Things of note:
8811K is the "First Responders Special". That's going to be fun. Airdate TBD though. (Tape date is a typo)
8551K is the "Family Reunion Special" and airs on Christmas Eve. That sounds like fun.
Otherwise, everything else looks normal.
Season begins September 17, 2018.
-
Based on previous seasons:
November 26 should be the Cyber Monday episode.
December 31 should be the Best of 2018 episode.
The 2019 NCAA tournament ( the 1st round games ) starts on March 21. I wonder why there's only 1 episode the week of March 11 ( last year's tourney started on the 15th ) Could be a scheduling error on their (the show's) part.
-
Tape dates for kids week are really, really weird.
-
So, do they add in Big Money and Dream Car Week later?
-
I am very pleased to see them do kids week again.
-
Kids Week was great last season. Looking forward to that.
Also looking forward to seeing what they come up with for Halloween.
-
I can't help but notice that April Fools and the 9,000th episode aren't listed here.

Season 46's were also all over the place

It probably is a mistake, especially as the schedule also has shows on Thursday 3/21 and Friday 3/22, which is when CBS is airing first round games in the Pacific time zone slot; usually, the episodes are scheduled to air on those days at 3 PM Pacific, and also usually end up being joined in progress because the basketball coverage ran long.
I also notice that they don't differentiate between the pre-emption days and the repeat days. I assume that the only scheduled pre-emption will be Thanksgiving Day.
-
I see by the OCA Website , they making the season premiere ( I'm assuming this because the other show being taped that day is for Oct. 19 ) an Emmy celebration with formal attire.
-
Did not see a Super Bowl special listed for this year. This is CBS' turn to carry "The Biggest Game in the History of Western Civilization" this year so this is a surprise.

Monday 9/17 is Emmy night this year - NBC airs them on Monday so as not to conflict with its Sunday Night Football coverage.
Also, apparently they haven't decided when Dream Car and Big Money Weeks are. Is it possible that they won't be announced until the tickets are gone so people won't rush to demand tickets for those specific weeks?

They did a special for the Superbowl the last time CBS had it because it was Superbowl 50, I don't recall if they did a real special for the game before Superbowl 47.

The 9,000th show isn't until June 7. There's plenty of time between then and now for them to change something.

The Family Reunion Special sounds like they may take a cue from Barker's Truth or Consequences. Could require a box of Kleenex if they do.

How would they do that? Have every person that comes up on stage be reunited with someone (and keep in mind that a lot of the reunions were surprise returns from active duty of military personnel stationed overseas), and then tell the three that didn't make it up, "Sorry, but your long-distant relatives are being sent back home without meeting you"?
I assume it will be more along the lines of, families (2-3 adults, presumably) who normally live quite a distance apart will be contestants together (as a "team"). Expect at least one "family reunion vacation" to be a prize.
-
They had a family reunion Christmas Week episode in season 45. It was just family members playing - notably, a grandmother and two granddaughters who won Triple Play.
-
Does Drew's 2000th episode as host air this coming season?
-
Does Drew's 2000th episode as host air this coming season?
Drew's 2,000th show happened back on February 13, so no.
-
How would they do that?
They already screen test contestants around the country, so it wouldn't difficult to find a family or two with a serviceman serving overseas, stick 'em behind the Big Doors at the right moment, and have them model a car. If Ellen can pull it off, so can Price.

And then none of those particular families get onstage. What then, hm?
-
Why would it be necessary for them to win their way on stage? Being reunited with a family member they probably haven't seen in over at year or two seems like prize enough.
Get your nose outta the air.

I do not disagree with the latter sentence, but you said to have the serviceman "model a car", which is generally not offered for One-Bids. To have a reunion where the serviceman is modeling a car for a pricing game and their family is still in Contestant's Row would seem rather awkward to me, and I would instead have the serviceman model the One-Bid prize immediately after their family is called down.

The man who gave Bob Barker his big break used to do surprise reunions all the time. I'd say Price isn't Ellen, Ellen can straight up rig who she wants to call up for whatever at her show because whatever game they're going to play isn't important and only serves as a framing device. Price is a game show. I think the idea of maybe choosing a family or two and springing a surprise on them either if they made it on stage or, if they didn't, before SCSD2 could be plausible though.
That said, I agree that, more than likely, by "Family Reunion" they mean they'll have two or more generations represented in pairs, trios or more.
Went to the first taping of Season 47 a couple of weeks ago (as well as the 3rd and 5th) and it was pretty fun. Standard shows, but each one has a little surprise that I and my friends weren't expecting. I'd say the only real changes to the show are that the square in back of the center audience section has changed to blue with a yellow border around a dollar sign and a new pull apart for the IUFB reveal. It looks like a cut out of the hexagons on homebase with three layers of colors (yellow, green and blue?) surrounding a dollar sign.
-
Based on OCA , the Monday show for kids week will be based around preschoolers ( 4-5 years old )
-
The show's website has officially posted the rundown for Kids Week ( preschool , elementary , middle school , high school , college kids )

Why 09/27 Episode not Aired?
-
Why 09/27 Episode not Aired?
It wasn't aired because of the Kavanaugh hearings
-
Why 09/27 Episode not Aired?
Due to the pre-emption because of the Kavanaugh Hearings, my thinking is that the 9/27 TPIR episode will more than likely be re-scheduled for sometime during the week of November 27th-30th since that week has only one episode on November 26th, which is their Cyber Monday show (most likely the 27th of November).
-
Why 09/27 Episode not Aired?
Bonkers77 appears to be from Europe, so maybe a more detailed explanation is in order than what's been given so far.
A nominee for the Supreme Court has been accused of sexual assault. Thursday morning, he and his accuser testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee. The testimony lasted all day and was covered on all the major networks, pre-empting basically everything in daytime that day.

As much as I'd like you to be right, I can't imagine what would possess you to think that. The current regime has never moved a pre-empted episode to the week after Thanksgiving.
-
Bump - the 12/5 and 12/6 episodes, pre-empted by George H.W. Bush funeral proceedings, will air on 6/24 and 6/25
-
So what are the big events yet to come?
Kids week, Dream Car week, the 9,000th episode (hopefully)... what else?
-
Would enjoy seeing a Throwback Thursday show this year. (Unless I missed it)

The only time they did that was during U Decide week two seasons ago, along with the Decades Week to start season 44.

8653k aired 06/28
8553k aired 07/17

calendar update!
8653k aired 06/28
8553k aired 07/17
8653k was the 2/27 episode pre-empted by the Michael Cohen testimony
I am assuming 8553k was supposed to air 12/28 but got bumped by the First Responders Special
-
185 episode for this season
06/20 is 9.000th episode aired
is correct?
-
No, neither of those is right. The season contains 190 episodes, and June 7 is the 9,000th show.
-
LMAD calendar is avaible? thanks
P.S. - I don't want open a new topic for on question, thanks moderators ;)
-
The problem is that although LMAD and TPIR are sister shows, unless it's something along the lines of Mashup week, LMAD is irrelevant to TPIR's taping schedule. Thus, if I were to ask a question like that, I would have done it in the Out of Left Field section, like how a while ago we talked about the WoF finale.
Last Friday was essentially the season finale for LMAD, but there are a couple of rescheduled shows to be aired over the summer. Here's a link to the CBS page: https://www.cbs.com/shows/lets_make_a_deal/airdates/67178/?nm (https://www.cbs.com/shows/lets_make_a_deal/airdates/67178/?nm)
