It's the finals, fellow forum fanatics. No more eliminations now, just a top 4 with a ranking to be decided. Who will take the top spot, who will miss the podium?

It's a 3rd show, so it's not totally clean, but it's a victory lap for making it this far. There's always the chance of a twist, or something coming out a little differently than expected, but you'll get a little bit of help this week.

Good luck to whoever plays this week, but especially these 4 people on their way to first place:

SPOILERS: Nothing besides what's already there for a 3rd show. At least, as far as we know.

THIS WEEK'S LINEUPS (highlight to view):
6/17/2024 (Monday- 0671L) Plinko/Flip/Line/Bonkers/Bargain/Buck
6/18/2024 (Tuesday - 0672L) 1RP/Bee/Side/A#/Bull/Balance
6/19/2024 (Wednesday - 0673L) Tags/Freeze/T2/Vend/Tempt/PaN
6/20/2024 (Thursday - 0674L) TBA
6/21/2024 (Friday - 0675L) This ain't Nonsense, this is the finals!

Not actually 100% what the last show should be, will leave blank until after tomorrow's show.
And here are the 3rd shows believed to have taped that same day (4/2/2024?):
FPG -- Friday Prediction Game / FPG 6/7/24 - RESULTS

This one ended up being really high scoring, and it's telling when I score 13/55 is enough for only 4th and barely enough to scrape through to the finals. That's Too Much wasn't skipping 2 weeks this time, Now... or Then was also really due, and with one of Plinko/Half out there as the SP/cash, it was begging to show up. More or Less was overdue and Squeeze Play on most of the cards. That left S? as the other game and that just felt right.

Because of that combo, 4 people got at least 5 games on their sheet, with FJB taking the 6/6 bonus with his selection. But even that was only good for 3rd place, Kev and Flerb both had better luck slotting their games, with Flerb nailing the entire second half. Just a bonkers game to cap off the semis, kinda hoped this scoring explosion could go into the finals. But this was a very exciting games with lots of twists and turns. Congrats to everyone who played, sometimes it plays out this way and people get lucky. But to the final 4, bravo. We've made it to the final stage of this season's games and I'm sure it'll be a doozy.

Sure it's a 3rd show, but there are still plenty of options. And it's up to you to decide what that final lineup will be. Good luck out there and I'll see you all next time for the finale.
The TALK Is Right / Re: Repeating digits in Golden Road?

They may not have to have four different numbers, but given the hit the prize budget takes when somebody wins Golden Road, it would be stupid not to.

The car may go from 1/4 to 1/3 odds, but you make up for that by ensuring no rational contestant ever sees the other digits in the car's price.

The Sep 24 1984 playing of Golden Road was the biggest pile of garbage I ever saw:

What's the point of playing Golden Road if you're going to guarantee no contestant will ever play for the car? If you don't want to have that moment, don't play Golden Road!

5 meatloafs would've won the game. It was 3 ;)
Corrected. Thanks.
I went to my second real baseball game this week in Chicago at Wrigley Field. A 20-ounce bottle of cherry Coca-Cola was about $8.20 after tax.

I could get a grilled cheese sandwich on the Amtrak train on my ride back home tomorrow with piggy bank amounts!
Thinking about the contestants landed on the piggy bank of Any Number, there are two categories I think of besides burgers: coffee and lunch specials. For instance, whenever a contestant wins something like $5.20, that's about as equivalent to a medium Brown Sugar Oat Milk Americano you sometimes ordered from Starbucks. Or when another contestant lands $8.92, that's basically how much I nearly spent on the Chicken Chow Mein and Dry Garlic Pork lunch combo I ordered from a local Chinese restaurant I go to every week. Among them, Dragon Village in Downtown Cloverdale.

Okay, now that I've said about what I would (and can) get from Any Number's piggy bank based on those two categories, it's your turn to throw out some dollars and cents and what would you get on those categories.

And no burgers, please.
