The CBS All Access streaming service will rebrand itself as "PARAMOUNT+" in early 2021. The full press release can be found at the link below.

And here's a YouTube video showing what Paramount+ intends to become...

Will we still be able to stream local CBS affiliates?

Don't know yet, but presumably everything CBS AA can do now, Paramount+ will be able to do.

...because using a + sign worked so well for Google

On the other hand, the + did pretty good for 3 Strikes for many years...

Of all the reasons Google+ failed, the + sign was not one of them .

Not a problem for Disney+. Really, the + has zero to do with anything about why Google+ didn’t work.

Paramount's parent company had a + sign from the late '60s through the '80s (Gulf + Western). And that background pic reminds me a bit of that 1968 Rising Circle logo seen on part of Season 2 of Star Trek: TOS. Speaking of the new ST: Discovery series, what are your thoughts on it and is it any good?

sigh.. Americans have zero+ sense of sarcasm.

Personally, I hate it. It's the complete antithesis of what Star Trek should be. If you liked the reboot movies (Star Trek, Into Darkness, and Beyond), you might like "Discovery". If you like classic Trek, just skip it. Skip "Picard" and "Lower Decks" too.
