$12,000 on the wheel saved a rather lackluster show.

A different-looking Sonic that looks bigger but is much cheaper probably thanks to no options? God damn. However, that was still an acceptable TTM setup at 4th and a decent jump, especially this late in the season.

Bag was incredibly awkward with its slotting and that ugly gameplay. Then she WSD'd to top it all off. She's probably happy with her weak perfect rotation spin x2, but that was overall aggravating to watch including the luggage problem.

I've been watching muted at the internship these past couple days, but I'll have to watch Squeeze later. It sounds like Drew actually managed to convert on the opportunity as well.

So, not too bad... I will take this June if we can avoid albatrosses like the 1st the rest of the way. I'd like to see 10C & Card one more time, but this is shaping up to be an improvement over S39's ending (I still don't expect 7/4 or Back to School to go too well, regardless).

E: To below: I agree 1k wasn't dead-obvious today, but... I mean, she had the cheese of all things there at first.

TTM: If that $16,660 Sonic had been offered instead, Asher would've won it (the trim he was going for was the 1LS, to be exact). He was closer than the audience was on winning that playing, because they wanted him to go at least one more price.

ME: TVs usually aren't too expensive nowadays.

Bonus: Easy.

IITB: I'm not going to be that harsh on Daisy's wipeout, because the $1K item wasn't as obvious as it usually is (then again, we shouldn't have been surprised given her $8K bid earlier).

AN: The last time a $23,694 Mustang was offered in this PG, it was blown despite the only remaining number being the nine- not today! I think the Piggy Bank was actually worth $7.02, but I'm not sure.

Squeeze: Only easy for me.

SCSD #2: Daisy almost broke even w/ what she could've won on IITB!

Showcases: Tough loss for Daisy- I thought she had it won.

Decent show today.

Henry is the contestant of the year IMO.

This was a pretty messy show - definitely a day for that word. It started off innocently enough in the first half, with standard results in TTM, ME and Bonus. However, the second half was pretty weird. I'll start with the bad: Bag was just awfully played today, and you could tell the playing was chopped to bits and took much longer than we were shown. I really don't think Drew should allow the contestants to go over to the prizes as freely as he does. It might be minor helpful in Bag, but it's really not going to mean a thing in Any Number. I joked in chat today that tomorrow someone's going to want to look at their $10,000 to make sure it's worth $10,000 before they play their game, but we're getting to that point. But now the good: at least an Any Number win resulted - that setup was really pretty easy. Any time you have a Mustang and you have two numbers that someone might think is the 2nd digit of the Mustang show up elsewhere in the price, that actually makes it easier.

And then there was Squeeze Play, which certainly was something. I think Henry was intoxicated which just made the whole thing even weirder than it would otherwise be. I'm glad he was OK after wiping out on the turntable, and Drew managed to make the most out of the tooth joke. I particularly liked the line about the Squeeze Play sound effect. :) That tooth just kept on giving today, and at least Drew worked pretty well with him. It helped lighten up what was a fairly average show, although definitely a messy one.

Timings:
That's Too Much (5) - 2:57
Most Expensive (3.5) - 3:13
Bonus Game (5) - 5:11
It's In The Bag (6) - 5:00
Any Number (5) - 4:22
Squeeze Play (3.5) - 4:04
Total (29): 24:47

Henry is the contestant of the year IMO.

Drew's type of interaction with Henry's tooth falling out is exactly the thing the show needs more often!  That was great!

Today's show was kinda dramatic in many ways like It's in the bag was setup for a wipeout and That's too much most expensive and squeeze play were also setup for losses as well. The only winnable games today were bonus game and any number.

The only winnable games today were bonus game and any number.

(sigh)

All of the games on The Price is Right are winnable. Even Pay the Rent is winnable (unfortunately, it's a non-LFaT killer when people put the lowest item in the mailbox). That's Too Much was winnable - in fact I would have won the car. I knew Daisy lost as soon as she put the toothpaste in the first position. Squeeze Play and Most Expensive were difficult, yes, but not un-winnable. Please, learn the definition of "winnable".

Nice wins on Bonus Game & Any Number! :-)

I'm glad that Daisy won $11,000 on the Big Wheel & at the same time I'm a little bummed because of how close she was to winning $26,000.

Heartbreaking overbid for Daisy in the showcase.  Why don't they allow overbidding anyway?

Not too bad overall, IMHO.

Has anyone ever misplaced every single item in It's in the Bag? Daisy placed the second one correctly, not that it mattered.

This show really picked up from the first SCSD through to the end.

It's funny - I noticed when Marlene got called down third that this old guy in front of her was jumping up and down like a jack-in-the-box and thought for sure he would be called down today.    Sure enough - he was next to be called down and then unintentionally provided a great moment on the show.

The other two contestants called on stage in the second half were pretty wild too.   The Any Number player was a bit of a shouter and I liked her confidence after inspecting the Mustang.    The It's In The Bag player kept making the same 'woo' noise every time something excited happened.   She sounded like she belonged in a Sound Effects playing on Whose Line. :P

After a pretty boring first act (TTM and ME first is a bit bleh) I'm surprised what a good show it became.

I knew Chevy Sonics were cheap... but that's just ridiculous.

Yay!  Bonus Game!  Watch it spin...

I'm pretty sure Bag was not meant to be lost on the first product.  I don't know where Daisy shops, but I wanna go there for cheap toothpaste.

So is that Ford Mustang the first 2013 car to be offered on the show?

By the way, where the hell was that Any Number car win when we needed it two Thursdays ago?

Has anybody before Henry ever lost a tooth on the show?

Well, Daisy couldn't price worth a crap, but she was certainly a near-perfect wheel spinner!

My showcase bids:
Jet ski--$20,107
Fiat--$20,107

Pretty entertaining show today I thought. I really enjoyed how Drew both presented and played Bonus Game. Great job there, and nice win. (Classic turntable shot! Yay!  :-)  And for some reason, today I thought to myself, "That Bonus Game board is pretty tall.")

I also liked Henry's t-shirt. I'm old school myself, and he and Drew's interaction before Squeeze Play was fun to watch.

It's been a while since someone has gotten the first product placement wrong in Bag.

I'll say it (I think he earned it): Good job today Drew. He even got a joke in about the tooth at the show's end.

Well, that was an interesting show.

Bonus Game's expresso maker was there for scares. I believe contestants have pegged the cookie cutters at $40 before, so I won't call it a forced win, but it was definitely easy.

I thought for sure she was going to lose calling the 9 at the end in Any Number, thinking the cameras were $598. Glad to be wrong, of course, especially considering the rough season this game had before this.

Everything involving Henry and his errant tooth was great and helped make that Squeeze Play segment much more entertaining.

Boy, did Daisy have quite a day! First, she thinks luggage is $8,000, but then makes up for that gaff by being only $5 on the next IUFB. Then she wipes out on Bag (not entirely her fault, as that was harder than usual for a first item, though she still really stumbled her way through that game), but then her single-revolution spins net her $11,000 (good thing for her that that requires no pricing ability)... and then to cap it all off, she WSD's her showcase at the end. Insanity.

Edit: February 15, 2002: Contestant gets every single bag wrong. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wi2To2VRgA&t=3m0s)

I don't know what to make of today's show, perhaps because I watched it as it aired and not as I taped it and grow less interested at looking at the tv for each commercial I see for Everest College (I hope I'm not the only Ontarian who feels that way) but there were surely some interesting tidbits more particularily towards the end-ish

Daisy bidding $8,000 on luggage reminded me of Gisela in season 37 who bid about $5,000+ on surfboards and ended up becoming the only winner of the show that day and won both showcases but Daisy wiped out in bag and did sort of the reverse of winning both showcases so I guess the only thing in common was their outrageous bidding. I'd love to know what she was thinking. On a completely different note I have to say as unorthodox as it may be and may have seemed I liked how Drew took her over to the grocery products and have a better look at them and poll the audience that way. Didn't help her anyway but I kinda liked it, made the show seem less rushed and hurried in my opinion.

Brandi had genuine excitement and it was even better to see her win the car on Any Number

I felt like Henry was gonna be a great contestant seeing his shirt as he came on down, who knew he would actually give us one of the silliest, greatest and most genuine moments on the show and perhaps this season in general.

This season seems to be ending off on a good note. We had four cars one in one pricing game in the beginning, this seasons biggest winner in about the middle, lets see if we can finish it off with a bang

Henry was awesome!  He was an incredibly good sport about something that would have ruined the day for most people.  He even elicited one of the few truly genuine reactions I've seen from Drew, who was starting to get a little exasperated with him at the Big Wheel when he kept trying to stick his tooth back in!

Has anyone ever misplaced every single item in It's in the Bag?

They have.  I distinctly remember one extremely bad playing early in Season 29 with an old woman who wasn't even close to having anything right.

Not during the pricing portions of the show itself, but during the credits.
