Hey guys, it's time for my second HYO.
I will be doing a CSS again this time around, with the winner getting an automatic first-four in episode #3.
As pathfinder20 won my CSS in Episode 1, he will get an automatic first-four if he signs up.
In this episode, I will be playing 2 retired games. Whoever can tell me what these games are will also become a first-four in episode #3.
Tie-breaking procedure is as follows:
If only one is the most anyone got right, and there's a tie, whoever tells me the game that was retired later is a contestant.
Otherwise, the earlier person will get credit.
Times are 24 hours, I will PM you when you get called down, after that it's your responsibility.
Signups will continue until Sunday night at 11 PM Eastern.
Best of luck to everyone who wishes to participate.

I'll guess $uper $aver and Trader Bob. I'm in!
-
I'm in, with Buy or Sell and Balance Game '80.
-
I'm definitely in on this one! I will skip the CSS and guess that the retired games you'll be playing will be Give Or Keep and Superball.
-
I'm in. And I guess Penny Ante and Trader Bob!
-
I'm in and the retired games are Superball and Time Is Money. Where is the CSS? (chatroom showcase showoff) I would say Superball and On The Spot but that would be 2 SP games, you are not doing that are you.
-
CSS is the next subforum down. :P
-
My version of CSS takes place at the end of my show.
See my pilot thread for more info.
-
How then would I participate in the css if I happen to be a contestant in this particular episode? I guess I'd win it if my bid was closest to the ARP without going over over all the other participants.?
-
I will sign in: I will guess at Super Ball and Gallery Game
-
put me in
-
I am in
Retired games: It's Optional and Penny Ante
-
I'm in...and I'll say Super Saver and Penny Ante for the retired games
-
I'll play... and I'll go with Penny Ante and Walk of Fame.
-
I'll play. I want "Hurdles" and "It's Optional".
-
Signups are open for about 24 more hours.
pricefan1991
-
5 more hours for people to sign up.

Signups are now closed, and thanks to all who signed up.

Second, the 2009 Honda Fit Sport with Navigation comes with Standard Equipment, Body Side Moulding, All-Season Floor Mats, Manual Transmission Sport Pedals and Manual Transmission Leather Shift Knob.

2 MORE NEW CARS! First, the 2009 Mazda3 i SV 4-Door comes with Standard Equipment, All-Weather Floor Mats, Cargo Net, Compass/Auto-Dim Mirror with HomeLink, Fog Lights, and In-Dash 6-Disc CD Changer. That's right, you can win FOUR NEW CARS!!!
All you have to do is be knowledgeable in quantom physics. Just kidding, all you have to know is how to play poker. You see, in the poker game, you pick 2 of the cars and we make a poker hand out of the prices of the cars. You want a better hand for yourself than what you leave for the house.
What 2 cars would you like to pick? They can be any two of the four.
-
I'm just going to pick at random and say the Honda Fit Sport and the Mazda3 i SV 4-Door.
-
The price of the Honda Fit is $18,599 and the price of the Mazda3 is $16,625. This leaves you with a poker hand of:
9 9 6 6 8
That's an alright hand, 2 pair. Do you wish to keep this hand for yourself or give it to the house and take the hand comprised of the other 2 car prices?
-
I'll give it to the house. :-?
-
You choose to give your hand to the house.
9 9 6 6 8
What's the price of the Aveo5? $12,149

Full House beats 2 pair, so you win all those cars! DING DING DING DING DING

And we are back.
TRIPS CARS

I knew it! In the history of me playing one of these HYO's that was the worst bid I've ever made in my life! I don't know what I was thinking bidding on that price!
-
My first thought upon seeing that was
'Oh no, did he think it was an actual Porsche and not just a die-cast version'
I then looked and felt that it was accurately described as die-cast and felt no clarification was required.
pricefan1991
-
I thought it was the actual Porsche as well, hence my ridiculous bid for CSS
-
Those napkins done me in on the "Grocery Game". I thought they were much less. Shame on me. I'll do better next time.
-
No doubt I thought it was the actual Porsche. I never thought it was actually a toy! Just to clarify the Ford Focus and the Volvo were the real thing is that right?
-
The others were real.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Winner's totals:
wpghi5: $62,868
Kitch: $27,510
nowhammies11: $9890
Brent115: $1062
Rlotpir1972: $821
sjd93: $522
88JRFAN: $0
catfan2002: $0
pathfinder20: $0
CSS results:
For the first time ever (I don't think this has ever happened on an actual CSS playing), EVERYONE WENT OVER!
catfan2002 went over on both, pathfinder20 did what no one else did and stayed under on the price of the cars, but went over by a lot on the trips. These aren't the sexed-up trips from the show. Stagey and Samhodkin must have thought the Porsche was real and went over by a landslide

If more detailed pricing is requested, I will post that info as needed.

Wow, I was closer than I thought. I thought of bidding $1, but decided to make a game of it. xD
Don't garf the cash, huh? :oldlol:

Wipeouts sure have happened in CSS before. They're just extremely rare. :D
(And, for the record...I wouldn't have gone OVER on either SC. In fact, I thought we had a DOB on stage.)

Case in point: March 24, 2009 (http://www.golden-road.net/index.php/topic,10799.0.html).

The others were real.
Ok.

Really? I thought I was being conservative on my showcase.

You had a good price for this PO, it looks that there's no clarification, and you might have to think from it. It was required while taking up this showcase.
