I loved how Drew said Josh had his "grammar lesson" when Josh said he misspelled "weird."  It's such a shame that he didn't win the truck, he was fun to watch and had a good time on the show.

Wow, we have our first bailout in Grand Game since June 26, 2003!  I will admit that for the average viewer, the last pick was downright hard and leaving with $1000 is better than nothing at all.

I must say the G-T asterisk-clad backdrop works well for Make Your Mark.  Furthermore, I liked how Drew called the markers the "Famous Goodson-Todman Marks."

I don't know if everyone else saw this but I could see the chase lights on Make Your Mark today for the first time this season.  Also, this is the only time this season in which a contestant gave up the $500, and also the only time in which doing that led to the contestant winning the game.

I wonder why Check Game's think music was played for Pushover today, and it sounds out of place in that game.  I hope next season, the think cues for games will not be mixed up.

Yay, Bonus Game for a car!

I thought for a second that Roger would put the bonus in the first window, since I thought that the headphones would be the hardest SP and he wanted that car lost.  Thankfully Marilyn guessed the other three correct and it made for an exciting win in the second half.  I also liked how during Bonus Game and the Showcase Showdown, Bart got some shots of Bill, who needed that new car after driving his current one for 14 years.

Wow, a Mini Cooper, the first foreign car other than a Honda appears on the daytime show!  I wonder if this means we will see other makes on the show in the future like Nissan, Toyota, and Mitsubishi to name a few.  Also, I wonder if we will see a Jaguar offered in 3 Strikes or Golden Road in the future.

A good episode, with a nice Mini Cooper at the end for the showcase.  Hopefully we will see many more foreign cars on the daytime show in the future, other than the Hondas and Minis that they've had so far.

Larry should've kept on going for the 10k, especially when the Gold Bond was one of the remaining items.  However, he did redeem himself on moving on to the showcase with a measly 50 cent total and eventually winning it.

The Mini Cooper was nice, but still only like 24k with the extras - so we were somewhat again in budget mode and I foresee some big stuff happening as the season winds down...

Pretty nice lineup to end the week with. Solid all the way around.

Grand Game: Wow, a bailout in Grandy sure don't see that often.

Bonus Game: Yay!!!! For a car too (which has happened quite a bit this season). Good to see it won. I was so afraid Roger had put the bonus beside the headphones (which were the hardest of the SP's).

Any Number: Too bad Josh didn't win the truck. But at least he won the clock. Definitely better than winning money in the piggybank.

Grand Game: It's been a while since a contestant decided to bail on a $1,000 in this game. That all changed today. Yet I would've gone on and picked the skin cream to win it all.

Make Your Mark: $3150 seemed high for luggage there. Daniel made the right move to switch the marker there to win all 3.

SCSD #1: Wow! That was some SCSD there! With 50 cents being won here.

IUFB #5: Oh Karen why did you not bid $811?!

Bonus Game: Thank goodness Marilyn got the pizza maker right as the bonus was there to earn her and her son that car.

Most Expensive: I would've picked #2. Talk about taking so much time to make a decision on which one is the most expensive.

Showcases: That Mini Cooper maybe quite small. But it sure is quite pricey by looks of it.

I really feel for Karen considering she failed to make it our of the contestant's row throughout the whole show.

Any Number: For a brief moment, I thought Josh was going to do an exacta/wipeout for the clock. At least it's not the Piggy Bank.

One Bid 2: Liked how Larry started low and the other contestants jacked up their bids, giving him the win.

Grand Game: I totally forgot about the Gold Bond. Bailing out was an option even for me. Haven't seen a bailout on this game in a long time.

Make Your Mark: I liked how the (Barker's/Carey's) [M]arkers got the new name of Goodson-Todman Markers. I'm going to call them that now. Anyways, $1000 or $3150 for the luggage... it can't be that much. I don't know how to gesture, "Give up the five!" Maybe rub my fingertips, perhaps?

Push Over: Didn't see much because my brother and nephew came over. But I did feel 5175 could work for a spa.

Bonus Game: From looking at those headphones, I said that there's no way that could be more than $150. Boy, was I fooled on this one. Liked Joe's "Super Fancy Headphones" and how it makes sense that it's more than $150. I also thought since that was a tricky one for me, that could have the Bonus on it. Boy was I lucky that it didn't. I forgot about that little trick about how sometimes the more expensive Bonus Prizes could be on the bottom.

One Bid 6: That's the third time Karen bid too high; two from successful 1 bids. "Three strikes, you're out! Off to the House! Hit the [_____] showers!"

Most Expensive: I had this thought: Since gas prices are high, maybe a replica gas pump could be high too. I wouldn't use that as a strategy; for me, it was either the dining group or the pump. Maybe I could have used that thought after all.

Any: I was thinking 16 or 18. He got the clock though.
Grandy: Looked pretty easy to me when it came down to the last 3. Surprised he bailed.
MYM: Good to see it. It became very easy at the end. Luggage would never cost 3000+
Pushy: Easy. The Dob wanted this won.
Bonus: Nice to see it again. Interesting it was played for a car.
ME: I knew it was that gas pump. I remember seeing that once before and thinking it was much more expensive than I thought.

Showcases
Trip to Sydney: $$$$$
Mini: think I had that right, just underpriced the jukebox.

I really enjoyed the show today.

First time we get to see a Mini Cooper on the daytime version.  Too bad the bid in the showcase was way too low.  Those Minis don't come cheap these days.

That's the first time I've ever seen someone bail out in Grand Game.  I don't really blame Larry, though; that setup was pretty hard for the average viewer.

Even though some of the audience might have been saying otherwise, that was a smart decision by Daniel to move the marker.  No way was that luggage going to be more than $3,000.  Congratulations to Daniel for winning one two three FOUR THREE prizes!

Yay, Bonus Game!  And for a car!  When I first saw the game, I had a hunch it was going to be for a car.  I was afraid Roger had put the bonus with the headphones.  But luckily, it was with the pizza maker, and Marilyn wins a car for her son.

Nice way to end Showcase #2 with a Mini Cooper!

Any Number: I was expecting a 0 at the end of the clock, although a 2 did seem the next logical choice.

Grand Game:  Wow!  A bailout!  I don’t know if I’ve ever seen one of those before.

Barker’s Marker$ Make Your Mark:  Glad to see a person give up the $500 and even better, he won.  The large difference between the two prizes seemed to make it obvious to switch the mark.

Pushover:  $5175 and $7590 were the only two prices that looked right   Knowing that the first prize is never the right one, I would’ve picked $5175 and won.

Bonus Game:  Good—the bonus is not by the headphones.  It seems like most of the time the bonus is by the most difficult window.

SC1: My Bid: $16,242 / Diff: $3,374
SC2: My Bid: $24,335 / Diff: $11,033

It seems like more often now than in previous seasons whenever a non-car game is played for a car, there is no regular car game.  I know two car games (one regular and one not regular) have happened this season, but it seems so unlikely it’ll happen.  Has this always been the case or something new?  I seem to remember that in previous seasons whenever a non-car game is played for a car, then there will be another car offered, this time in a regular car game.

Well, Roger sure did go to town for what might well be the last Friday show ever.  The lineup was totally nuts...Any Number first, Grand Game before it was due, Barker's Marker$ before it was due, Bonus Game for a car, and Most Expensive on the same show as Barker's Marker$.  I don't even care that I completely bombed the final FPG -- the insane lineup made it worth it.  It needs to be said one last time -- you can't stop the Dob!

You know, it seems odd how much attention Roger's getting the last few days on the show...it's almost as though they knew he was going to be fired and wanted to give him as much acknowledgement as possible.  (No, I don't think that's what happened.)

Grandy:  I fell out of my chair when Larry opted to bail out at $1,000.  I can't remember the last time somebody bailed out at $1,000.  But I have to admit that this setup was kinda hard.  I thought that box of Jelly Bellys would be more than $9.00... but after Larry picked that first, I thought he had a free run at the 10.

MYMark:  Technically, Drew was right the first time... if you count the $500 as a prize.  Yay!  They actually played (http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y54/jordanar18/banana2.gif)(http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y54/jordanar18/banana2.gif)(http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y54/jordanar18/banana2.gif) for this game!  This should've been a no-brainer switch.  There is no way on God's green earth that luggage is worth $3,150.

Pushy:  Easy.  None of the other prices were even in the ballpark.  Great Lakes spas are not that expensive.

Bonus:  For a car again this season!  I cannot believe that Roger didn't put the "BONUS" behind the headphones.  There is no way that anybody would've thought those headphones would be more than $150, and the toughest prize is always supposed to have the "BONUS" when this game is played for a car.

ME:  On the same episode as Make Your Mark?!  Conflict city!  Only the LFATs were gonna win this game today, considering that we've seen that gas pump enough times to know that it's $2,595.

SC #2:  OMG, a MINI Cooper on daytime!

My showcase bids:
Aussie--$15,507
Car--$28,507

I'm saying that next season, I don't think the show will be The Price Is Right.

So, in your opinion, what will it be?  I'm sorry to appear to be in the minority with this opinion, but the removal of one staff member does not necessarily mean the decline of the entire show.

In a very real sense, Roger represents much more than just "one staff member."

It does when it's Roger Dobkowitz.

I mean no disrespect to the rest of the staff...but Roger was in charge of pretty much everything that was vital to keeping the show running, and he and Bob were the driving forces behind keeping everything the same.  With them gone and with Syd Vinnedge taking charge, yes, it very much opens the door to drastic changes.

I really liked the bailout on Grand Game. You know what? If you aren't sure which one is correct, why risk the money? And as for Mark, when's the last time we saw anyone switch? It hadn't happened this season. Yes that was a very obvious one but as Brad Francini's site shows, people will often have obvious ones and still keep the $500

Because even a completely random 1 in 3 shot for 10 times the money ain't a bad deal for risking $1000.  I'm not saying it's wrong to quit with the $1000, but it's hardly surprising that few contestants take it, when the odds so overwhelmingly favor going on.

Any #: I would've won the car because 8 and 7 was not the numbers I went with. At least it wasn't the piggy bank this time.

Grand: Larry Bails Out!!!  :-o :-o I knew that Gold Bond cream would've been the one. I respect Larry's decision anyway.

Mark: Drew referring to them as the "Goodson-Todman Marks" is so respectful and wonderful. Good move by Daniel to switch them.

Push: $5175 looks just right. good job.

Bonus: A lot more fun when there's a car being played for and won, too. Nice.  :-)

Most: The Gas Pump replica was so obvious, but not to Karen.

Showcases: My bid would've been $25K for the Mini Cooper showcase. Nobody's perfect.

A 3.25 star show.

The final four is upon us.
