The TALK Is Right / Re: Season 47 Schedule Time!

The Family Reunion Special sounds like they may take a cue from Barker's Truth or Consequences. Could require a box of Kleenex if they do.
How would they do that?  Have every person that comes up on stage be reunited with someone (and keep in mind that a lot of the reunions were surprise returns from active duty of military personnel stationed overseas), and then tell the three that didn't make it up, "Sorry, but your long-distant relatives are being sent back home without meeting you"?

I assume it will be more along the lines of, families (2-3 adults, presumably) who normally live quite a distance apart will be contestants together (as a "team").  Expect at least one "family reunion vacation" to be a prize.
Out In Left Field / Buzzr newbie- programming cycle question
« Last post by munnlete on August 12, 2018, 07:41:30 AM »
I just discovered Buzzr was finally available to stream for free about a week ago, so I've finally gotten my first exposure to its regular programming.

Can anyone help me better understand generally how many episodes of a particular show they have in their library? Meaning, like for Family Feud Dawson, Family Feud Combs, all the Black and White shows, Password Color, etc...typically how long before the cycle of shows starts to repeat again?

Did anyone find $0 wins on Press Your Luck extremely amusing or was it just me?

So it looks like they just went from one long speaker for each contestant to two smaller ones in order to accommodate the adjustable mic stand housing?

*Shudders* Sometimes I think being subtle is a lost art in entertainment. That's part of what made Benny Hill a successful comedian.

I kinda hope not.  Most of the magic of TattleTales was, in my opinion anyway, that most of the questions were pretty tame but were designed to draw out a story or a witty remark.  Based on what we see with the current edition of Match Game, one only has to ponder what kind of questions would be asked on a new version of TattleTales.

I COULD see a revamped Tattletales pop up eventually.

All of the current games they run are celebrity driven. I don’t see a reason they’d deviate from that formula at present.

Editing is certainly a possibility. I truthfully don't remember how often contestants would ask for bids to be repeated during my final years there.

However, they also have installed speakers behind Contestants' Row. I'm not sure which audio feeds are being sent to those speakers (it's possible that they're exclusively for audio from Drew and/or George), but if the other Contestants' Row microphones are going there, that may also help cut down on the number of repeat requests.

I've attached two pictures. The first one was taken in June 2009 and shows the type of speakers that used to be installed back there. The second one was taken in March 2013 to document the temporary step that was placed behind Contestants' Row for the first kids' episode (so the children would be able to see over the displays), but it also shows how the speakers changed.

For anyone that's been to a taping in the past few years, is contestants asking for the previous bids something that's been edited out?
