I called the CBS ticket booth today and asked them about the email that was sent out to e-ticket holders for June 4, 5 and 6.
According to them, they said that ALL TICKETS including ones mailed out that are considered "regular tickets" are now honored as "Stand By Tickets." (Meaning no matter if you have a regular ticket or stand by ticket it is first come first serve)
While on the phone I asked twice about people who received "regular tickets" just to make sure I was understood and they confirmed what I said in the paragraph above.
Can anyone else call the booth to double check this?

that seems weird!!! perhaps they meant all E-tickets are now stand by tickets?? not the paper ones too...
i'm just guessing
but it would be nice to have that confirmed! i'm stuck at work and cannot call right now

I just called, the guy who answered is an idiot and didnt even know what I was talking about. Its usually a girl who answers, I will call again later.

I personally cannot believe this is true. The whole idea was to guarantee a certain amount of people admittance to the show if they arrived with a non SB ticket.
There's no way this late in the game they would change it up on everybody without first posting that information on their website.
I'll be out there all next week and will find out more specifics and relay that to Sally or Marc so one of them can post that information on the site, unless someone else can confirm it first.

OMG!! I am now receiving emails from CBS that state due to a computer error, that all e-tickets, for May 29 & 31st are NOW STAND-BY! Even though they don't say standby. I think I'm gonna be sick! :-o As I have already mailed these tickets off as non-standby! Here's one of the emails:

Due to a computer error, any Price online tickets issued for the 1:15pm taping on May 29, 2007 are STAND BY TICKETS, which will be honored on a first come, first served basis, after the regular ticket holders, starting at 9:00am the day of taping.

I called CBS and spoke to someone who knew what she was talking about. ALL E-Tickets are standby, even if they dont say standby! She also said this was for all of June. Regular tickets were mailed out as normal, or are being mailed out as normal. She says they just started sending out mail ticket requests for the 6th. Not all tickets have been sent out yet, and they also sending out the letters stating that their ticket request was unable to be fufilled. I personally requested tickets via mail a couple of months ago and have not heard anything yet.

What about paper tickets that say standby? Will these still be standby or will they be honored as regular tickets?

It's my understanding that some paper tickets were also mailed as standby tickets. Thus, if they say standby, then there's a pretty good chance they'll be honored as standby.

I guess what I have is considered a 'paper ticket'. It's what they sent me after I sent a request via a Self addressed stamp envelope. My ticket has "Stand-By" stamped across the bottom in big dark letters.
