Title: Pricing Game Acrostic Game
Post by: CBach88 on June 03, 2007, 02:31:19 PM
I came up with an idea today. It's called Pricing Game Acronyms.

Here's an example using Cliffhangers
Clock Game
Line 'em Up
It's In the Bag
Freeze Frame
Fortune Hunter
Hi-Lo
Any Number
Now...and Then
Golden Road
Easy As 1-2-3
Range Game
Squeeze Play

All I did was I spelled the name of the game vertically and I did an vertical acronym making each letter the name of a pricing game. Try it for yourself. It's kind of fun!

That lineup happened on May 5th, 2006, which was also the last day before the upgrade to the new website (and also the last day with the old chatroom).

This is just so much fun, I think I'll do another. Oh and everyone attempting these, please make it the FIRST letter of the pricing game, not the sixth or the twelfth or the third, but THE FIRST!!!

Here we go again...

Professor Price
Any Number
Telephone Game
Hurdles
Fortune Hunter
It's Optional
Now...or Then
Double Digits
Easy As 1-2-3
Race Game

Definitely give this a rating.

I'm a word game buff, and I do have to say one thing.

These aren't acronyms. They're acrostics.

Acronyms are abbreviations, like NASA or IBM. If you wanted to call the game HIOOT, it'd be an acronym for Hole In One Or Two.

Acrostics are lists or poems where the first letter of every line spells out something else. In extremely sophisticated ones, there can be other hidden messages formed by the last letters of the words too. This is common in puzzle books.
