I've heard that Add-A-One and Double Your $$ + One Spin will be brought back on Rounds 1 and 2 of the main game respectively. Are they the only spaces to be brought back, or are there any more spaces?
-
Where are you hearing this?
I don't think anybody here would know for sure if they haven't announced it.
-
BuzzerBlog covered those spots (http://buzzerblog.com/2020/01/23/what-to-expect-from-press-your-luck-season-two/). I have to assume that if there wasn't a report of anything else, there might be different cash values, but I don't expect any other special spots.
-
Based on the PYL promo they released just a while ago, I saw some new whammies popping up on the board. Plus, it's a better improvement for them to shorten the $1M bonus round a bit.
-
I just hope they are consistent with airing this one this year, last year was frustrating as ABC seemingly just dumped the episodes at random wherever they found space on the schedule, and then seemingly disappeared as soon as it started.
-
Last summer it aired 8 total episodes (it's a limited series, mind you) on wednesdays at 8 and then reruns aired in additional spots. It wasn't random.
-
When it comes to Add a One , you see it in the promos ( for a quick second ) as someone is spinning. If you go to their official twitter page , the most recent tweet has a video showing it.
-
Next season, they should add 'the bank' from Whammy. They should have it set up so the contestants can try to win the bank in both the main game and during the bonus round. I might get backlash for saying that, but I think that it'd be a good idea to add a little bit of the old school to the new school, you know what I mean?
-
I was a fan of the Big Bank, but when literally hundreds of thousands of dollars are at stake in this version, even before the bonus round, I think it is too budget and game breaking to implement.
-
That's true, but still, maybe do it once or twice a season?
-
I think the bonus round and the $1,000,000 prize possibility is enough of a gimmick for this version without adding Big Bank.
-
Indeed, the high stakes bonus round can surely bring the vibe of Whammy's Big Bank into the show into a much greater level.
-
No PYL for us in the Atlanta market last night. WSB bumped it for coverage of the George Floyd death demonstrations downtown.
-
I would add the Big Bank for the main game only, since having it accumulate into the bonus round would make it so that the final rounds would make that space into an instant millionaire space. One thing I would change is that instead of answering a question, one spin on the board, half the spaces are big bank and the other half whammies. All or nothing.

Why does Elizabeth Banks not say “or” when reading the multiple choice answers? The way she says the answers just doesn’t sound right. And why don’t the possible answers appear on the screen for viewers to read?
-
I wonder why did the ABC version not use on-screen graphics, because they can easily show the answers in front of the show's logo. Even Second Chance had on-screen text!

Here's some screengrabs:

In fact, they could use the central console screen to display the answers instead of superimposing them onscreen. The fact that they don’t irks me. It’s like they were in a rush to edit the episodes.

Are y'all just going to nitpick over every single element of this show?

We're game show fans, that's what we do.

I'm less annoyed they don't have the graphics than the fact I'm more annoyed they use the exact shot from classic PYL that had the graphics.
