Howdy Mama Bev!!

Spelling Bee: Sweet win for a sweet gal!  I met her at a show in August.

Side By Side:  Never in doubt

Time is Money:  Ugh

Switch?:  I call “foul” on the almost $7300 pool table?  Is the cue ball pure gold?  Somebody please give me the # to the “Bunko Squad”.

10 Chances:  Ten things to say but none of them are nice.  Moving on.

Range Game for an office retreat:  See what happens when you trust yourself.

Showcases:  Both were great!

Light, Love and Life to Y’all!
35

Howdy Mama Bev!

Well, I truly enjoy the early years of TPIR.

I challenge anyone to name a game show that was more settled and polished than TPIR in 1972.

Tv was very different then, as were the contestants.

The 3 showcase idea does sound interesting but undoable unless the show went to 45 minutes like some of the soap operas ran before they expanded to 1 full hour.

Light, love and life to all!!

Price is Right Recaps! / Re: TPiR Recap - 12/4/2023

Howdy Mama Bev!!

Punch Board:  My favorite cash game!  I would have made the choice Gordon made.

Double Prices:  Easy Peezy!

Gridlock:  Too bad so sad

1 Wrong Price:  It was only 1 sensible choice and it was made for the easy win.

Check Game:  That trip to New Mexico has always been on the cheaper end.

Hole in One….or 2:  Meeh.  That was a hotter mess than a broken bottle of hot sauce.

Showcases:  Nice seeing the car won after both car games during the show were lost.

Love ,Life and Light to you all!!

Out In Left Field / Re: 2023 College Football Season
« Last post by SeaBreeze341 on December 04, 2023, 10:51:11 PM »
Apparently Florida elected officials are not happy with the decision to award Alabama (12-1) the CFP instead of Florida State (13-0) who went undefeated. They should have looked at the records in each of the conferences as well as tiebreaking procedures before making the decision.

When the expanded playoff format happens next season this should hopefully allow more conference teams to be in the national playoffs (and maybe even sending more than one team from that conference if possible).

There will definitely be more than one team from each conference heading to the playoff going forward.  For that not to happen, both the SEC and Big Ten would have to be completely awful across the board.  Even that wouldn't be enough to have one team max from a conference as epic as the Big 10 and Southeastern.

Furthermore, with the Pacific 12 being done away with (a year too late I guess), that's 4 fabulous conferences so we're probably not going to see a situation where someone goes undefeated & left out again.  They might not finish in the Top 4 but they wouldn't need to.

If you ask the proper people, they'd tell the Florida elected officials that they should have looked at the game that took place in Charlotte, and then made time to look at the other stuff.  Or looked at the 2014 B1G Championship Game
