Title: CSS Results for June 2
Post by: BuddyTom on June 02, 2009, 03:04:28 PM
I seem to have forgotten how to price showcases. Of course, with all these trips that are completely off the wall, that's not all that surprising... and I'm not alone either. Close calls abound, a blown DSW, but also two DSWs that count. dh027 with the win and mikebev25 as the runner-up. Seven people posted differences of under $1,000 (that count) for the first showcase and one for the second. Flerbert419 obviously wins the "Dirty" showcase.

...and beaten me today. :D

Oh well...at least I didn't go OVER! That's always helpful going into the Playoffs! :-D

I'm also surprised that there were no $1 differences today on SC1... that ARP was just screaming for one. :D

Kinda bummed I wasn't able to cash today, but any time you can get a DSW, you have to be happy. That SC was screaming for DSWs, though, with a difference of -01.

I originally had 17,325 on 1 (would have been a pretty painful overbid), but then I decided to shave exactly 1K from it. Thought about going even lower, but decided to go 16,325, and look where it got me.

SC2 reeked of cheap to me, so I just used one of the bids I always use when I smell cheap: 16,125 (15,625 is the other). 1 seemed slightly better, so I bid $200 more on that. The difference in price between the two was a little higher than I thought, however.

Nonetheless, a nice start to the week. Always easier to be aggressive later when you earn double points early in a week.

Well, my reign as king of the WSDs is still intact...

If I had just added $100 more to my bid on SC1, I would have DSWd. Oh well.

I knew SC1 was going to be cheap, and I nearly dropped my bid down to the $13K range in hope of a Fireball Special.  I'm glad I didn't...

As for SC2, I saw $17K or $18K easily, but I'm not sure how that got up close to $21K.  Either the dirt bikes were $3K+ each, or those random trips were $$$$.

But I'll gladly take the points today and extend my no-OVER streak to 14 games in an effort to snag 2nd place in points average before the playoffs.

15509 / 23309 ... Random attachments to trips, on reconsideration, probably added very little. Grr.

WOOT!  I lucked out big time today!  I shaved $600 from what I was going to bid on SC1.  I am so glad I did.

$17,200/$24,300... the Hawaii heartbreaker is rendered meaningless because of the evil second showcase. This seems like it would be a no chance day, but apparently a ton of you scored.
