Al-Qaeda leader Abu Musab Al-zarqawi, the ringleader in a series of bombings, kidnappings and beheadings in Iraq, has been killed in a U.S. air strike that also took out his spiritual advisor Sheik Abdul Al-raqman.

While certainly this will not end terrorist actions in Iraq, this may signal the end of the very worst atrocities, and just in time too.
