Hello all!
There was a time where I used to host numerous HYO games here. In fact it was probably about all I did. Then life got in the way and I took a break from participating. Now thanks to some inspiration I've decided to dust off my emcee's handbook and give this another go. I've learned a lot since my last show and I feel the time is right for me to host a new show!
The rules are pretty much standard HYO rules:
-Standard 1hr show: 6PGs, 2 Showcase Showdowns and Showcases.
-Please make sure you read the rules before signing up to make sure you meet eligibility requirements.
-There will me no auditions or questions giving someone an edge up over others as contestant selection will literally be pulling names out of a hat.
-I will send out a PM when you have been called on down to Contestant's Row as well as one when you've won your way up on stage.
-24hrs time to respond to the game or you will be replaced. If you miss out on Contestant's Row a new name will be called to take your place. If you miss your PG, the next closest bidder will be rewarded, even if that person has gone over.
-Wheel spinning will be done using a number randomizer 1-20.
Sign ups will be closed on Sunday February 14th at approximately 10PM Eastern Time. Here's hoping for a fun return to HYO!!
-
I'll sign up, wasn't able to get on the previous two because of lots of other eager sign ups.
-
I'm in!
-
I'll be happy to join this party!
-
I'm down in playing...

I'll sign up, wasn't able to get on the previous two because of lots of other eager sign ups.
Same story here. Third time's the charm! :P
*Mails ticket request with number of tickets (1) and date wishes to attend (now), along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the proper address*
-
Certainly you can count on me to be in it Adam! :-D
-
I would love to get in line for the show
-
Count me in too 8-)
-
I need at least one more person to sign up to have enough for the show. Sign ups close tomorrow at 10PM EST!
-
You've got your ninth contestant right here.
-
Sign ups are now closed. Due to having exactly 9 people taking an interest in this, that means each and every one of you will be lucky enough to be called on down to Contestant's Row! The show will begin tomorrow morning...

Due to having exactly 9 people taking an interest in this, that means each and every one of you will be lucky enough to be called on down to Contestant's Row!
I like those odds. :P

I want you to put these clearance prices on each of those prizes so that each tag gives the corresponding prize a clearance price. Although the $900 price tag could be a clearance sale price for any of those prizes, they have to be carefully placed so that no prize has a clearance price that is higher than it's ARP. (http://i1054.photobucket.com/albums/s493/dswdatabase/PG1G_zpscztgls34.jpg)
*price drops down* *BZZZZZZ* *Classic Concentration Horns*
Aww I was afraid of that. The TV is only $2,000. I'm sorry AMGray1986. But you'll be back later on in the show to spin our Big Wheel! We'll try to get ourselves a winner right after this!...

-
I'll go with a 6, please.
-
What about 6?
*DING!* *Classic Concentration Horns*

PayingTheRent congratulations! Here are five $100 bills for your perfect bid! But, that $500 is only peanuts, peanuts I say, compared to what you have a chance to win right now!...
Announcer: It's a chance to win up to $10,000 in cash!
Me: That's right! You can win up to $10,000 playing Punch-a-Bunch!

$100
Is the right price higher or lower than $100?
-
If it was one of those fancy ones that does cassette tapes and CDs, I'd be tempted to go higher, but since it's just the record player, I'll have to say LOWER.
-
How about lower?
$130
*BZZZZZ*
No, it's higher. But that's ok, you have one punch and you can still win two more. How about that next prize?
Announcer: Introducing Super Mario Maker for the Nintendo Wii U! A fun and creative twist on the classic platforming series allows you to create and customize your own levels and even upload them for others around the world to play!

$14
Is that game higher or lower than $14?
-
Not so sure about this one...
I'll go higher?
*listens to peanut gallary chatter*
Yeah, I can't decipher what they're telling me. Thanks, audience...
Sure. Higher.
-
Higher?
$40
Yes! You've won that and you've also won three punches. Punch out three holes anywhere on the board but do not pull out the slip.
Pick a number 1-50. Numbers go horizontally 1-10, 11-20, 21-30, etc...
-
21 *punch*
30 *punch*
31 *punch*
40 *punch*
-
You only won three punches so we wont count that last one and say you were brushing up on karate :P
In the first hole I pull out this slip and discover you have won a whopping $50.
*DING!*
I assume you'll want to give this up and look in the next hole?
-
I'm pressing my luck!
Wait, wrong show? I don't care.
Next hole, please!
-
Alrighty. No sense in quitting with only $50 it's the lowest amount on the board might as well go on. We look into the next hole and see...another $50.
*DING!*
Shall we give this up and look in that final hole?
-
I've got nothing to lose. Literally. Let's go for it!
Also, no idea why I punched a fourth hole, but yeah... Just got into the moment, I suppose. :P
-
Let's go for it! Now this is your last punch so what you have here is what you'll leave the game with. And...it is...$100!
*DINGDINGDING!*

You have ten chances to give us the price of the tablet, the stereo and the car by writing them down on these pieces of paper. You will have a little help with your guesses.
Here are three numbers. Using two of these numbers, write down what you think is the price of the tablet.

Amazing! You have the tablet and you have the stereo, and you have eight chances to give me the price of that car, but lets see if you can make it three for three!
Five numbers up there, five numbers in the price of the car. Use each number once and don't repeat.
-

*The ketchup bottle is not actual size however I was unable to find one the same size. This should not affect the game's outcome*
-
Can I have a "T" please?
Oh sorry! It's still the wrong show! Lol! :oldlol:
Anyways I'll take the pizza first.
-
Let's start with the pizza. How much is it?

Announcer: Contestants not appearing on stage will receive Capresso's coffee and tea maker with coffee beans and a telephone from invention submission corporation. Now here's tpiradam with our Showcase Showdown!
Me: Thank you very much. For those of you who have kept track will know that I am standing here with three winners. Each of these three have successfully won their pricing game and will now have a chance to spin the big wheel for cash and a chance to be in the Showcase at the end of the show. JustBecause, get over there and spin that wheel!
Same as before, two numbers between 1 and 20 and the lowest number you wish to stay on. It is all randomized.
Order:
1. JustBecause
2. wpghi5
3. PatrickRox80
-
I'll start with my stopping point: $0.70 or anything above that.
As for the numbers...let's use 4 and 8
-
YES I WON! :-D Anyways I'll go for 20 and 10. I'll stop at 60. Otherwise I'll tie or beat the leader.
-
JustBecause's spin is going around and around...and landing on...
25
25 cents, and he will spin again. Hey look at this, that 75 is coming. It's going to be awfully close!...
75
*DINGDINGDINGDINGDINGDINGDINGDING!!!*
(http://i1054.photobucket.com/albums/s493/dswdatabase/1KG_zps9fvofgmx.png)
1.00! $1,000! Step right over there! You will have your bonus spin once the others have spun and look at wpghi5 he is eager to spin! Spinning before I've even finished and landing on...
1.00
*DINGDINGDINGDINGDINGDINGDINGDING!!!*
(http://i1054.photobucket.com/albums/s493/dswdatabase/1KG_zps9fvofgmx.png)
Another 1.00! Incredible! Another $1,000 bonus! Now let's see if Patrick can make it a triple 1.00!...
(Awaiting Patrick's response, 24hr time limit from this post...)
(P.S.S. In case anyone is wondering, I wrote the numbers on pieces of paper and would shuffle them all before each spin, then count down the number of pieces based on what number was given and the number on the paper was their spin.)
-
6 and 3.
Obviously, I'll only stop if I hit the dollar.
-
Alright now...that dollar is trying to get over here but it doesn't look like enough...
70
One more spin. Looking for that 30 cents now, the only thing that will help him. Ooof there it goes, you'll end up with...
70
*BZZZZZZZZZZ*
1.40. That's too much. Thank you Patrick enjoy your new car. The two of you back over here please. You each get one bonus spin. You land on that 5 or 15 you get $5,000 extra BUT if you hit that 1.00 on your bonus spin you will receive $10,000 for a total of $11,000! Make sure it goes all the way around or it doesn't count. Get to it JustBecause!
One number between 1-20
-
Yay! Now I have some money to spend on some Omaha Steaks for my BBQ :P
Let's use 9 for the bonus spin.
-
Here it comes, a little bit too fast though...
20
20 cents. We'll see if that score holds up. wpghi5, same for you. Green sections worth $5,000, 1.00 worth $10,000. Spin that wheel!...
-
20 again Adam!
-
Alright. Now there it goes, but will it have enough to get around again? I don't think so...
10
A dime. Thank you wpghi5! Enjoy your new car and $1,000. JustBecause, you are going to be in our Showcase which is coming up after this!...
-
Me: The top winner in today's showcase is JustBecause! And our runner up is AMGray1986!
Each of you will see a Showcase filled with wonderful prizes for you to bid on. The one of you who comes closer to the actual retail price without going over will win their showcase. However, if you are the winner, and are $250 or less away from the retail price of your own Showcase, you will receive BOTH Showcases! Now JustBecause, as the top winner you have the option to bid on the first showcase or pass it to AMGray1986 and wait for the other Showcase. Let us see that first Showcase!...
Announcer: This Showcase is a tribute to retired Pricing Games! For instance there was the very short lived Telephone Game...
...in which a contestant had an opportunity to win a car by dialling the correct price in the telephone booth. Nowadays if this game still existed it might be played using this new smart phone!
From Apple the iPhone 6S with 128GB of storage finished in beautiful silver this smart phone is compact enough to fit in your pocket and can handle the tasks of an ordinary computer anywhere with the use of an LTE network. Calling and data plan not included.
And now we head over to the 80s where we see a game called Add 'Em Up...
...Another car game in which the contestant had to guess the numbers in the price of the car that added up to a specific amount. This game didn't last very long and some contestants probably wish they had some help from this new laptop!
The Acer Aspire Laptop comes with 15.6" screen for dynamic viewing purposes, Intel graphics processor, 1 terabyte of hard drive space, 4GB of RAM and Windows 10. From Acer!
And finally we have perhaps one of the most unique Pricing Games ever, It's Optional...
...a game where a contestant had the opportunity to win, TWO NEW CARS!!!
It's a pair of 2016 Nissan Micra 5-door Hatchbacks! Both come with standard equipment!
And this Showcase in which we revisit some retired Pricing Games can be yours IF The Price is Right!
Me: JustBecause, do you wish to bid or pass on this Showcase?
-
I'm going to follow my gut again...and pass this showcase to AMGray1986.
-
Interesting decision! Well AMGray1986 I hope you paid attention to everything because this is your Showcase. What do you bid?
-
Interesting... Two cars that aren't sold in the United States. Have fun bidding on that! :P

Grant: If there's one thing that The Flash isn't afraid of he definitely isn't afraid of the dark. And neither will you with this flashlight kit!
Announcer: From Maglite the 193 Lumens MagCharger LED System Flashlight Kit! This rechargeable flashlight comes with battery, charging cord with stand and AV adaptor and enough battery life to help you get through the dark of night, from Maglite!

Announcer: The 2016 Cadillac ATS 2.0L Turbo Coupe! Comes with standard equipment plus Cadillac CUE & Surround Sound, Power Sunroof and Premium All-Weather Floor Mats, the Cadillac ATS!
And this Showcase all about flash, presented by Grant Gustin of DC Comics TV Show The Flash, can be yours IF The Price is Right!
Me: Thank you Grant for taking time away from your busy schedule to come here and present that Showcase. Everyone give him a hand!
*Applause and cheers*
