TP: excellent win.

123: Holy crap those prizes were cheap.  Guess that's what happens when TP is won.

BARGAIN BAR: $3000 difference on Boston?!?

BAGGY: Ow.

CLIFFY: fairly easy setup.

MONEY: Exacta! I called it, too...

SCs: My bids:
 :frbs: $18900 (:gotc:)
Random Hot Tub/Trip: $17842 (OVER)

OVERALL: 3/5.

Excellent show today. Lots of fun moments and wins.

Triple Play: Whoa, wasn't expecting this again so soon. Also wasn't expecting another win so soon. I was amazed this was won considering so many contestants overprice the Mustangs. Great way to kick things off.

Eazy: Was as its name implies "eazy" today.

BBB: It's seems lately that this game is just impossible to win.

Baggy: Ooh, I thought those trash bags would be in the bag. I was wrong.

Cliffy: This game is working on a "Pappy" like winning streak. It's like Cliffy is impossible to lose now.

MG: There's a nice quick win.

Showcases: I knew as soon as Lillian bid $17,000 that it was gonna be  :gotc:

So...um...why did they wait six and a half weeks to air this thing?  It was an overall good episode, and for cripe's sake, Triple Play was won!  I really don't understand how they're making these schedule decisions.

The game lineup today was pretty cool.  I really doubt they've ever played Barker's Bargain Bar right after Eazy az 1 2 3 before unless they were separated by the Showcase Showdown.

Somebody freakin' needs to lose Cliff Hangers one of these weeks. :P

Triple Play: Whoa, wasn't expecting this again so soon.

Then you weren't paying attention to the schedule.  This was actually the game's first playing of the season; it was supposed to air on October 22.

Call me crazy, but during Money Game, before Luis picked 18, did I hear somebody in the audience yell out "EL CHEAPO!" ?

Triple Play-It's the evil Mustang convertible!  But it wasn't evil for Elva, who won 3 cars!  A rather easy playing compared to some of its other playings this season.

Eazy az 1 2 3-Good thing Junequa didn't listen to the audience, or else she would've lost.

Barker's Bargain Bar-When I first heard Rich said she was playing for 2 trips, I thought Lillian was going to play for a trip to Hawaii.  That's the 2nd game in a row the audience has been wrong.

It's In the Bag-Wow, Hope sure had alot of energy!  Too bad she couldn't win $16,000.  The 4th bag was the tougest one.

Cliffhangers-Yay, we get to see the doors closing on the prize.  Sounds like the sound person was a bit late cutting off the music for the 1st SP...guess they wanted Hans to go higher. :-P  Very good win.

Money Game-An EXACTA to end the 2nd half.

Showcases-I say the next book Stan should publish is the Priceipedia.  I'd buy it. :-)

Those prizes were selected long before Triple Play was won.  They would have still been cheap if Triple Play had been lost.

I liked Money Game, today.  Drew told Luis that it was the easiest game to play, and Luis made it look easy...
Pick #1 - FRONT
Pick #2 - BACK
You Win!  Thanks for Playing!!

Just once, I'd like to see 10 Chances or Check Game played so smoothly and won so easily!!

Also, for some reason, Luis' "fake spin" to the $1.00 hit my funny bone.  I guess it was because he was so obviously trying to be funny.  Drew's reaction was pretty good, too - "Hey!  I didn't see a thing!"

Drew's interactions with all the contestants seems to be getting better each week.  I really like some of the off-handed comments he makes. It was funny to watch him play with Hope's clapper while she was spinning the big wheel!  I somehow just can't see Bob doing that!!

Slam Dunk:  Insanely easy setup.  Even the evil Mustang was an easy choice.  The $26K choice was $3K away (instead of the usual $2K away) from the next highest price, and that was a sure signal that it would be wrong.  This game having two wins this season has to be a record.  I can't recall TP ever being won more than once in a season.

Carey's Cheap Crap:  Yay!  Half-Off cue! :P Pretty interesting hearing this cue for trips.

Baggy:  Fourth?!  The first three bags were easy, but the $5.99 could've been any of the three remaining items.

Hans Game:  I don't know why the yodeling continued after Hans stopped from the first item.

One-Bid #6:  It's been a while since we've had three contestants from the First Four still in the row at the last IUFB.  Nice use of the jib cam for that clock/table.

SC #1:  That won't even cover the boat.  :gotc:

My showcase bids:
:frbs: --$28,710
China--$14,314

Bargain Bar:  "more lower"?  Nice grammar there Drew...it finally struck me that when he introduces this game they cut a closeup of the name sign, and then pull back; is this a recent invention for this season or have they been doing that, and I just missed it?

Also did anyone noticed that after like the fourth "one bid" that Luis was laughing like "uh, are we ever going to get up there, or are we not that smart" kind of look!

Triple Play: I missed this one. Drew gave me the outome on the Showcase Showdown.

Eazy az 123: I caught the end of this one. I think I would've took a little more time between the bags and the tea set. I knew the drum set would be [3].

Barker's Bargain Bar (for Both Bon Voyages to Boston and Bermuda): I thought Bermuda would be at least $6000, so I went for that.

Get at least a sheet of paper....

It's in the Bag: I would've had the same setup and outcome here.

Cliff Hangers: What a trick. Non-rounded prices for the first two prizes and and rounded one like 50 for the last one. Didn't fool neither me nor Varun.

One Bid 6: Very interesting. I like that clock table. Kinda wish I had one. The important thing here is which of the guys could be coming up to the stage. Ah, the advantage of the last bid.

Money Game: Oooh, an Exacta! Cool!

Showcases: $1342? Kinda like that $6137 prize a while ago. (I forgot the actual amount.)

Triple Play: The Mustang is finally nailed! Great way to kick things off.

Eazy Az 1-2-3: Somewhat tricky because the prices of the tea set and bags were close to each other. In fact I would have lost because I would have put 1 on the tea set and 2 on the bags.

Bargain Bar: I cringed when Lillian picked Bermuda. When the marked-down prices are as far apart as they were today, it's probably best to choose the lower marked-down price...but then again, WHAT DO I KNOW?!?

"In the Bag": The last two bags were quite tough so I would have stopped with $4000 regardless of what I guessed for the last two bags.

Cliff Hangers: Harder then usual; the 20-30-40 strategy still would have worked but would have put Hans in serious danger!

...Hmmm, are we about to see the Ken Ober Memorial Triple Yank?

Money Game:...nope! Luis saves himself and then nails an exacta. When was the last time 95 was actually correct for the back of the car in this game?

Showcases:

 :frbs: - $27,550 (-$1,459)
China - $17,360 (OVER)

Show Rating: 4 Goodson-Todman Asterisks

Triple Play - I got tripped up on the F-150, but I had the other two right.
Eazy Az 123 - Tough setup today, but 'twas a win for me.
Barker's Bargain Bar - Wow, I never would have expected Boston to cost that much.
It's In the Bag - I would've had the trash bags in the $2.99 bag.
Cliff Hangers - Good to see we had a player today!
Money Game - An EXACTA for me as well.
Showcases - On percentage, this was probably my best CSS performance yet this season. And the Priceapedia was another of those "fun" showcases, although I somehow doubt the accuracy of some of the "facts" contained therein.

Triple: The EVIL Mustang be damned.  :-P Elva nailed that very well and her reaction after winning it all was magnificent.

Easy: So obvious (even for some "El Cheapo" stuff  :-P).

BBB: Too bad.

IITB: The $5.99 bag was KILLER. I would've took the $4K and run.

Cliff: Very well played.

Money: Front and Back. Just like that. Very good.

Showcases:  Showcase #1: :frbs:= :gotc: I also want to but the Priceopedia if it ever bacomes a real book.  :-D

A 4-star show.

Triple Play: Great playing by Elva there. I would lose it by getting the first car wrong.

Easy As 1-2-3: I actually went with the audience. We both were wrong. Great win for Junequa.

Barker's Bargain Bar: When the difference of the trip to Boston was displayed it was no doubt what the outcome would be.

It's In The Bag: I had a feeling that body wash was $5.99. Shame Hope didn't win it. She had such great energy.

Cliff Hangers: Varun played that game so well.

Money Game: Too simple.

Showcases: Boy did Lillian garfed on her showcase. Great bid by Verun to win it all today.

WOW!  Triple Play was won today, but what happened to the clangs and whoops?  They weren't sounded today, unlike after previous T.P. wins.  As far as Easy As 1-2-3 goes, those were the cheapest set of prizes that I've seen offered on this game; I could be wrong in saying they're the cheapest that's been offered in 1-2-3's history.  Even thought the prices were kinda cheap, I still would've tabbed the drums for #3, but would've been stumped by the tea set and the bags.  WOW, it's nice to see that Drew's Discount Den Bargain Bar played for two trips, but I still can't fathom a trip to Boston being THAT expensive.  That "In The Bag" playing was a bummer today; I would've hit the ol' bailout button at $4000.

Now, as for today's Cliffhangers and Money Game playings today, one word best describes them both:  AWESOME!  :-D

As far as the Showcases are concerned, Lillian garfed really badly; that boat sure wasn't cheap!  On the other showcase, that must've been one cheap trip to China, but Verun made a GRRR-eat (TM) bid and won it!  As for me, I Willy'd it...  :-(

OVERALL SHOW GRADE:  B+  (yes, I'm getting rid of my GPA system and giving out letter grades from now on...)

Wow, Triple Play was won today!  Usually, contestants would think a Mustang is super-expensive, but Elva did not think that and picked the right price.

Those were some pretty cheap prizes in Eazy Az 1 2 3; they only totaled $3,080!

I was kind of laughing at the fact Hope brought a hand clapper down with her.  It was a shame that she did not bail out when she did, she was very confident that she had the $8,000 bag right.

Cliff Hangers has a perfect win record so far this season, and I am anxious to see how Drew will react when Hans falls off the cliff.

Varun played Money Game very well and I belive we have our first slam dunk in this game for this season.

I thought the Pricepedia showcase was very entertaining.

There is a lot remarking on the Boston trip...was there not a lot of people that heard that the hotel was luxuriess...when the word "Luxury" is in the description of a trip hotel, the trip is expensive.  Whenever playing Bargain Bar, if you go with the cheapest, about 90% of the time it is a win.

Guys,

I got cursed on Triple Play's Mustang!!!!!  ARRGGHHHH!!!  How many times has their been a loss on the first car?  This was an excellent show today, with some great moments!!!  I really was "Hoping" that Hope would win BIG!  Her excitement was genuine and wonderful!  The crowds are really warming up to Drew now, and he is doing very well with contestant interactions.  Drew is really making price special to them and for them.

But does anyone know why Drew is still not calling "It's in the Bag" by its rightful title?  Is Freemantle Fremantle telling Drew to not say "It's" to save time? hahaha!   :D :D :D :D :D

I missed this show.  Could somebody tell me how the $1342 was related to the Showcase?  Such an unusual number in terms of dollars to be offered.
It's the number of floor tiles on the TPiR stage according to the "Priceopedia".

One-Bid #6:  It's been a while since we've had three contestants from the First Four still in the row at the last IUFB.

Yeah when was the last time all first three contestants headed off to the clubhouse?
