Title: TPIR75's Classic Half-hour Nighttime Episode #1 - SHOWCASE RESULTS!!!
Post by: TPIR75 on August 18, 2006, 04:50:50 PM
Ok, so im going to attempt to do my own show.  The format will be like the Dennis James Nighttime version seen from 1972 to 1977.

Johnny will be announcing and the lovely Janice and Anitra will be modeling.

I need at least 6 people to join and play and I gurantee that there will be lots of fun to be had.

When you are called down to Contestants Row, I will PM you so you know.  While in Contestants Row, if you fail to place a bid you will get a warning.  Do it 2 times, and i will be forced to remove you from the game.  While playing your pricing game, if you fail to respond within the time alotted, I will be forced to remove you.

Sign-ups start now, and will continue until Saturday August 19 at 6 P.M. (eastern time).  We will begin playing at 7 P.M. allowing enough players signed up.

You have 24 hours to place a bid in Contestants Row, and 24 hours to place a response to your Pricing game.  You also have 24 hours to place your bid in the Showcase should you be in it.

My game won't have any special graphics because, well, I have no skill in that area.  But it will still be in awesome show.

Remember to check this thread frequently for changes and to play your game, bid, etc.

See you soon!

It should be "bid in even dollars, because we round off all of our prices to the nearest dollar." You should also change the title in the very first post of the thread to indicate where we are in the game.

6 of the syrups.

The syrup is $3.24 a bottle.  How much is 6?

(Janice rings it up on the register)

$19.44

Ok.  You are now .56 cents away from $20 and $1.56 away from $21.  So you must spend at least 56 cents without going over 1.56.

What do you want to buy now?

Post by: TPIR75 on August 27, 2006, 09:52:31 PM
It's showcase time with tpiradam as the top winner, and Garvin8r as the runner-up.  Each of you will be shown a showcase filled with fabulous prizes.  The one of you who comes closest to the acutal retail price of your showcase will win it!

tpiradam, being the top winner has the choice of bidding or passing on the first showcase.  So if you're ready, here is the first showcase!!

Johnny:  Your showcase celebrates Anitra's birthday, and Janice is the first to give her a present.  Now Janice thinks that money is always a fine present.  Especially when it's $5,000 worth!  And I always believe in giving a lady something elegant for her birthday,  and you can't get more elegannt than a diamond ring!  A 2 carat three stone DIAMOND RING set in 14K white gold.  And finally, Roger, being the showoff he is, decided to give Anitra for her birthday, a new LINCOLN TOWN CAR!!  The Lincoln Town Car Signiture L series, the longest automobile in Town Car fleet, sits 6 people comfortably, and comes with these features: Power windows, power locks, front-wheel drive, DVD mapping GPS System, leather trimmed interior, paint-sealant, fabric protectant, and California emission.  And this showcase which celebrates Anitra's birthday, can be yours, if the Price is Right!

Now that was a nice showcase tpiradam.  Now do you want to bid or pass on it?

You have 24 hours to tell me you want to do.

$49000 from tpiradam.

Garvin8r, here is your showcase!!

Johnny: Garvin8r, your showcase revolves around ways to keep Janice from being bored.  And first, Anitra suggests that if Janice is bored, then she should play some "board"games!  From Endless Games a selection of board games featuring favorties like The Price is Right and The $25,000 Pyramid!  Next, Anitra suggests that she should head down "board"walk, in her new...electric vehicle!  From DaimlerChrysler, this electric vehicle can go up to 400 miles on a single charge and sits four.  Finally, Anitra tries to suggest more activites when Janice says...
Janice:  Enough!  I've decided I'm going to hop a"board"...my new CABIN CRUISER!!  It's the 2006 Bayliner 265, this 27 foot Cabin Cruiser is the unique boat is built so you can do it all: entertain, cruise and even water sports.  It comes equipped with full bathroom, galley, sleeps 4 and has room for 12 people.  And this showcase in which Janice is no longer bored, can be yours, if the Price is Right.

Garvin8r, that boat is mighty big, I hope you have something to pull it with.  Anyway, I need a bid from you on it.
