What a great playoffs this was... But let's not waste any time...
Who's our CSS 2011 Season Playoff Champion?
A new player this season, that obviously came to play
(http://img541.imageshack.us/img541/6809/2ndo.png)
Another conservative player that shows yet again, consistency can yield big things
(http://img842.imageshack.us/img842/9090/3rdz.png)
Representing for the women of CSS, she did her dang thing this year
4th place goes to
Bryan
who delivered several great playings throughout the season
and finally in 5th place
TPIRSteven
who simply beasted during the season finishing first in points average in pre-playoff playins
Like last year, "we had some people who had a VERY, VERY, VERY Red Playoffs", with some players going over at 7 games or more.
Overall, it was a great competition with the flipflopping of positions throughout the days. Very very exciting, especially with STAGE PLAYER doing so well
There are a few 1st run episodes still coming up and the games will be for shigglement. But as far as the games that count, the season ends today.
I want to thank everyone, including Marc, John, BuddyTom and SideshowPA for giving me the inspiration and guidance to fulfill and take on responsibilty as my 1st year as host of CSS and second year as statistician. I thank you all for you patience and the overall great gameplay this season. It's been beyond awesome and quite an experience, and I can't wait to do it again come SEASON 40!
Congratulations to All and have a Safe and Happy Summer (or Winter depending where you are)

-
Hey, I got out of the gutter some. :P
I still have a ton to learn, but this was a good first season, I guess.
-
Congratulations Phatboi. :-)
-
Not the best way to finish the playoffs. Hey, I'll take my regular season second in cash.
Congrats to Phatboi, that was a heck of an impressive playoffs.
-
*accepts the tiny trophy* I like the academy for this wonderful award. Wait wrong show. Well I had fun. Now with the target on my back now, I can't wait for Season 40 CSS. -
Thank you Fieldsy, well done to you too.
-
Thanks guys! Fieldsy and Hag, y'all did a great job on Playoffs.
-
I'll happily take 21st place, and I think I may be the first ever British playoffs player.
-
Aww just shy of getting a pretty graphic. Great fun playing this season, glad I found this website :)
-
I made a good jump to the top 15. :-)

The fact that there are people that did worse than me boggles my mind. I guess the fact that I actually pulled off one DSW during the playoffs buoyed me a little...?
But yeah, I guess it's official that I will never win a CSS playoffs. Then again, the last three years or so have been pretty much impossible, thanks to the whole 'playing blind' thing.
-
So now that CSS is over... I guess you have to PM me your bids for the rest of the season. :P
-
Yeah, work-related issues prevented me from playing today. Congrats to the top five!
I'll take my green sixth ribbon, thank you.
-
Congrats Phatboi! Great job throughout the playoffs. Also, way to pull off a last-minute surge, Fieldsy!
And thanks Jon for a great first season of running CSS! That's a whole LOT of spreadsheets - thanks for all the hard work. This really is a fun game, and it's cool to have a record number of people playing it now.
-
The irony is that much of my regular season success can be attributed to an extremely low overbid rate, and yet it was an overbid on that evil $18K showcase last week that ended up costing me a DSW in the playoffs. Fifth place is still 3 places better than I finished in the playoffs last year, though. :-)
Congrats to Phatboi on the convincing win, and also to Hag for taking second and not overbidding at all in the playoffs!
-
15th place. Wow, did I stink up the joint.
Congrats phatboi on first place.

I don't think I can say it much better than this.
Also, I probably shouldn't have played last week...
-
oops. sorry I forgot about you, Hag

oops. sorry I forgot about you, Hag
No problem. :-)
-
Canada represent, we finished 2-3! :-D
-
Congrats to the top five! I had a good run this year, compaired to last year, but I sure did choke in the playoffs. Oh well. There's always next year.
-
Very happy to pass my crown onto another CSS newbie :P
-
Never assume someone will win just because they have 19 bonus points. :P I did similarly bad last year in the playoffs.
Poor Wolfy... going over eight times...
-
I stunk this year with I think 3 overs and missing two days.
-
Wow... Kitch... :-o
-
Yeah, I sucked. I had fun, but I sucked.
The only way I would have won was with a double exacta, and it wasn't happening. But I don't care.
Thanks for the enjoyment. Hopefully I can try this again next year.

It is with a heavy heart that I must announce today my retirement from CSS. I have been offered a new job developing software that will make it not possible to watch the show in the mornings.
I have thourghly enjoyed playing the past three years, and will miss this dearly. I would like to thank everybody for a great time, and I will continue to provide the CSS calculator linked in my siginature below.
I would like to wish everybody good luck in the upcoming seasons. It's been quite a ride, and I only wish I had discovered this sooner.

Good luck on your new job, and thanks for creating the calculator. It really came in handy. :-)
