The show should do an episode to give the fans a look of what happens in between pricing games, big wheel and the showcase.

CBS would never give up commercial time. They'd lose way too much money from advertisers. There have been behind the scenes videos posted to YouTube and priceisright.com in the past and it's quite likely they will in the future.
-
That will never happen unless an advertiser sponsors the entire hour. That alone is a rarity, it's only happened on very few occasions and mostly on special prime time movie presentations.
-
To accomplish the stated goal, a secondary documentary crew would be necessary and it would be an episode unto itself. It would be cool through, to see a full episode produced from planning to editing with commentary. I don’t think it would all fit into the commercial breaks, more like a 2 hour documentary. .

Good idea? Yes.
Possible? Yes.
Probable? No.

It's only "possible" in the sense that if there's breaking news, there could be a Special Report that pre-empts all the commercials.

They already did a BTS webcast a few years back, when they did a simulcast between the network and YouTube. Granted, it's not available on YouTube any more.

Advertisers sponsoring a whole show happened frequently in the 1950s. Today, it is very rare. It won’t happen, especially for a daytime game show.

It would have been "possible" in the Barker era. But with the editing required now that the show is less live-to-tape, you're looking at least a 90-minute special.
I haven't made it to a Drew taping in years, but I imagine he is just as unencumbered by the time clock as he was several years ago.
