Mohammad's been glued to the red podium like the paste eater in your Kindergarten class. If he can't make the grade in the final one-bid, he'll be forcibly extricated by one Mimi and hauled to the First Four Midday Revue. I guarantee you, the food there will leave him longing for the good ol' days of "cheap chicken", rectangular pizza and expired half-pint milk cartons. And the entertainment is worse than the requisite quarterly recitals. Can he escape to the promised land? Sixth IUFB: Xbox 360 Elite (extra controller, collection of 10 games; ARP: $1,005) (Manuela)
Mohammad sulks to the reservation desk, while Eric, from Michigan (Drew, from Ohio, forgives him), is playing Switch?
I guarantee you, Drew on the inside is grinning ear to ear. So is Mohammad. |

Is this the first time that a first-run show has been aired in August? I'd be surprised.
Drew's actions during the credits lead me to believe he knew this was going to be Rich's last show.
God, I hate that routine Drew has the Beauties do in Switch? now.
God, I hate that routine Drew has the Beauties do in Switch? now.I don't think Drew makes them do anything. In my opinion, he just makes his running joke, and the models ad-lib to various degrees or play it straight depending on where they fall in the continuum of model humor. Lanisha is in to hamming it up, so we got a particularly demonstrative near crash this time. If Drew were making them do it, you'd see all the models do the same thing. If the switchers were Amber and Rachel I wouldn't expect to see the same things, because the models have their individual styles.
Drew, having a 0.5 GPA in college is not the kind of thing you want to brag about on national television...It sounded like self-effacing humor, not bragging, to me.
I was going to comment on this, too...the "don't run into each other!" bit was funny the first few times he did it, but now that they're actually "running into each other" it's gotten old and completely unfunny. Just switch the prices and be done with it.
I have to ask...when is a college student going to find time to take a nine-day tour of Europe?
No different than the 37 hours gag. They're both stupid and stale.
Switch?: I really don't think they should have groceries for a year in games like this where you have to try to guess the price.
The extended credits on CBS.com were really fun and a nice little sendoff for Rich. They all totally knew that show was it.
I have to agree. It was really awesome seeing the whole behind the scenes crew.
New shows have been aired in August during Seasons 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, and 38. In fact, Seasons 5-9 started in August.Interesting... that explains why I hadn't heard of that happening, since it was in the early days.
I noticed a certain executive producer conspicuously missing from that whole...
Lucky $even wasn't supposed to be won, either...which made the fact that it was won all that much sweeter. The way I saw it, the “5” at the end was almost a reward for getting past the first three unusual numbers.
The next contestant wasn't supposed to get four Plinko chips, either.I dunno, those didn’t seem so bad. I think I would’ve gotten four, too.
I have to ask...when is a college student going to find time to take a nine-day tour of Europe?Well, I'm about to finish a four-month-plus summer vacation...
Just switch the prices and be done with it.I feel like it adds just a tad bit more to an otherwise pedestrian game. I don't mind it.
Mohammad seemed shocked when he didn't win the cell phone with his $50 bid.Minus missing the XBox package by about ten bucks, he didn't seem on the ball throughout much of the show. Even if he was just bidding on the phone, what high-end cell phone goes for fifty dollars?
I really don't think they should have groceries for a year in gamesI figured that the prices shouldn't be switch because the gym ended in a "standard" digit (the 5) and the groceries ended in a digit you're more likely to end up with when creating an average.
I dunno, those didn’t seem so bad. I think I would’ve gotten four [Plinko chips], too.
And I get the feeling that a lot of people will be really missing him once the new comedy act begins.
"Groceries for a year" is about the most random thing they could come up with. "Based on a national survey of the average person"... there's no way you can narrow that down.
I have to ask...when is a college student going to find time to take a nine-day tour of Europe? As others have noted, college students have plenty of break time to travel. My sister, who had never been out of the country prior to college, when to Mexico, Nicaragua, France, and Germany on different trips during her college breaks. There are specific travel companies who cater specifically to the college and 20-something market. They have tour packages that sound a lot like what was offered in the Showcase (i.e. spend a 1 to 4 days in a country than move on to another country). Some of the travel packages are much longer than 9 days. Some of them last several weeks. I think in a brochure the longest trip I saw was 45 days. And again, these are companies that specifically market to college students and recent graduates. So the trip made a lot of sense.

Is Cover Up suppose to be Pushover? It looks more like a Pushover setup--and there already is a car game in the first half.
I can't access the video on CBS.com because I'm not in the US. Can someone upload the long ending from CBS.com on to youtube? You wanted it so here you go!! :)
I had no idea TPIR was still using those circular props behind the car. I liked the red & gold better, but the black looks pretty cool too.
I think they were gone for quite a while before they resurfaced with that paint job. They disappeared at the start of season 37? I'm confident they were still used in 35 in the Clock Game, 36 I don't remember.
And is that Mike Richards creepin' in the back in his yellow shirt?
The more and more I watch this, I can't help but think the models had no idea. And is that Mike Richards creepin' in the back in his yellow shirt?
The more and more I watch this, I can't help but think the models had no idea.Yeah, they don't seem to be posing with Rich. And when Drew is posed nicely with Rich for the camera, Lanisha runs right in front of Rich to gesture to Drew's kid. I'd like to think she wouldn't spoil that shot if she knew it was Rich's sendoff.
Wait...there was a new episode on Friday?!To be fair, we've been talking about it on Talk is Right for awhile, especially when CBS did not update the schedule.
Wait...there was a new episode on Friday?!
So will there be a new episode tomorra the one that was supposed to air on may 20th?No. September 15th.
No. September 15th.
My overdue recap (http://www.floridafreeways.org/recap-100827.html). God, I feel stupid.
