not bad today. you had 3 pricing games, a $1K win in a SCS, and nearly no stupid bids. Drew made some funny comments too. overall, it was great and worth watching.

ME: The motorbike stuck out as most expensive.  Unfortunately, Arthur didn't see it.

CHECKY: You couldn't ask for a better playing of this game.

LER (Cube Game): Good call taking the $4000 and running away.  Who wants a cheapo Cobalt, anyways?  :D

SD1: $1000!

CLIFFY (Yodely-guy Game): Calling the paramedics!  Rush Yodely-guy to the ER!  That was...just awful.

241 (BOGO Game): She picked the first number as her first one, even though it stuck out.  Good win.

MONEY (Dollar Sign Game): Very good win.

SCs: Grace's bid only covered the car... My bids: 32399/13500 (diffs. :dsw:/4770).  I really had no clue whatsoever on that golf cart showcase, and smelled el cheapo.  I was wrong...

OVERALL: 3/5.  Much better than yesterday's show.

I guess Arthur thought he was guaranteed to win when he contemplated that he only has one guess.  I liked how Drew reminded him he was still a winner and could spin the big wheel later, just so Arthur wouldn't feel bad.

Is it me or did some audience members boo James because he was from Boston? :-?

First we have Ezekiel Barker in Barker's Bargain Bar, now we have his relative Zebediah in Check Game.   I think the history of the show is disputed :-P

James stopped the Dob today in Check Game, a $4,000+ prize is tricky in this game but he managed to sneak a win by just $50!

Also, I liked how Drew joked about James taking a long time writing the check by pretending he was at a check-out counter.

I don't blame Jennifer for bailing out in Let 'em Roll, $4,000 is a nice chunk of change to win.

Is today's trip to Malaysia the cheapest one ever? I would expect a trip to a place that far and exotic to be near $8,000-9,000.

Is $28 a bit too much for the first prize in Cliff Hangers?

Asking for the first digit as the free one in 2 For the Price of 1 is never a good idea, especially when it's a dead giveaway. Grace surprised me when she still won; that second number was the tossup in today's playing.

I am amazed that Tommy picked 54 for his second choice in Money Game.  I was thinking he would pick 70 and 85 as his next two choices since the last number is usually a 5 or 0, another Dobstopper there.

I liked the silence that was used in the first showcase, it's a nice change of pace from the music in the background we usually hear in the skits.

The Most Expensive Game: The motorcycle was a certain choice for me. I can now understand why Arthur picked the "electrical trainer".

The Check Game: The way Drew explained the game made me think James was going to write the price of the prize on the check. But, James played the game so well that I didn't do any quick math to realize he just made it.

The Let 'em Roll Game: I don't think Jennifer wanted the car anyway. $4000 can be a down payment on a snowmobile.

The Showcase Showdown 1: Arthur's acknowledgement of his Creator and his former life made me think his $1,000 bonus and his appearance on this show is the start of a wonderful new life.

The Yodel Guy Game: I had a strange prediction that the apple pitcher would be around $36. I was scared when Victoria said only 18 for that.

The 2 for the Price of 1 Game: Grace played that game with so much confidence that I would've been nervous and might lose due to some of the audience's help.

The One Bid 6: Some of the people in the audience including myself were booing at Tommie because Kimberly did not make it on stage. Didn't matter because she and Rona were over anyway. Pity.

The Money Game: I think I would have tried using higher numbers for the last two numbers.

The Showcase Showdown 2: Oh, how rude of some of the people in the audience who booed during Grace's shout-outs when the Wheel was almost completing its full revolution!

The Showcase Bidding Game: Grace's Showcase reminds me of some of those old symphony cartoons where the conductor is disturbed by someone's rude noises. I so enjoyed that. I thought she really went low on her bid; methinks her bid may only cover the car.

Most:  Should not have been lost.

Check:  Zebediah Barker!  LOL!  Can't do too much better than $5,950 in this game.  And James even filled out the entire check!

Roll:  Between $4,000 and a base-model Cobalt, I would take the money as well.

SCSD #1:  Arthur is an ex-con?  Is that within the rules of the show?  I know that some game shows (like "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?") state that ex-cons are ineligible to compete.

Yodel Guy Game:  Guessing $18 on any second prize = auto-loss.

241:  Yay!  Half-Off cue! :P Damn, those were some uber-expensive yard tools.  I thought they were $273 initially, making the TV worth $4,195.

Money:  That was another Dobstopper Deluxe®!

SC #1:  It's the BuddyTom/LudwigMackdaddy Semi-Memorial Orchestra Showcase!  And yay--Showcase '83! :P  Cameo by the Clock Game ticks.

My showcase bids:
Car--$31,007
Random room--$15,707

Result:  That has to be an Historic Moment®.  First ex-con ever to be the big winner of the show.

Pretty good show today.

Most Expensive- No reason why this shouldn't have been won. That motorcycle really stood out to me.

Check Game- I like how he filled out the entire check!  :P Just narrowly missed going over. Very good playing by James.  :-)

Let 'Em Roll- I don't blame Jennifer at all for taking the $4,000. Nice hunk of change to take home.

Cliffy- Disappointing loss. I lost all hope for her winning right when she said the pitcher would be $18.

2 for 1- I would've picked the 2nd number as my free choice, the 1st one just looked so obvious to me. But alas, she played it very well and has that Plasma TV to show for it!

Money Game- Wow. One of the best playings I've seen this season. 54 wasn't sticking out so much to me, shows how much I know!  :D

Showcases- Nice appearance by the Clock Game tick for the metronome! I thought the showcases were easy to bid on today. Nice win by Arthur.

All around, 3 great pricing game wins. A 3.5/5 show today.

Most: Even I knew the Motor Scooter was the ME. Why on earth would Arthur choose the trainer?

Check: I think we're getting more information about Bob's ancestors.  Well, this has to be one the most victoious wins in this game. The $4K prize would always do someone in, but not James!! Very Good.

Roll: You know, even I would've took the $4K as well. Good move.

Cliff: Victoria just gave us a new segment..."Sing Along with Hans" and Hans was singing in pain after Victoria bombed on that pitcher.

2 for 1: The second number was a toss-up and I would've went with just that. Still, another good win.

Money: I had a feeling 54 would be the last two digits and I'm glad Tommy went with it. Very good.

Showcases: The 1st SC was very funny. Arthur begins his new life with a great win.

A 3.25-star show.

Today was a good episode. No stupid bids like the past few days and some good wins.

IUFB #1 - Now THAT must be some really good snowboarding equipment. Caught everybody off guard, in contestant's row AND the chat.

Most Expensive - That trainer was sticking out, but I personally went with the motorcycle.

Check Game - Amazing play! This is how you play the game! He won the prize, and a great sum of money! Best of all, he didn't break the quill pen from the 1800s! Deploy the TFW Dobstoppers!

Let Em Roll - The product guesses were EASY, even if the player doesn't watch TPiR a lot, they could easily have got all of those. Although she didn't win the car, $4000 is nothing to complain about.  :-D

SCS1 - I believe we're at $4000 for dollar spins for 2008. (Correct me if I'm wrong) Just as Fireball stated, I brought up Arthur's eligibility in the chat, but I guess TPiR allows ex-cons to participate.

Cliff Hangers/Yodel Guy Game - Ah, too bad. She must not pay too much attention to the pricing patterns for this game. WE NEED A MEDIC!

2 For the Price of 1 - I personally think this game was a gimmee. Though it would've been a tad easier had Grace taken the middle digit.

Money Game - Got interupted by a phone call so I didn't watch this. Nonetheless, it's good to FINALLY see a Money Game win. Deploying TFW Dobstoppers again!

SC - Great job by Arthur with an excellent bid! Although, again, we have mass group on the stage. I couldn't see anything during the credits. They really need to limit the people on stage.  :-P

I loved Drew's crack about waiting in line behind people paying with checks.

Yay!  Cliff Hangers was lost! :oldlol:   Seriously, I don't root for losses, but at least when they happen in Cliff Hangers, they're fun...and the game's been won too darn many times this year. :P

I wonder why Grace asked for the first digit in 2 for the Price of 1.  That seems like a good way to make the game harder than it needs to be.

The presentation of the first showcase was awesome.  Having everything go silent every time Brandi was preparing to start the "orchestra" was a fantastic idea.

Most Expensive: I knew it was #2.

Pre-PG #2: Yes I heard boos once James said he was from Boston.  :oldlol:

Check Game: Great playing by James winning by only $50. That and he wrote the entire check.

Let Em' Roll: I was quite surprised Jennifer decided to take the money. But hey she really didn't want the car anyway. $4,000 is not bad.

Cliff Hangers: When Victoria said $18 on the pitcher I knew she would be doomed.

2 For The Price Of 1: It was either $970 or $940. Grace picked $970 and won.

Money Game: Tommie definitely stopped the Dob by picking 54 as the last 2 to win the car.

Showcases: Loved that first showcase. It's a shame Grace didn't win that with a not so great bid even though she didn't went over. Arthur on the other hand bid well on his to be the big winner today.

And Money Game wins the Everlasting Dobstopper(R) of the Day.

As does CHECK GAME, it was designed for a loss, smart for the contestant to write a check for under $2000.

$2000 + $4150= $6150 OVER. Smart playing.

Footnote: Brandi Sherwood is simply awesome, she plays those skits to the hilt. She's not just a pretty face, she's a gifted actress. Note to TV execs: GIVE THIS LADY A SHOW!

PG #1-I thought for sure this was gonna be a gimme, but Arthur blew it by picking the elliptical trainer.

PG #2-That was neat someone actually wrote out the entire check; it's been quite awhile since I've seen that.  That was an impressive and close win.  Can't get much better than that!

PG #3-Smart decision to bail out with the $4000.

PG #4-OUCH, Victoria missed winning the 2nd SP by only $1.

PG #5-Grace took the hard way out by asking for the obvious 1st digit, but it didn't matter in the end.

PG #6-I had a feeling 54 was going to be the last 2 digits.

Most Expensive - I couldn't decide between the motorcycle and the elliptical trainer, but something told me it wasn't the couch.
Check Game - My check would've been for $3800. This was quite an exciting win!
Let 'em Roll - I probably would've taken the money in her situation as well.
Cliff Hangers - That was quite a cheap trip. I don't think I would pay $36 for a pitcher though.
2 For 1 - I was way out to lunch here. I was about 99% sure the last digit would be 3, so I would've taken the 2nd digit for free.
Money Game - Tough one here, as I really didn't expect 54 as the back half.
Showcases - For me, this qualifies as one of those "well, at least I didn't go over" days. Evidently I blanked on the price of the 300LX.
