Posting this now as I have work, FPG is on, I am assuming we will get the six games from the West Coast airing; however, someone will need to post those once we find out.
33
I am happy to see Anderson on the schedule i'm probably the only few who like his hosting.

I just wish they'd show more than the same 20 episodes over and over.

The TALK Is Right / Re: Unique Pricing game lineups
« Last post by Alfonzo on February 15, 2018, 08:07:15 AM »
The Phone Home was always slotted second or third. This and Golden Road were the only two pricing games that lasted more than one season that were only played in a certain half (Super Ball!! was actually played FIFTH in its debut!)

It's also rare to see Double Prices scheduled in a slot such as 1st, 2nd, or 5th. Heck, I remember a couple of schedules with Double Prices following Golden Road!

The TALK Is Right / Re: Last playing of car games with 4 digit prices
« Last post by CaptainPrice on February 15, 2018, 02:14:34 AM »
On a related note: Does anyone know when the last time Hole in One or Spelling Bee offered a 4-digit car?

As for the other games mentioned my best guesses are Money Game started exclusively offering 5-digit cars around mid-late 1993 or early 1994. Pathfinder was I think one of the first in the original posterís post to only offer 5-digit cars. Take my word with a grain of salt because itís been too long. Around 1989-1991 is my best guess.

Out In Left Field / Re: Controversial Opinion: Richard Dawson

Iím also certain it was Jonathan Goodson who axed Combs amidst the Feudís low ratings.

Remember the episode that had the debut of Switch? It caused Temptation to appear as the 4th game. This was rare at the time before they returned to the practice of regular car games 4th in 2005.

Steve Harvey version of feud comes on 10+ times a day do they really need to add it to the Buzzr line up?

The TALK Is Right / Re: Most Played Pricing Games
« Last post by TPIRZippy on February 15, 2018, 01:12:00 AM »
I'm not sure that really had anything to do with Gallery Game -- I think Roger was just actively trying not to play Double Prices.  If you look at the calendars for 18 and 20, you'll see there's a span of nearly two years, starting in the middle of February 1990 and running through the end of 1991, where it was only played 10 times.

No cause/effect necessarily implied, but the correlation sure is striking.  No other season comes in at a single-digit number of playings.  Although the trend around the time was indeed less Double Prices.  I wonder in a parallel universe where Gallery Game was never played, would Double Prices have had the dip in playings?
