Happy Birthday Bob and definitely many more to come!
Now that it is his birthday in the East Coast, HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOB! To many more!
has anyone ever thought the Showcase Showdown shouldn't be strictly based on luck?

There was always an element of luck in determining who got to compete in the Showcase.  Even when the show was just 30 minutes.

Before the wheel, the top two winners went on to the Showcase.  Obviously, contestants winning their way on stage have no say in what pricing games they're going to play or the top value of the prize they're playing for. So, if all three contestants won the maximum amount of prizes they could win in their assigned pricing games - if the 1st game was worth $2000, the 2nd $6000 and the 3rd $5000, the contestant who played the first game was eliminated through no fault of his own, even though he did everything right (that is, win all the prizes he had a chance to win), because he had the bad luck to play the pricing game that awarded the lowest dollar-value amount of prizes that day.
Happy 94th birthday Bob Barker!! And of course thank you for all those great years that you hosted The Price Is Right.

I Ment to say...Dick Van Dyke autocorrect
IOne thing I wonder too is...if Tim Conway had not been under the weather...were there sketches written for the show that never made it to air....there were other obvious misses like where's Dick Van Duke for example

I never believed the patio package in Pick-a-Number would be $13K+, I thought it was $10K+

My guess for the Kia in Money game was $17,760, but it turned out not to be. Tough draw for Haley.

My bid for the Bali showcase was $24,500. I guess I didn't account for that this was for three guests, instead of one.
My bid for the Honda showcase was $30,000. I was over by $2,144.

The problem is, they do make it the right answer once (or so) a season

You Right ,  2/9/17 was the last time the "year" number was the back of the car. That was also the last Exacta to happened in this game.
I just noticed that me and AMGray both have $256. What happens if there is a tie? Just curious.

It's happened before this season. The tiebreaker is the bids for the other showcase. Since AM was about 3k more aggressive than you, he gets the cash.

If BOTH tie, well, that I have no clue.
