Post by: holein1isawesome on June 18, 2013, 06:51:38 PM
I'm gonna do another show, but this will be a half-hour show.

The two top winners will advance to the showcases.
If there's someone who can help me with pictures of graphics, please do so, otherwise it will just be only fancy text work.

Sign ups begin now and end this time Thursday..

Regardless, the game -- $600, sir.

BUZZ. That's strike 1 for AMGray1986.

And the actual retail price of the stereo is...

(http://i1351.photobucket.com/albums/p789/jacobr1020/price1_zpsa754bda2.png) (http://s1351.photobucket.com/user/jacobr1020/media/price1_zpsa754bda2.png.html)

OneBidTris, come on up!

(Walking 2007)

(cheers and applause)

Welcome, OneBidTris. Now, if memory serves me right, you were on my first show and won a car right? Do we have a car for him, Rich?

Rich Fields: Yes, we do! It's a new Ford Explorer! (MG/HS Hour Theme) (cheers and applause)

(http://i1351.photobucket.com/albums/p789/jacobr1020/car_zps535bf521.jpg) (http://s1351.photobucket.com/user/jacobr1020/media/car_zps535bf521.jpg.html)

It's the new 2014 Ford Explorer XLT. Comes with standard equipment including 18" aluminum wheels, reverse sensing system, SYNCH with MyFord, and a 3.5 V6 FWD! The Ford Explorer!

OneBidTris, you are going to play One Away.

(http://i1351.photobucket.com/albums/p789/jacobr1020/set_zps0268734c.jpg) (http://s1351.photobucket.com/user/jacobr1020/media/set_zps0268734c.jpg.html)

Now, the price of the car is NOT $22,385. Each number is one away from the right price. Get the right numbers, and you win!

What are your choices?

Made a mistake. Controller's wrong price is $130.

If the wrong price is $130, and the actual price is $99, "lower", therefore, is correct.

(Though I really want to know where you found an Xbox 360 controller for $99...I've never seen them for more than $40.)

I have no idea what is happening in this show right now.  The last I see, you made a mistake with a price.  Does he have 2 chips?  3 chips?  Given that the show was off for 10 days, a summary reminder is probably in order.

Here we go:

Before the hiatus, he had 3 chips, which I inadvertently said to be 2. At that time, I was under a LOT of stress with work and family and that. Everything's okay now.

I'll send silverice another PM.

What I was referring to by "overstepping" was that AMGray1986 had not bid within the 24-hour window from when 123123123 made his bid. I was not sure whether you would have been against that.

No, I am reasonably certain that his turn expired after 24 hours, which in turn was followed by my bid.

As a fellow play-along host, I would like to point out how infuriating it is to see a game go this slowly.  Since Bob restarted your show a week ago, you've had a grand total of three responses from your players.  I understand you have been distracted, but once you restart your show, you should be ready to go.

Going forward, you need to make sure you do everything you can to make sure your players know what's going on.  Checking silverice's profile, he has not been on the site in two weeks, and I doubt AMGray even knew the show was back up.  Sending frequent PMs and posting time limits in the thread, as I do as needed, will help.

Also, taking this long to do a show (particularly a half-hour show) is beyond unfair to the other people who are waiting to host.

Well, what do you know? It's 123123123!

(Walking 2007)

(cheers and applause)

Hello, 123123123. You got into Contestant's Row and got right back out! How are you doing?

123123123: Good.

That's good. Now, I have some GREAT prizes for you. Look!

Rich Fields: First, a new ATV!

(http://i1351.photobucket.com/albums/p789/jacobr1020/1_zps5e1bb749.jpg) (http://s1351.photobucket.com/user/jacobr1020/media/1_zps5e1bb749.jpg.html)

A charming dinette!

(http://i1351.photobucket.com/albums/p789/jacobr1020/2_zps6eae07da.jpg) (http://s1351.photobucket.com/user/jacobr1020/media/2_zps6eae07da.jpg.html)

And a new upright piano!

(http://i1351.photobucket.com/albums/p789/jacobr1020/3_zps5412a2b5.jpg) (http://s1351.photobucket.com/user/jacobr1020/media/3_zps5412a2b5.jpg.html)

Now, I'm sorry to say that we don't have plugs for these three products. 444dd, our graphics manager and prize picture manager, accidentally forgot to send them.

Now, you are going to play Most Expensive for those three prizes. All you have to do is pick the one that is the most expensive and you win all three! Which one is it? The ATV, dinette, or piano?
Title: Re: Holein1isawesome's Show #3 - 1/2 Hour - IUFB3
Post by: 123123123 on July 18, 2013, 08:18:00 PM
I'm positive it is the ATV.

Or maybe it's the piano, since they can be quite expensive.

But it doesn't look like one of those baby grand ones, so I think it's the ATV.

But I've completely neglected the dinette, they are usually really cheap or super pricey.

That one does look nice, but all the prizes look nice.

Now that I think about it, most pianos cost more than ATV's and dinette sets.

But that goes back to my previous point about it not being a fancy piano, so I've narrowed it down to the first two.

The ATV doesn't seem to have too many features.

But it was my gut pick, so I don't want to lose because I second-guessed myself.

However, the more I think about it, the more I think it's the dinette.

Great, now the piano's creeping back into my mind.  :-?

I'll going to go with the dinette, and please don't ask me if I'm sure.  :-)

I hope so.

What's the price of the ATV?

(http://i1351.photobucket.com/albums/p789/jacobr1020/ATVprice_zpsa0c73a83.png) (http://s1351.photobucket.com/user/jacobr1020/media/ATVprice_zpsa0c73a83.png.html)

UH OH!

(Loud groaning)

I think you should have gone with your gut, but maybe you can still win. The piano?

(http://i1351.photobucket.com/albums/p789/jacobr1020/Painoprice_zpsdb7dd929.png) (http://s1351.photobucket.com/user/jacobr1020/media/Painoprice_zpsdb7dd929.png.html)

Well, you were wrong about the piano. If the dinette is more than $4,999, you win all three! Is it?

(http://i1351.photobucket.com/albums/p789/jacobr1020/dinetprice_zps403e97bc.png) (http://s1351.photobucket.com/user/jacobr1020/media/dinetprice_zps403e97bc.png.html)

NO!!!!!

(Buzzer)

(Losing horns)

We are SKUNKED! A winless show!

Why, oh, why didn't you go with your gut? BUT, you are going to be in the showcases with silverrice878, so maybe you can redeem yourself. The showcases are up next.

By the way, does anyone know where silverrice878 is? He was last active on the 4th. I don't want anymore delays. Is there someone that might be able to replace him?
