down, you're the next contestant on RC's Price is Right!
pathfinder20! Welcome to the show. Now what's the next item up for bids today?
It's a rowing machine!
(Star Prizes (a)) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5vi9QjJqGk)
This fun water rower is one of the quietest and smoothest on the market, and is finished with ash wood and stained with honey oak.
Not quite a Cadillac, but that looks like a fun prize. pathfinder20, what's your bid?

$69. (Had to do it.)

*looks at Cyclone and shakes my head* Might as well said two bucks....
I considered $64. I play chess, which uses a 64 square board. I also like the number 67 and may use that another time. :)
Cyclone
-

-
*laughter*
Sixty... oh dear.
*more laughter*
The actual retail price is...
$1,095
And... oh wow, he won.
*Cyclone comes on stage*
pathfinder, bummer. Wrong ending for you. Anyway, hello Cyclone! Jeff Davis has a few prizes for you, I think.
Well, he already has a rowing machine, so let's give him a full exercise room!
(Phone Home) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zf8pZkvpy3k)

Second, this barbell rack has ten barbells totaling 150 pounds.
Third, from Life Fitness, this foldable treadmill has state of the art technology and connects to your iPod.
(http://www.webstaurantstore.com/tile-lock-interlocking-weight-room-mat-2-x-2-full-block-3-8-thick/tile-lock-interlocking-weight-room-mat-2-x-2-full-block-3-8-thick.jpg)
And finally, 100 square feet of rubber interlocking tile to floor your exercise room.
Cyclone, this game is so easy, it's a push over.
*boos*
Ah, deal with it. You're going to want to push the blocks into that blue window so that the four blocks in the window equal the price of that exercise room. Remember, include ALL of the prizes into the final price. Also, if you push the blocks over the edge, we can't get them back. Those blocks go straight to China, and noting we owe them $1 trillion, they probably won't give them back.
-
Audience assistance please.
I'm thinking about $3K for the home gym, $2-3K for the treadmill, maybe $400 for the barbells, and not sure what the tiling costs. Stating the obvious, it's either $8,859, $8,594, $5,947, $9,476, $4,765, or $7,651. I'm kinda ruling out $9,476 and $8,859 so far but would like advice on my breakdown, or if I'm even too high and should go for $4,765. :)
Can't believe pathfinder missed by $4.
Cyclone
-
I'd say $9,476, but that's just me.
-
I'd go with $5,947, but this is just a guess
-
I'd go either $8,859 or $8,594, but it's only a guess on my part.
-
Well, it's the price of that flooring that would make or break it. Still putting it together, but what are thoughts on the flooring?
Cyclone
-
Actually, ignore that. I'm overthinking it. The treadmill can't be more than $2,500, the weights actually look cheap, the flooring must be cheap (let's say a couple hundred for each)...and the home gym another couple grand (after thinking, I now realize even in Canada I've never seen a $3,000 home gym). High end, the two pricy items come to $4,500, but if the treadmill is a little lower as I think, I'm around $4,250-$4,350 for those. $400 (the "couple hundred" each guessed on the barbells and flooring) gets close to the option of $4,765, which I'm going to go with.
I gotta stop overthinking these things and just go with my initial gut. I could still be wrong, but I intially thought $7K as a good prize amount and tried to meet that estimate instead of the other way around. :)
So $4,765. China only gets $1. :D
Cyclone
-
Well, we'll have to slash the budget by $999,999,999, but we'll do that over the next 999,999,999 episodes :P
He goes $4,765... and IS... HE... RIGHT?
(losing horn) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ytCEuuW2_A)

We're 0 for 2, hopefully we'll have a winner coming up next.

Cyclone
I'm pretty sure you underpriced the gym and treadmill. Also, why ask for audience help if you're going to ignore everyone's suggestion?
-
I think the gym was in the $4k-$5k range. The floor tile was pretty expensive as well, I want to say it was close to $1k. Treadmill made up most of the rest

Bumping since we started a new page.

Is it higher?
HIGHER
$70
Very good, it's higher! Go ahead and put this chip by one of the four shells.
*pathfinder20 places it next to shell #1*
Let's move on to the second item.
A complete set of the 2012 Topps NFL trading card series. Comes with all 440 players in the set plus 5 exclusive rookie cards.
$53
We have the price of that at $53. Is the actual retail price higher or lower?
-
I am really not sure about the cards at all: I am going to take my chances and say higher.
-
It is...
$45
LOWER
Lower! Oh no! Let's get some revenge on the third item.

From Casio, this digital watch is made of stainless steel.
$49
What do you say about this one?
-
I have an Casio Watch: those suckers are not cheap: Higher.

And it is...
$35
LOWER
WOW! A lot lower. You seemed pretty confident about that, too. Hopefully you'll nail this final item.

It's a 6 month membership to the Wine of the Month Club! Every month for 6 months, receive an exquisite wine right at your doorstep! From AmazingClubs.com.
$160
Six months worth of wine... is it higher or lower than $160?
-
Need help here? Not a wino person.
-
Why do you have to be a wino to know this? 6 Wine bottles a month, $160 would mean each is $26. I would assume if they are "exquisite" wines they would be at least $30 or more. ($180) So I'd say HIGHER.
-
I will take your word on it Vader: Higher please. (Only got myself to blame here if I am wrong.)

Let's try number 3. *places by shell three*

Well, we played Bonus Game in Episode 1, and Asja had a 50/50 shot and won. Let's see if you can do just that. The first shell you chose was number 2.
No luck there. That brings us down to number 3. If the ball is under here, you're a winner...
(losing horn) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ytCEuuW2_A)
Aw, I'm sorry. That means the ball was under...
Shell number one. Sorry pathfinder20. But hey, we'll see you in the Showcase Showdown, which is right after this!
-
I'm currently awaiting a ruling that is preventing me from starting the Showcase Showdown. If this takes longer than 24 hours (it won't), then we will continue on to PG4 so as not to waste any more time, then go back to SCSD1 when the ruling is available.
Besides, I need to start writing essays anyway. Semester ends next Friday and I still have 4 essays and 4 finals >_>
-
And that entire altercation could have been avoided had I noticed Canadian-TPIRfan went on an epic tirade and was banned. Aww.
Nevertheless, we will have a TWO MAN SCSD DUEL!

Welcome back to RC's Price is Right! It's time for our first Showcase Showdown. Contestants, you know the drill. You'll need to get as close to a dollar, without going over, in one spin or a combination of two spins. As a reminder, if you get a dollar on the nose, you'll win $1,000 and a bonus spin. If in that bonus spin you get 5 or 15, you'll win $10,000! But if you get another dollar, you'll win $25,000!
Cyclone, you won the least in the first half and will spin first.
Spinning order:
Cyclone
Canadian-TPIRfan
pathfinder20
(2 numbers 1-20 and a stop value)
-
Pfft, what an embarrassment to other Canadians like myself...
Wait, what? 7 and 11, as per usual, bonus spin if I luck out is a 17.
Before I indicate a stopping number, I want to clarify: did you say there are only TWO people in this? One has been banned and cannot participate? (If I'm 50 or under I'm definitely spinning again, 70 and over definitely stopping, it's middle ground I might change my mind on so don't register the second spin or stopping yet in those cases. I'll be back after viewing a hockey game.)
Cyclone
-
I will use numbers 2 and 12. Whatever beats Cyclone safely. :P

Cyclone is up first...

What about Cyclone's bonus spin?
I was just going to say freeze, and register a bonus spin of 17 (which was given above, too). :)
Guess I didn't need that second spin after all. :D
Cyclone
-
At least I waited to start IUFB4 before someone said that.
Cyclone, get ready for your bonus spin. Hit 5 or 15, you win $10,000. Hit the dollar, you win $25,000! Let's get some extra money!

I don't think you got a good spin on that one...

Well, you did win $1,000, and you're headed to the showcases. But first, more pricing games coming up after this!
-
We still don't have a winner, Jeff! We need one down here right now!
I'll do my best. ShatterMySoul99, come on down! You're the next contestant on RC's Price is Right!
(Come On Down) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmPSlwLVNQk)
ShatterMySoul99! Welcome to the show! Here's the next item up for bids.
It's coming down from the ceiling... these beautiful earrings!

(Jewelry Cue) (http://www.gameshowthemesongs.net/sounds/TPIR/New/jewelry.mp3)
From the Miadora collection, these 14 karat yellow gold earrings contain 1/3 carat of diamond!
Some jewelry to please the woman in your life. ShatterMySoul99, we'll start with you.

$1200, please!

Needless to say, 88JRFAN has missed his deadline. wpghi5's turn to bid.
-
For the record, 88JRFAN still has another opportunity to redeem himself. Essentially, this is his yellow card.
-
$1400.
-
$1,405, please
-
Erm...RC?
-
Erm...RC?
I second that
-
This is troubling.
Cyclone
-
I'm worried about RC. I hope he's alright.
-
Yeah, I've been up until 3 AM the last three nights studying for finals. Luckily my last final is tomorrow morning. I'll give myself a yellow card out of courtesy.
And the actual -
*BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ*
Aw, really? Those are some cheap earrings then. The lowest bid was $1,200. Bid lower than that.

Here, have an explanation.

I see an iTunes window in a lot of those panes. Music is always part of my life, too.
Granted, I always wanted listening material while studying, too.
Cyclone

I see an iTunes window in a lot of those panes. Music is always part of my life, too.
OK, OK, relax all....we have lots of college students here, so it's cool to give some lee-way here.
AND, as a college professor, this is a Prizes of a week. AND if anyone here needs tutoring in stats I, I can be had for $50 per hour.
AND, just an ad....my show will be announced in just 3 days....I can't wait....been working on it for a bit now....
-
I just submitted my final essay and am officially done for the semester! Thus I should be able to continue the show without any more distraction.
-
I just submitted my final essay and am officially done for the semester! Thus I should be able to continue the show without any more distraction.
Congratulations on finishing the semester!
BTW, the music comment was a joke. Hopefully you didn't take it as anything more serious.
Cyclone
-
To be fully honest I didn't realize it was a joke.
(I sent 88JRFAN a PM, I'll give him until the morning)
-
And 88JRFAN receives his red card. He will be replaced during the next IUFB. wpghi5, you're up.
-
1100 please.
(I am so sorry about missing and slowing down the show. I honestly forgot I was still a contestant.)
-
$1! :oldlol:
-
$689, please
-
I will accept 88JRFAN's bid on the grounds that he bid before wpghi5. You still, however, have your yellow card.
And the actual retail price is:
$700
The fourth bidder strikes again! It's 123123123!
We don't have a prize for you, I'm afraid. We have TWO prizes for you, and Jeff will tell you about them.
123123123, I'm sure you'd like a pinball machine and a jukebox!
http://
(http://www.monkeysarcades.com/v/vspfiles/assets/images/rolling%20stones%203.jpg)
First, it's the Rolling Stones pinball machine! One of the most legendary rock bands of all time, the Rolling Stones, is immortalized in this pinball machine by Stern Pinball.
Second, this retro juke box from Rowe will let you listen to all of today's hits like they were from the sixties!
123123123, you are going to be the first - aw, crap. You are going to be the SECOND to play Double Cross.
Those yellow highlighted numbers represent the prices of the two prizes. The line going top left to bottom right is for the pinball machine, and the line going bottom left to top right is for the jukebox. You can slide those yellow boxes down, if you'd like. So, for instance, you could make those prices $3,654 and $9,857. If you get the correct two prices, you win both prizes. Understand?
-
I'm pretty sure it's $5,095/$5,495.
-
Now I'm the first and second player to play Double Cross on this forum. Let me not be the first and second player to lose it. :-)
My gut was $5,095 and $5,495, so let's go with that.
-
I have to say, RCPlanes, your Pricing game designs are wickedly awesome!

Well, you've just proven that someone OTHER than the fourth bidder can win... Jeff Davis, what can he win?
I see you're a fan of NASCAR, 88JRFAN, so you should really like this NEW CAR!!!

Up on the board, there are five prices - FOUR of them are wrong. One by one, I want you to tell me the wrong prices. To make things more interesting, there are cash values behind each wrong price, which are yours unless you pick the car price. You can walk away with your cash, but if you eliminate all four wrong prices, you win the car and $10,000! Make your first selection.
-
I cannot see the prices. I don't think the image you uploaded worked

Indeed, faulty image code.

WHAT? Over already? I'm so sorry 88JRFAN.
We'll have our sixth and final pricing game coming up after this!
-
Before we continue, should you at least show us what the other cards had?
-
Dang, that was evil
-
I apologize for redundency, but where are you RC?
-
We need one more contestant, Jeff.
And that contestant is cornelius! Come on down, you're the next contestant on RC's Price is Right!]
And cornelius is gracing Contestant's Row! Jeff, let's see today's final item up for bid.
It's a pair of soccer goals!
(FIFA 96 Theme) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tn_tbeyuzyM)

cornelius, you're going to play Pick a Pair for that piano package. I really hope we can get a second winner today, and this might be the game to do it. All you have to do is pick two items with the same price. Jeff, tell him about the six items.

Aww, that's a bummer. But hey, we're going to give you another chance! You need to keep one of those and pick its pair to win that piano.
-
Let me say, that if I don't win that piano, I'll try to redeem myself at the SCSD.
That being said, Keep the salsa, and I'm gonna try with the cereal.
-
All right, please let that cereal be $3.29!!!

What was $3.29?
Cyclone

Forks & salsa were $3.29
Cheerios & chipotle rub were $3.69
Bacon & cinnamon sticks were $4.95

Well, it's time for the Showcase Showdown. We had exactly one winner today! That means 123123123, courtesy of your painfully easy Double Cross setup, will be spinning last. I am not explaining the rules, and if any of you get confused I will beat you with a pool stick.

Welcome to the Showcase round! The top winner, and I use "winner" loosely, is Cyclone!
And the runner-up is 88JRFAN!
Each of you will have a chance to bid on a fabulous showcase, and whoever is closer to the actual retail price of their showcase without going over will win their showcase. However, if you are within $250 without going over, you will win BOTH showcases! Pay attention to this first showcase, it could go to either one of you.

And this showcase, where you're headed to four beautiful locations in the four corners of the USA, can be yours if the Price is Right!
Cyclone, would you like to bid on that or pass?
-
I would love to bid, but I shouldn't be here :-)
88JRFAN won the spin-off
But I do suggest $23,500 for whoever is bidding

Yeah, this show, no. Disaster.
-
A tripcase? While the advice is there above, I always hate trying to price a tripcase, and I've been totally wrong on trips many times. I'm passing.
Cyclone
-
I will play safe and bid $20,002

(Toad Circuit) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ia3drjyqteM)
It's the 2013 Ford F-150 XL Super Cab! Comes with an eight foot box, a 5L V8 engine, 4x4 drive, electronic 6-speed automatic transmission, and dual portable DVD rear seat screens!
This showcase will get your 2013 started right, if the Price is Right!
Cyclone, what do you bid?
-
I'll suggest $30,000.
-
I say more than that: $40K
-
I've eaten at a great steakhouse called The Keg. Two people easily can spend $100 on New York Steak dinners and an appetizer, which is two courses. I'd say at $70-$90 per person (which for double the courses is a discount), something from $1,470-$1,890 seems right for that.
I've known Apple computers to be $2,000-$3,000; my mother is a teacher, and they use Macs. Also, I've seen them on the actual show and they surprise me more than a normal PC.
My Dad owns an F150 right now. Not sure how much they fluctuate, but I know they start something like $23K, and 4x4 as well as the 8 foot box jack up the price a fair bit. I'm calling it $30K-$32K.
So in total, I'll say $1,700+$2,200+$31,000 (playing it safe)...
Final bid: $35,035.
(I added $135 because I like funny bids.)

The pricing is over, and we'll have the verdict after this!

Welcome back to the conclusion of RC's Price is Right! We'll start with 88JRFAN. You bid $20,002 on those trips. Actual retail price...
$28,976
For a difference of...
We go to Cyclone. You had a very logical bid of $35,035. Actual retail price...
$41,197
And I think that should do it!

Stats in the morning, I'm tired. This will probably be my last HYO for a while, as I don't plan on getting back in line anytime soon. Hope you guys enjoyed the show, despite the fact I really sucked this time around.
God bless,
RC

Was a little more than I thought; had 88JRFAN taken the advice on a bid given for the Tripcase, that would be the winning bid. Good guess likewise of the $40K from pathfinder.

Yeah, the sexed up truck got you. You nailed the dinner party though.

I was going to go something like $33-$35K on it (the truck), but didn't want to risk going over. I have some idea of Ford prices as my father only buys Ford, so I've had exposure to those. $31,135 (as it ended up) was a safe estimate. For all I know, it probably was about $34K. :)
In fact, I might have gone for that if the other bid had been taken. I knew $20K wasn't enough for those trips. :D

Ah, the monitor was separate, and the computer by itself cost more than I thought with the monitor included.
Damn you Apple, you fooled me again.
