Nice to see 3X early again. No changes to the balls though, so I guess they still just didn't care to play it more than 4 times a season when it was in semi-hibernation last year. I can't underscore how lame that is.

I would just like to underscore how brilliant Harold's playing strategy was. Keep in mind that 4 products are NOW and 2 are THEN. After guessing Now on the first two items and getting them right, he went across the board to eliminate the options for the final price, leaving the last item wide open, by process of elimination. Amazing! Too bad he couldn't snag the Showcase too. That would've been a huge haul.

Also great to see 3 Strikes again. Very unfortunate it was lost, though.

Tough 3 Strikes, although she was probably destined for failure when she guessed 3 for the ten-thousands digit for a Black Sapphire BMW.

Love to see a $1 win on Range Game and a last-pick win on Now … or Then?

Oh, what could've been...and 3 Strikes is still winless after its redesign

I knew that Any Number was going to be played today; I admire Janeth's honesty for saying she could use a new dishwasher, which she ultimately won.

He was clueless. He quite obviously didn't understand "three conjoined wedges". The unaware look on his face when he won said it all.

I agree that I don't think he had a clue about the 4 Now/2 Then rule, but it was inadvertently brilliant.

I'm probably setting myself up for an example where this did happen, but I doubt Bob would have even let Harold do that - he would have forced Harold to go directly to the pain reliever.

This should clarify that there is no rule about which products could be chosen, though I'd imagine if it catches on, a return to 3 Now/3 Then like on some 1980s playings could resurface. Also, is the $19.99 for the Theraworx a record for a single product? It's definitely something to potentially avoid in case it turns up on Grocery Game.

Quite an interesting way to "wrap up" Premiere Week. A close call on Range Game, a rather tricky One Right Price, two games that many thought would get redesigned staying their course, both car games being lost due to a significant factor of not having a good price in mind, and an African Safari that cost more than either of the cars in SC2. Our new EP generally handled this week well, though I agree that the bonus prize should have been randomly selected where it may or may not have been won.

Now....and Then was weird.  I honestly can't decide whether Harold played the way he did on purpose or genuinely had no clue what he was doing.

What in hell is going on with Any Number?  While not quite as bad as the first time, this is the second playing in a row where the contestant essentially had the game won and still managed to lose.  It doesn't help that both of them ended up winning the Showcase, either.

3 Strikes wasn't played all that well, either.  I obviously can't say that Judith would have won if her guesses had made more sense, but at least her guesses...well, would have made more sense.

Also, is the $19.99 for the Theraworx a record for a single product?

I don't remember what exactly it was, but I believe there was an item in It's in the Bag several years ago that was somewhere in the neighborhood of $29.99.

When the bonus prize was revealed, I saw these figures:
- Cell bill:  $71.34/mo ($856.08/year)
- Car payment:  $374.44/mo ($4,493.28/year)
- Rent:  $1,515.80/mo ($18,189.60/year)
- TOTAL:  $1,961.58/mo ($23,538.96/year)

Are they the averages for one person in the United States or something?

:fork: :fork: Oops. That's what I get for not actually watching the episode and just assuming there were no prices given in any, way, shape, or form for the bonus prize. Sorry about that.

I thought that Drew said for the first week, that the first contestant to win their pricing game during premier week would have rent, cell phone, and car payments for a year payed, and also get a bonus prize.  Did Harold not get another bonus prize?  What happened there?  Did the new producers run out of money for the first winner bonus prize already?

It was one of the 5 bonus prizes.

Also, as for those totals, we have no confirmation those were the numbers or just fake numbers for graphics.

The bonus prize concept was just weird and not necessary.   And more 3 Strikes please.  The more it is played, the greater chance of having at least one winner per season!

Range Game was very close - it was a quick close up shot. The Rangefinder looks more like $151 or $152 range if the lower range is stopped at $8,650! [attach=1]

Look at the screen shot when the contestant pressed the stop button. The Range Finder is in a slightly different position.

Excellent catch--they moved it down by $1 or $2 after she pressed the stop button. I wonder if they did that immediately or if they initially revealed a loss but realized she would've won had it not been for the slight delay between her pressing the stop button and the stagehand actually stopping the range finder.
