Any Number: Awww. Sad Admittedly, I was kind of taken aback by Susan's revelation, but I wanted her to WIN -- she deserved it! Is this the first time someone has gotten the piggy bank in primetime? Ouch...
I've been wondering for awhile why they don't make the piggy bank into dollars during the MDSs. So $5.31 would become $531. Not a great consolation prize but it's something.
Maybe if they made the piggy bank worth whole dollars, it'd be a bit easier to avoid the numbers in it given that the three digit prize would presumably be worth more than the bank's contents and they don't want to give the contestants that kind of advantage.
OT: I'm pretty sure no one has ever confirmed they can't play Hole in One in primetime. Again, primetime actually has a little more time than daytime, and if they can play It's in the Bag or 3 Strikes, they can manage Hole in One.
Why was Lucky $even played again tonight? We just saw it on the first special. I mean, I can understand playing Plinko again since it's the most recognizable game on the show, but, I think it was too soon to do Lucky $even again. ...
and the million-winning showcase was really low - making it much easier to win the million.
Given all 6 games were lost, there was only $20K from the One Bids given away tonight to the other 5 contestants. Everything else won last night went to Michael.
I understand that due to timing constraints, Hole in One can't be played (:(), but, why can't we get other car games in primetime like Temptation, Stack the Deck, More or Less, Let 'em Roll, Line 'em Up, etc...; something a bit more fresh? If Hole is One is out because of time constraints, I'm fairly confident Temptation would be out, too. That's one of the longest games!
Bob Barker never did when he hosted, and Drew, now becomes the only person to give away, $1 Million, 3 times in a season, on the first "Power Of Ten", and 2 $1 Million wins in the three $1 Million shows so far.
Eh, I knew Plinko would have to be a million dollar game, I just couldn't figure out how they would do it.
Actually, Temptation has been played two times in the recent years of primetime specials. All the more reason to consider Hole in One not out of contention (at least, not for reasons of time).
Now lets get to what I really want to talk about.... The GOLDEN PLINKO CHIP. ...
Guys, please remember that these shows are being run out of order. So far, we've seen the first, fourth, and fifth MDSs. So no, Lucky $even hasn't appeared "three times in a row."Except that, except for the 5 or 6 of the membership of this board who would have that knowledge, no one else would know that they were being aired out of order, which makes the point a bit moot.
Except that, except for the 5 or 6 of the membership of this board who would have that knowledge, no one else would know that they were being aired out of order...
Which also means you missed my point. While you can say that Lucky Seven hasn't been played 3 times in a row, no one watching the shows on CBS would know that. To everyone else, they have played Lucky Seven 3 times in a row.
My point is that if CBS really wanted variety in the games shown, they wouldn't have messed with the order the shows were taped in.
Ooooh, a Jeep Wrangler Limited! I do believe this is the first time one of those has been offered on this show.
Which, again, is exactly why I'm explaining it. I don't see what's so hard for you to understand about this.I fully understand it. But complaining about other people commenting on it (the 3 in-a-row aired Lucky Seven playings) isn't relevant. You know that when the shows were taped, in order, from MDS 1 to MDS 6, that Lucky Seven wasn't played 3 times in a row. However, CBS didn't air them that way, and by airing them in the order they've chosen, 3 shows in a row have aired in a row with Lucky Seven in it. It's a piece of trivia that we (collectively, this board) now knows, but knowing it doesn't change the fact that a little variety might have been nice.

But they were aired [consecutively], which makes it seem that way.
And regardless, it begs the question why did they play the same game at least three times out of just six episodes? Three appearances by Lucky $even in primetime is overkill, regardless.Beats me. I have a hunch it will make more sense once we have all six lineups to look at, though.
Why do people think I don't understand this?Actually, I don't know. It seems that the timeline and the calendars are pretty irrelevant to the point being raised.
Why do I bother with the timeline and the calendars and everything else if the only reaction I'm going to get is, "We only care about the order that CBS aired them in?"
Kindly explain to me how something that shows lineups in their proper order is "irrelevant" to a discussion about Lucky $even appearing three weeks in a row.
it wouldn't make sense for CBS to air 2 of the MD winners in the first 3
I think that what everyone is referring to is the fact that a casual viewer who doesn't read these boards and doesn't know or care about production numbers or when they were taped or when these shows were "intended" to be aired will see that Lucky 7 is played 3 weeks in a row and wonder why aren't they playing any different games.
Guys, please remember that these shows are being run out of order. So far, we've seen the first, fourth, and fifth MDSs. So no, Lucky $even hasn't appeared "three times in a row."Appearing three times in a batch of six is WAY too much, regardless of the order. Airing them in the order they have just adds the impression that they might have played it in the others too. Which I'm not, of course, saying they did.
