This was a really fun show, and it's a shame that this was part of a themed week, otherwise it would certainly hit the airwaves again as a repeat during the Summer.

I was hoping to see "exacta" on the recap for Lucky 7.

This was the first time I can recall this happening ... although I can picture it happening once or twice in the deep past when Bob Barker was host. If it did indeed happen ... it was a LLLLLOOOONNNNGGGG time ago.

Only gripe is that Golden Road wasn't played this week. Maybe next week.

The only real gripe I had with the episode was 3 Strikes. Looks like we were headed for a win, and we didn’t need to worry about the contestant cheating.

Just a fantastic episode all around. Good LORD, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a perfect Lucky 7 before. Two dollar spinners, five cars.

don't many of the gimmick weeks get rerun during the summer?

Good show today , with the highlight being the perfect playing of L7.
A few records were tied or broken with today's show. We had the most ever won in a playing in bargain game's history.
We also tied the record for the most non-car games played in one show ( 4 )

Lucky $even was definitely set up to be won, but who would've saw a perfect playing coming? Just an incredible job by Stephanie.

Bargain Game was a bit tricky with the Versa having the lower bargain price, so great job by Jeffrey to not fall into the trap of picking that one.

Another gimmick in Plinko, another time barely anything is won. The downer of the day.

Very easy Vend-o-Price, the risotto had twice the quantity yet was only .70 cents less than the hamburgers.

3 Strikes comes back for the first time in a while. Looks like the solution to avoiding contestants seeing inside the hopper is to have them look away as they pull. So wanted Anthony to win, he was on his way there until getting the 2 strikes in a row.

They do! Usually Dream Car Week and Big Money Week get replayed at some point during the summer.

I don’t think there’s every been a Lucky $even exacta before, but I DO seem to remember reading and/or hearing that, prior to today, the best playing of Lucky $even had the contestant losing only $1 during the course of the game (then of course paid $1 for the car and took home $5).  It might have even been Bob who said that; obviously not written in stone.  Perhaps someone will confirm.

I searched around YouTube earlier and did see a clip from the 80s, I think: the first number was 1. Contestant guessed 6 for the next two, and they were correct. Then I believe guessed 5 and it was another 6. And for the last number he guessed 5 on the nose.

2014's Dream Car Week had a total of $1 lost, maybe this playing?

I merely suggested the possibility that a Lucky Seven exacta happened in the deep past. Indeed, if it happened, it came on a show during the pre VCR-era 1970s and has never been rerun (i.e., due to the presence of a certain animal-based prize) or seen recently on TV, and we've all forgotten about it.

Also remember this has been played on the Dennis James nighttime show and -- from the ones that I've heard from j-shea's collection -- there were some impressive wins, though the best playing I heard (on those tapes) had a contestant ending with $4 left.

I will agree it seems that being off by only $1 (or possibly $2) was the best playing I've heard about. Despite the contestant making it a cinch today -- and admittedly, it was a fairly easy playing even though the stars did align for her perfectly -- this is not that easy of a game to win, I've found.

I heard only the TV from the other room, but once she had all $7 left heading down the stretch, I was afraid she was going to make a Cliff Clavin-type blunder ... but she kept her head and she deserved to win. Good job by her!

If there has been another perfect playing of Lucky 7, it was back in the days of 4 digits, and the 1970s. But I'm thinking this may actually be the first time.

Plinko kinda took the wind outta my sails. Would have preferred a souped up Pass the Buck or Gas Money instead.

One thing I would have liked to see: at least one 6-digit car. Is this the first Dream Car week where all of the cars were under $100,000?

Of course, they have an excuse; look at all of the cars they tried to give away, especially on Friday.

Holy monkeys was Lucky Seven awesome. It was clearly set up to be won, but not quite like that.

I loved Drew's stunned reaction, it was genuine and it's not common to see him shocked like that. But this was one time where I would have loved to see them linger a little bit more on the winner and let the moment sink in rather than immediately throw to "Who's our next contestant George?".

One thing I would have liked to see: at least one 6-digit car. Is this the first Dream Car week where all of the cars were under $100,000?

Of course, they have an excuse; look at all of the cars they tried to give away, especially on Friday.

That's a trade off I'd be happy to make, I think it's much more exciting to do an occasional all-car show with 3 or 4 reasonable setups, than to offer a six-digit car that's set up so it has barely any chance of being won.

While L7 was nice, I'm sad for 3X, which has fallen into a serious losing streak with little luck. And that's one of the few things I'm really watching the show for nowadays, too.

But this was one time where I would have loved to see them linger a little bit more on the winner and let the moment sink in rather than immediately throw to "Who's our next contestant George?".

You should watch the moment again then. Because Drew says "wow" a couple times, then "give me that money", then "I don't think I've ever seen that", then "that was crazy", then "uh, congratulations, wow!", then "well, show's over folks!", then he hands her the winner license plate, and it's still another 6 or more seconds before he throws to George for the next contestant.

I met Jeffrey in line. We started talking about the show and started telling him about the tricks to some of the games. He tells me that if he gets up on stage he was going to look at me. I was like, "No, no, no! Please don't!" Of course he gets called down and plays Bargain Game for two cars. He's looking at the audience for advice. There was a camera blocking his view of me, so he leans back and makes eye contact with me. I shrug my shoulders and point to the Chevy. I knew the Versa was relatively cheap and the Chevy was loaded with options, so my gut was telling me the Chevy. He picked the Chevy, and thank goodness he did! When he got to the contestant area in the audience he waved to me and we both started freaking out! So happy he gets to drive away with two cars!

Lucky $even was astounding! I still can't believe I got to see that in person! They cut for a break to remove the truck from the stage afterwards, and after Drew was re-introduced to the crowd, he mentioned that he was fairly certain that was the first time that had ever happened!

They still hide 3 Strikes behind the blue curtain, but the top of the board was peeking out over it, giving away that it was about to be played. After it was over a crew member had to get a ladder and unscrew the top of the prop, which folded down behind the board, before being taken away through the big doors.

Also, Plinkoman got to see Plinko played in person! Yay for me!

99% sure this was the first L7 exacta in history.  Too bad Drew doesn't know how to hype up an historic moment.
Glad to see 3 Strikes this week.
They should have put the $26K Jeep in Plinko and the $18k Hyundai in the too-easy Vend-o-Price.  The Hyundai wasn't exciting enough to change Plinko for, though i didn't mind the car here due to the theme of the week.
