Post by: Futuregsh on June 13, 2006, 01:40:44 AM
styleguy has chosen the seven.

__29

Is it Seven?

529
(BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ) (LOSING HORNS)

OH NO!!!  This is TERRIBLE!  The first one out of the gate and it's not right.  The Freezer was $529.  No Freezer styleguy, no chance at a swing, and unfortunately, no chance at winning that beautiful Motorhome.  Styleguy, I am sorry things did not go well here.  BUT, you will be back to spin the big wheel.

(Main Theme)

That is really very sad.  We'll try with another pricing game and recover from this blow after these announcements...

(Truth be told, I thought the the 5 was an obvious choice for a Freezer.  I looked for an eighty-five cent item, but was unsuccessful, which is why I went with 75 cents.  However, I really did not want this to happen.  Oh well, sometimes it does I guess...)

Post by: Futuregsh on June 13, 2006, 01:48:35 AM
Well Johnny, things did not start off well unfortunately with our first game.  However, I think we can recover if we meet...

Jason Hernandez, COME ON DOWN!!! (COD Music) YOU are the next contestant on The Price is Right!!!

Welcome to contestant's row Jason.  Take your spot right there on the end.  And now, would the four of you look at the next item up for bids...

Don't worry, Future.  It happens sometimes.  Like I'd actually intended for the recent Grocery Game playing in my show to be won.  Hard to predict sometimes what some people will have trouble with.
Title: Re: FUTUREGSH PIR EP#06004- IUFB #2

I thought it was the 7 as well.  But then, I'm the guy who lost the Grocery Game playing that Frank meant to be won, so in the future, I'll give my advice when I think it's "obvious," and everyone should do exactly the opposite :-).

Hi jhc2010.  Welcome to the stage.  Well, you own an Espresso Machine.  Do you drink Espresso?

jhc2010: For the price of that, I will!!!

(Laughter from the audience)

I don't blame you there.  Now, perhaps you can use that Espresso Machine in conjunction with this prize...

A NEW SPA!!!
From QCA comes their Topaz 30 model spa.  This 8 person model comes with a 5 horsepower pump, 30 total jets including 22 Euro jets, contoured bucket seats, walk-in steps, and zone controls.  It comes in a Redwood stained cabinet with a Caribbean Blue interior.  From QCA Spas!

And see, you can drink Espressos while relaxing in that spa.  Now, you just have to decide whether you are Coming or Going.

COMING OR GOING

By the way, it's a pleasure to finally be on stage! Let's hope the losing streak ends here!!

On a side note, I must say that after you called that 3 ucb, I thought you were going to pick a 7 next and be doomed with the piggy bank.  I also thought that after you saw the zero was in the TV, that you would DEFINATELY go with a 7.  I'm glad I was wrong on that :)
Title: Re: FUTUREGSH PIR EP#06004- IUFB #6

^Actually, I had a feeling you would have the 7 in the piggy bank once I saw the 4 and the 3, Since I knew people here like doing things like that with the piggy bank (7 minus 4 equals 3), so I avoided the 7!

7 and 14. Since it is virtually impossible for me to be the first spinner (Edmojautis won less than me), I dont have to say what I would stay at.

Hey CANUKTPIRFan, I think you should know that part of the fun of these games here is to play them to the best of your abilities WITHOUT looking up the prices.  The truth is, if you are saying you looked up the prices you gave in the game PRIOR to posting your answers, regardless of the outcome, that is cheating in this group of forums.  At least it is in my book.  I think many people will agree with me on that as well.  We play these games to test ourselves, not to see who can look up the right prices and spit them out.  You don't get to do that in contestant's row, and I don't think you get to do that here.  Anyone else care to comment on this?

Well well.  We have a tie!  A nickel gives you 45 cents ALSO CANUKTPIRFan.  Step right over and stand next to edmojautis.  The two of you will have a spin off if ucb2912 doesn't beat you both...

Here goes ucb2912 with his first spin (#7)...

And in your first spin ucb...

Do we have a THREE WAY TIE?

10

OOOOHHHH, not quite.  A dime.  Spin it again ucb...

He needs at least 35 cents to stick around, but 40 cents gives him the win...

45 will do it for ya...

10

Another dime!  ucb2912, unfortunately 20 cents total will not do it for ya.  Thank you ucb2912 and enjoy your new truck.

Now, CANUKTPIRFan, you go back over there, and edmojautis, you come over here to the wheel.  One spin for each of you.  It's a spin off.

(Please submit two more numbers, in case of another tie.  They can be the same or different, as 1-20 is used each time)

Just to make sure it is clear, I need both edmojautis and CANUKTPIRFan to submit two more numbers each.  Thanks.

Yes.  I know I don't like finding out someone has tried to cheat in any of my shows.  It's happened to me before--not naming names--but it is definitely not an acceptable playing practice at all.

Quite frankly, Jade, you really should feel free to disqualify him from the showcase showdown should you desire.  I don't like to act without proof, and if I suspect something's amiss, I'd rather try to talk things out via PM, but Canuk pretty much gave the admission of guilt to ya', without seeming to even care about what he did.  No "I'm sorry I cheated," or anything like that.  Your show though, so you do as you see fit.

Thanks for your input Frank15.  I had considered that, but I don't want to do it this time around.  Don't know why, I just don't.  However, I will in the future...

And CANUKTPIRFan, it seems odd that you say you looked them up after yet your post says that the website you thought was right was where you got the prices, which indicates you did it before hand.  Something is wrong with this.  However, I will not hold a grudge.  Life is too short for that.

The top winner in the showcases today is styleguy! (applause)

And the runner-up in the showcases today is edmojautis! (applause)

Now, each of you will have a showcase of terrific prizes to bid on.  And the one of you who is closer to the actual retail price of your own showcase without going over will win it.  Of course, remember, if you are the winner, and you are $250 or less away from the retail price of your own showcase, well then we will give them both to you!

Now, after you've seen the first showcase styleguy, you may bid on it or pass it over to edmojautis and wait for showcase number 2.

Now, with that in mind, feast your eyes on Showcase #1!

This showcase contains prizes revealed as our little girls show off at the Price is Right Science Class Show and Tell.  And little Janice is the first up today, and she is beaming because to show her knowledge of science and the periodic table, she brought in GOLD, 3 one ounce bars of GOLD!
These three one ounce bars of gold are certified to be 999.9 fine.  The price was determined at the close of business on the NYSE on June 22, 2006.

But little Dian thinks she can do her one better, because even though hers is small, it's something that is very desirable.  It's this beautiful Diamond Ring!

From Kay Jewelers comes this ladies diamond ring.  It weighs 1 carat total weight and is set in 14 carat white gold with four bands artfully designed to be a treasured family heirloom.  This ring will be the perfect accent for any woman.  From Kay Jewelers- Every Kiss Begins with Kay.  Visit them online at www.kay.com.

But little Holly thinks she has the whole class beat.  Why?  Well, she brought in an ion.  No, not the small one, but the one that goes in a parking lot like her daddy's brand new SATURN ION CAR!

Power sunroof, AM/FM Radio with MP3 player capability and 6 disc CD changer, and California emission.  The Saturn Ion 3!

And this showcase, where now our little girls are now fighting over who gets shotgun in the car, can be yours if The Price is Right!

Alright styleguy, what do you think?  Bid or pass for ya?

(DING)

Alright edmojautis, that means that showcase number two is yours.  Gentlemen, please show edmojautis his showcase...

Edmojautis, your showcase contains prizes revealed as we explore people who are Copycats.  For instance, Janice copied Dian when she went out and bought the same thing Dian was listening to- This cool new I-POD.
It’s an Apple I-Pod.  This 30 gigabyte unit holds up to 7,500 songs, over 12,000 photos, or over 50 hours of video.  The I-Pod is the only player you’ll ever need whether you want to carry pictures, music, or television shows.  From Apple.

And Dian copied Holly yesterday when Dian showed up to the studio with the same one Holly had bought, this new Laptop Computer!

From Gateway comes the NX860XL laptop computer with the Intel Core Duo Processor allowing you to download things faster and maximize the speed of your laptop.  This has both a 1.66 gigahertz and 667 megahertz processor, Windows XP Media Center Edition software, 2048 megabytes of SDRam, 100 gigabyte hard drive, 17 inch display screen, DVD Writer Drive, wireless card, and more.  Learn more and buy online at www.gateway.com.

But the biggest copycat of all will be YOU.  Why?  Because instead of your fellow contestant, YOU may be driving home in a Brand New Saturn Ion!!!

It’s the same Saturn ION 3 Sedan as in the first showcase!  The Saturn ION 3 is the car designed for the family with a 32 miles per gallon EPA estimated highway rating and room for five.  Comes with standard features including automatic transmission PLUS...
Enhanced performance package with 2.4 liter Ecotec engine, Anti-Lock Brakes with traction control,

Power sunroof, AM/FM Radio with MP3 player capability and 6 disc CD changer, and California emission.  The Saturn Ion 3!

And this showcase, where you may decide to be a total COPYCAT and bid the same as your fellow contestant on YOUR showcase, can be yours if The Price is Right!

Well, well.  How about that edmojautis?  The same car could be yours.  What do you bid on your showcase?

Congratulation on the Double Showcase Win, edmojauntis.

I thought both showcases were very creative.  I laughed at the Copycats showcase, when edmojauntis was offered the same car I was in my showcase.

I thought this show was very well done, not just because I won and got into the Showcases, but because the prize descriptions were terrific and descriptive.  The graphics were great.  You got to see the prizes.  Futuregsh, just do every show like this one and you will have no problems.
