Title: The Price is Right: 123123123 style (Episode 2)
Post by: 123123123 on September 08, 2012, 10:58:02 AM
An english proverb said that all good things must come to an end, here's the exception! In an odd twist of events I am now the next to follow my own episode. So if you did not make it into the first show, don't fret.

A big difference in this episode is that it is a full hour, so I will need at least 6 9 contestants

So here are the rules again for everyone

*Sign-ups will last for 48 hours (so it will start 9/10 around 7pm)

*Contestant called down will get a message from me, but that is it

*You will have 24 hours to submit your response.

*I'm a very lenient person, so if you have not been buzzed by me in Contestant's row and no one else has bid, feel free to enter your bid. This also applies to the pricing games

*The audience is allowed, even expected to help

Also, for any of you who remember this extremely hard challenge from my first show:

Quote
*As a little challenge, anyone who can guess the three games in order automatically gets the green spot. Being the nice person I am, I will even tell you the last game is the car game

I have made it much easier, If you can tell me the last game played you will automatically be called down in the first four
(Note: this is on a first come - first serve basis, so there is no point in repeating a guess)

*Finally, enjoy yourself. It's supposed to be fun  :-)

Just to make sure everyone understands, hosts usually have to wait in line to host their next show, but 123123123 posted a script about 2 weeks ago when there was nobody in line.  So, he is up.

Cyclone

There are currently 2 shows in line after this on.  But when 123123123 submitted this show, there was nobody in line.  It is a bit unusual, but not too strange for the summer.  During the season, the line has gotten 6 or 7 deep.

Just to be sure, does this mean you will be part of the show or not? I don't want any confusion.

That was kind of a comment towards both scenarios:
- there was no one in line here
- there was no one in the show line in between

It was kind of addressed to both. :P

So meh, why not.

Be careful, you are one digit away from the piggy bank. :-(

About your idea of speeding up the game, I have read in other HYO's that some games should not be sped up because of the disadvantage it puts the player at, with Any Number being one of these.

You can go ahead and post multiple digits, but DO NOT complain to me saying you did not have a fair shake at the game.  ;)

Post by: Cyclone on September 18, 2012, 12:34:53 AM
Rather than even give S&P something to consider, I'm going to echo; I was once asked for my first four numbers on Any Number, and I went ahead with the first three I was going to pick regardless, then stated I was only doing one at a time because of the nature of each digit possibly affecting the next decision.  That very pricing game playing plus other factors led to the show being terminated.  I will suggest staying with the one at a time deal.

if the PLAYER feels comfortable with giving multiple numbers, that is fine.  but the show HOST should never request or require that a player do so.  Cyclone explained these reasons clearly.

And the price of that grill is...

DarkShockBro, come up on stage so you can win a great prize.

I just gave you a stainless steel grill, and I bet this next prize will go great with it. Here it is!

It's a stainless steel gas range!!!!!!

This range has 4 separate stovetop cookers, just like every other range. But unlike other ranges, this one cost $2,702!

To win that range you will need to win Secret X. Now all I want you to do is get tic-tac-toe using the X hidden in the center column.

First, tell me where you want your free X. Then, to earn two more, tell me the correct price of these small products.

This Razor scooter has all the ordinary features of a regular scooter, with the name Razor on it.

This box set of The Hunger Games contains all three books.

You can give me both prices at once, or one at a time. Whatever floats your boat.
Best of Luck  :-)

inorite? Also, really? A pricing game for a prize UNDER $3,000?! I feel ripped off, good sir, I really do.  :-(

*sighs* Oh well. I'll put my first X on the top left, and the next two, if I get them on the bottom right and the top right respectively.

I'll guess $55, and $32.

Unbelievable. I struggle through most of this game just to play for a cheap range?! I will hunt down your family if I do not get to the showcases...maybe.

You got the scooter right, but not the book set. So you will get one X to try and win the range.

You said the bottom right, so if it is in the middle you will win a cheap range. If it is not, you lose a cheap range. Let's see where it is.

The actual price of those curtains are...

Cyclone, come on stage where you will play a pricing game.

First of all, get cleaned up. I'd like to have a clean stage please.  :-)

Second of all, after being accused of being cheap in the last pricing game, I have to try and give one of these away pronto...

A NEW CAR!!!!

This 2012 Nissan Versa Sedan 1.6 S Sedan comes with auto dimming mirrors, aluminum alloy wheels and a rear deck lid spoiler.

Getting that car won't be easy, because you're playing Pathfinder. I can tell you that the first number is a 1.

You have to walk a path of the price of that car, and if you make a mistake here are the products you can use to get more chances.

This analog alarm clock has easy-to-read numbers

These two pillows go great with any furniture

So, tell me, do you think the second number in the price of that car is a 5, 9, 7 or 3?
Best of luck  :-)

Hmm, I was trying to save the Nano for last, but the pillows I'm not 100% sure of.  I'll just do the Nano because I know that one: $149.

(I won a one-bid of Apple products in another show.  I know my half-eaten fruit.)

To speed things up, presuming I'm right, 3 was where I was thinking of going, so with the confirm above I'll do that next.  I know that there are models LESS than that price ($13,000) available over there, whereas they're $17,000 over here (or somesuch).

I would not be surprised if on the other show you're talking about, they used a 16GB nano, this was only an 8GB.

Now there is a dilemma, if you get this wrong, we are going to have a wipeout. Choose carefully.

Here's the thing: designer pillows can be $24 each.  Proof. (http://www.zazzle.ca/new_designer_big_soft_pillows-189013396439536803)  Those ones are $69 each.

So this is a tough call.  I'm leaning towards $48, but any other opinion first?

Dammit, I got the lowest?  Well, may as well shoot for the moon here.

7 and 11.  If I reach 60, stop.  If I get a dollar, my bonus spin is 17.  I think that covers all bases.

I noticed it in a cage in the back.  I think Mike Richards was guarding it.

Cyclone
Probably. Either that, or Richards used the budget to pay 123123123 so that he could take over the show. I'd accept either one.  ;)

I'm kidding, bro. That would be hilarious though.  :-D

Y'know, I saw that coming. Oh well. Might as well make a suggestion of $44,000 for the first showcase. Fiestas are about $15,000, and I'm pretty sure the Genesis is just under $30,000. Also, as an honest question, did Mike Richards play any part in this show? I'm just curious, is all.  ;)

I was just gettin' ready to bid since I don't have over a grand of prizes (due to Mike Richards) and need a new car, but then realized it's not my bid. :P

I will stand by in case it's passed.

$40,199, 03F5man your bid is locked in. Now Cyclone here is your showcase.

***************************************************************************

I was literally seconds away from doing a variation of the first showcase, but changed it at the last second. This showcase ended up being about up in the air.

So you will take two exciting trips to Chicago and Seattle!!!

First you will spend six nights at the famed Pennisula Hotel in the heart of Chicago.

Then pack up for another six-night trip to luxiorious Seattle, where you will stay at the Four Seasons Hotel

Now since this is an "air" showcase, I might as well give you one of these,

Your very own helicopter!!!!!

This Mini-500 helicopter has a unique egg shape great for flying.

I hope you enjoyed this showcase, because it can be yours if the price is right.
