In the first post in the now-locked thread Big Doors during the games... (http://www.golden-road.net/index.php/topic,39.0/topicseen.html), the space where a username would be is completely blank.  Is there any reason or significance behind that?

I believe that user was banned. The blank space might have something to do with a forum software update at some point.

It's an account that no longer exists. If you notice, the post from that user is from 2006... longer  before we went to the current forum software.

The link to the account still works.  It looks like it belonged to Brandon Bridges, who was indeed banned years ago.

It must be a bug. If the account really was deleted, there wouldn't be a user profile, and the username would be black (or the color of regular text, regardless, it wouldn't be clickable).
