Right now, if they don't live in Cali, they arent even getting the car, but cash in lieu, so it ends up working out, but they dont say that on the show.

I think the real question is how does the show award the prizes on these types of shows? Is one person actually considered the "contestant" and they get title to all of the prizes/cash/trips/whatever? Does legal title to the prizes pass to both of the contestants as joint tenants and they fight amongst themselves? I'd really be curious to hear from somebody that was on a two-contestant special.

Maybe it's just me but when they are pairs playing and you still only win one prize I find it horrible to watch. So one person gets to keep the car and the other loses 10 years of eligibility and walks away with nothing? I understand the show has a budget, but it just screams cheap to me just for the sake of a special

I don't write them for every bill I have each month, but a lot of small business service providers (people doing work in your house for one reason or another) often will prefer a check over a credit card if asked because they pay fees to the credit card company for your transaction.
Place I get my haircuts every month does exactly this.

I definitely would have lost Danger Price. $2999 for that foosball table? That's more than the price of the first car offered on The New Price Is Right in 1972. Talk about inflation; what a reminder.

Fantastic and lucky win in Lucky $even. Bold and/or crazy choice of "9" for the fourth digit. :-)

Time I$ Møney is absolutely one of my favorite games, and IMHO, along with Rat Race it’s one of the best games to have been added to the roster in the post-Barker era.
Yes! Time Is Money! One of my favorite games (as well). Great to see so much money won during the second chance portion.

True "El Skunko"s, where nothing is won except IUFBs and SPs, are very rare.

Jan 18, 2023 saw a $12K massage chair given away in Master Key.

Jan 24, 2014 had a $10K bailout in Pay the Rent.

The most recent true, blue, undisputed, terrible, horrible, no good, very bad, definitely an "El Skunko" was Nov 10, 2010, which gave away $7,314 of prizes--$7,229 in IUFBs and $85 in Bonus Game small prizes.

January 18, 2023...though that depends on how you acknowledge winning the middle prize in Master Key.
