Title: JM's TPIR 15: END.
Post by: Joe_Mello on June 13, 2006, 01:05:12 AM
While I harass Rachel a little more (I wish I remembered her last name) I feel like holding a Play Along.  In our last installment, Gatorman's reign of terror continued, accuring $54,000+, thrusting him into the 6-figure club.  Will one Joe continue to leech from the other Joe?  Only YOU can decide the outcome.

36 hours for all decisions, 36ish hours to sign up.  If you need to be out for an extended period of time, tell me.

Oh, snap.  We're already sniping.  The actual retail price is...$3000! (http://home.comcast.net/~blkpanther85/Next.mp3)  Madonna is the winner.

She's going to come back here and play a pricing game with me.  Madonna, I want to smother you with prizes.  Look!

A lovely dinette, fun keyboard and comfy lounge chair (http://home.comcast.net/~blkpanther85/PG1.mp3). *applause*

First, the Chesapeake 5-piece Kitchen Island Dinette is just what you would expect to find in the cottages and homes lining the Cape. The tobacco and ebony finish highlights vintage-look styling such as the graceful canted base, hardware on the center drawers, and turned legs of the stools.

Next, the Yamaha DGX505 is a piano-focused keyboard with 88 piano-style keys, wooden stand and sustain pedal. Innovative features include notation display, USB for instant computer connectivity and SmartMedia™ for storing songs and styles.

And finally, the Leap WorkLounge responds quickly to your movements to keep your comfort level high, whether you’re reading, computing, contemplating or relaxing. Back support adjusts as you need it. Features full-grain leather on a polished aluminum frame and base.

(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v644/Joe_Mello/Clearance1b.png)

Madonna, the people running this Clearance Sale are too lazy to do this themselves, so I'm enlisting you.  You need to put these sale prices on the correct products.  If you do so correctly (putting a correct sale price on each prize) you'll be handsomely compensated by winning all three prizes!  Get to it!

999 | 1000 | 1001 | 699

Well this was certainly an interesting round.  The actual retail price is...

$1,365! (http://home.comcast.net/~blkpanther85/Next.mp3)  Rob is the winner.  Silly rabbit, $999 gumball machines are for kids.

Rob, I think it's high time I give out one o' these!

A NEW TRUCK! (http://home.comcast.net/~blkpanther85/PG2.mp3) *cheers and excitement*

It's the Isuzu i-280 Extended Cab truck, for all your trucking needs.  Comes with standard features, it's the Isuzu i-280: a great vehicle worth $17,649!

Rob, the game is Let Em Roll.  You'll get one roll of our five oversized dice, and you can win two more by knowing a little bit about these items.  Chris?

*GP Cue* (http://home.comcast.net/~blkpanther85/PG2a.mp3)

Tide Detergent with Bleach Alternative features Color Safe Bleaching Action that whitens whites while helping to keep your colors bright.

Entenmanns Chocolate Fudge Cake, big enough to share with friends.  Good enough to keep to yourself, because seriously, anyone who doesn't like chocolate or cake is a Communist  8-)

And Crest Toothpaste Baking Soda & Peroxide Whitening with Tartar Protection.  Comes in a Fresh Minty flavor just in case your breath smells after eating that cake.

Let us see the price of the detergent, if you please.

(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v644/Joe_Mello/LER1.png)

It's $5.79.  Do you think the cake is higher in price or lower in price than the detergent.

It's neither.  I don't have the dimensions, but it's one to a box and weighs 18 ounces.

Even though I normally wouldn't condone this, I suggest getting out to your nearest supermarket which sells this (or similar) and look at it.

And Joe keeps sniping on the newblood.  Come on, man.

Anyway, the actual retail price is....Six!  Nine!  Six! (http://home.comcast.net/~blkpanther85/Next.mp3)  Joe wins again.

He's coming up here to play a pricing game.  Now, we're currently fresh out of cars, so you'll just have to settle with this:

A fun billiards game (http://home.comcast.net/~blkpanther85/PG3.mp3)! *applause*

PowerBall Billiards, the next great bar game, is now available for the home!  Three skill levels and outstanding graphics and sound effects create a game that is never the same twice!  Designed to appeal to your all-around pool players, with a little practice anyone can become a competitor!

And all you have to do is push these blocks until the four digits in the price of that game is in this window.  It's so easy, you could say it's a Push Over!

No, you get credit for 4595, which was the actual price of the game.  I originally had the game at 5495, but that was the wrong price.

Anyway, Madonna's spinning again....60 cents would be nice....oh, I hope it stops on 50.....

35 will tie, 40 will win, and 65 will get a thousand bucks...........this'll be close....

no 65 but.........

45  Forty-five cents!  That gives you 80 and the win!  Joe, this only appears to be a minor setback, seeing as you have $111,051 to your name.

Rob, you've finally made it back into the Showcase.  We'll start the search for an opponent right after we hear this.

~~~~~~~~
This is the first time in his daytime carreer Gatorman has neither 1) won a car, 2) win more than $10,000 (or $6,000 for that matter), 3) appear in the Showcase.
While I don't know for a fact, Rob probably now has completed the longest streak  BETWEEN Showcase appearances (9 daytime shows w/o an appearance, 11 overall).  Of course nasnut67 was in the very first Showcase and hasn't returned since. >>
Futuregsh is being generous.  Awwwwbarf ;-)
The actual retail price is....$509! (http://home.comcast.net/~blkpanther85/Next.mp3)  Generous or not, he did it.
All right Mr. Mirai (the japanese word for "future" for those who don't know)  I don't feel like taking you to your prize.  My virtual feet need a summer vacation of their own.  Instead, I think we'll be getting the prize to you, aren't we?
It's a new electric CAR (http://home.comcast.net/~blkpanther85/PG4.mp3)!  *applause and WTF's*
For families on the go, or groups of 2 or more, the GEM e4 is your alternative travel solution. Comes with standard features plus Accessory Outlet, Alpine Stereo System, Heater/Defogger, Scuff Guards, Wheel Lock, High/Low Beam Headlights, Rear Window Insert, Right Hand Mirror, Hard Doors, and Charging Cordset Kit--the Gem e4, a terrific prize worth $14,029!
$14,000 worth of vehicle and it can be yours playing Secret X.  Now, in order to win, you'll have to make a connection either across or diagonally via the Secret X that we hid RANDOMLY behind these red squares.  We'll give you an X for free, as well as the chance to win 2 more X's using these items.  Listen to Chris as he describes them.
*Oh no he didn't!!!* (http://home.comcast.net/~blkpanther85/PG4v.mp3)
These rechargeable Votive Candles add the romantic glow of realistic candlelight without any safety concerns. This convenient set includes six LED "candles," six frosted-glass holders and a plug-in charging base.
And this replica 1950's-style soda pop "vending" machine keeps up to 12 cans of your favorite beverage ice cold and right at hand for push-button dispensing. Six see-through portholes let you see what's cold and ready to roll into the bottom tray.
Each of those prizes has two prices.  Pick the right ones and you'll win the prizes and the X's.  It's as simple as that.
Ladies and gentlemen, I just made Daniel Rosen look good.
I have news from the contestant front.  Tpiradam is on vacation until the 14th.  Since I'd like to end this by the 14th, I'm going to need TWO new contestants.
All right, they'll be BRB_TheFireball and edmojautis! (http://home.comcast.net/~blkpanther85/Next.mp3)  COME ON DOWN!  You are the next contestants on The Price is Right.
Hey there, you guys.  I'll sort all you out later, but first here's the item up for bids.
It's a fun trampoline (http://home.comcast.net/~blkpanther85/IUFB5.mp3).
The Rave Sports Bongo 13-ft water trampoline is a lightweight bounce platform that inflates quickly, anchors easily and allows you to bounce for fun or comfortably lounge, in the water or on land. It comes with a stainless-steel ladder for easy access from the water.
Now, the person on the end would normally go first, but since that would give one of you last bids, we'll have BRB_TheFireball in the "yellow" spot to go first.
It's a water trampoline--a trampoline that goes on water.  I'm sure that you can use it out of water, but it's meant for water.
Anyway, the actual retail price is....$900 (http://home.comcast.net/~blkpanther85/Next.mp3)! Fireball wins!
It's been awhile since BRB climbed the stairs up to the turntable so he can win this!
A fun daysailer (http://home.comcast.net/~blkpanther85/PG5.mp3)! *applause*
The American 14.6 daysailer is designed for the beginning sailor or those seeking a large, stable sloop that offers hassle-free sailing. Package includes boat, sails, and galvanized trailer ready for a day on the water.
And....a new camera!
*applause*
This Nikon 6-megapixel camera has 3X optical zoom, 3" LCD screen, and is Wi-Fi enabled for easy wireless transfer and printing.
It's a Permutation prize package worth $6,245!
And all you have to do in order to win both those prizes is tell us the price of the camera.  You do that by using three of these six cards here.  We'll give you as many as THREE shots at the price and I do remind you that some prices have more than one combination.  So start taking shots.
Contestants not appearing on stage will recieve a collection of W.I.T.C.H. merchandise.  I'm not sure what merchandise that would be, but you should be able to figure out why I'm offering it instead of, say, merch from some other show that certain people like.  And now, here's Joe Mello with our cryptography-free Showcase Showdown!
Thanks, Chris.  Futuregsh is the first to spin here.
Looking for 80, or 85, or 90, or 95, and you ain't getting squat.  Well, you're three-show total is now $4,263.
BRB is up now.  He was the only winner this half, and may have won this Showdown....
25
Nope.  Not hard enough.
He needs 55 to tie and 60 to win, but here comes 75......
40
Awww.  Close again, but no.  However, he has $85,053 so it's not all that bad.
Futuregsh, we have a showcase to get to.
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v644/Joe_Mello/SCStart.png)
We have a rare occurance today.  Our top winner was the first person to sign up: Rob! *applause*
Our runner-up is the 2nd person to sign up: Futuregsh *applause*
Remember, $250 or less gives you both Showcases.  Rob's no stranger to that.  Now, here is Showcase #1 (http://home.comcast.net/~blkpanther85/SC1.mp3)
This Showcase features prizes relating to the word "OFF" and we start with something you can turn on and OFF (and not to throw lightswitch raves), these new lamps. *applause*
Hand-assembled from heavy, solid brass, these New Wave lamps exemplify the German reputation for well-made, high performance equipment.
Next is somewhere you can go on a day OFF, fabulous Boston!
*applause*
You and a guest will fly round-trip from Los Angeles to Boston, MA, where you'll spend 5 nights at the Ritz-Carlton Boston, Boston’s grande dame by the Public Garden.  Named to the prestigious Institutional Investor 2004 World's Best Hotels list, the hotel features an afternoon tea in The Lounge, which showcases 19th-century art and antiques.
And finally, we have something for you to take with you when you go OFF the beaten path.......a new Travel Trailer!
*applause*
From Jayco, the Jay Feather Sport. Shrink a full size travel trailer down to around 19 feet, but keep everything. Comes with a full kitchen, bathroom with tub/shower surround and plenty of sleeping for a family of up to 5.  Other features include Customer Value Package plus 17" oven, CSA Standards, Portable outside gas grill with carrying case, and Water purification system.
And this Showcase, which we hope wasn't OFF-putting, can be yours if The Price is Right.
Rob, bid or pass?
I knew he was going to pass.  Just KNEW it.  Which is why I wrote down a bid the first time I read the showcase before he even responded... $19,000.
I think that's worthy of an Oh Snap.
*ding*
$19,000 is the bid, which means Rob, this is your showcase. (http://home.comcast.net/~blkpanther85/SC2.mp3)
Rob, your Showcase begins with this fabulous living room!
Wrap yourself in feather-soft comfort with Blendown back pillows, set cushions and toss pillows in this 6-piece living room. Experience comfort as never before! The soft cotton twill fabric tailors beautifully and creates a statement of style for any room in your home.
And under that living room, beautiful, durable Legato carpet lets you achieve the look and feel of professionally installed wall-to-wall carpeting, and is quick and easy for you to install yourself. The 50 sq. yds. of panels interlock wall-to-wall over most hard floor surfaces for a smooth, clean fit.
And then to put in your living room, a new floor clock.
*applause*
The smooth side-to-side rhythm of this unique Tempo floor clock will add fun and contemporary appeal to any room. An aluminum frame is supported on a round weighted base. The undulating motion of the clock is controlled by an electomgnetic drive in the case, which pulls the weighted pendulum from side to side.
And that clock can tell you exactly when you can dazzle your friends with this new player piano!
*applause*
From Ragtime West, an actual 5' grand piano circa 1920 rebuilt to withstand the constant use for which you intend it. Interfaces with all MIDI acoustic products as well as a synthesizer. No appreciable lag time like other MIDI grands due to pneumatic rather than solenoid acuation!
And this showcase can be yours if The Price is Right.
Rob, we need your bid now.
Well, the showcase you doubled on was pretty random.  Perhaps you did it again.
With that in mind, I will start with futuregsh.  He had a bid of $19,000.  And the actual retail price of your Showcase is....
$20,490, for a difference of...
*ding* Fourteen-ninety.  That's an awesome bid, but is it awesome enough?  We'll just have to find out.
Well, Mr. Mirai.  You've just avoided becoming the lowest scorer ever by winning our show's Millionth Dollar in 13 daytime episodes and end up winning a grand total of
