Wow.....lots of people from GA on today's show. :-D

Squeeze Play:  None of those prices looked right to me.  That seemed kinda hard....don't know about everyone else.

Hole In One:  Nice putt!  Knew she wasn't gonna get the $500 with the $4-something dog food after the eye drops.

Race Game:  Nice win!  Someone wake up the jukebox operator.

Showcase #1:  $18K for that trailer and all that other stuff?  Noooooo way.

Showcase #2:  Much better!

Overall:  Not too bad of a show today.

The one risk of hitting the line so soon is the risk of running into people coming out of the previous show's taping with loose lips.

Kati and some her friends came out around 4:30, boasting about her Showcase win and her haul. How I hid the annoyance from my face, I still don't know. But I was not amused.

Also, thanks to loose lips, I knew on the morning of the 17th that I'd managed to do the unthinkable - in the last four months, I had missed Hole In One in person by one day early (1/30), and now one day late.

At this point, I'm now thinking if I get into the studio for the 6th, I'll finally see it... Or someone is telling me I'll NEVER see it.

What else is funny is how tickled I was for my show to see four games I'd yet to see in person (Cliffy, Bullseye, That's Too Pink! and Credit Card). Had we done 5/16, I would've had the same thing happen...

Of course, it would've meant seeing Plinko for the FOURTH time in seven trips (eclipsing One Away's record for me). But on the flip side, it would've meant seeing my game.. Yeah, I think I could've lived with that.

Plinko: Yet another classic example of why I don't get all warm and tingly when Rich says those "most exciting words". In the three times I've seen this game in person, I've seen a combined $15,100 in winnings. And Kathleen's playing was pretty painful to watch, too.

Hole In One: I am holding out hope that we see this one last time, for Bob's Grand Finale. It'd only be fitting to see his all-time favorite game, and the one he is most identified with, for his last show. But if not, then it would be rather appropriate that he sank his putt if this was it.

A nice putt by Alena, too.

Race Game: "The machine's getting old", perhaps? :oldlol:

Money Game: On one hand, Roger was being cute - putting the back behind 45, instead of his ol' favorite 35.

On the other hand, we had a contestant chase the ol' red herring, picking not only the decoy 90 but the 85 to boot.

D'OH!

Showcases: While thanks to those same loose lips, this had about as much suspense for me as my "re-invented" Barbie doll, I was shaking my head at Patrick's bid. Yes, I Garf FRT's, too, but a 26' foot trailer for $18,000? No.

I just don't think there's time to fit in Hole in One into the last show.  Either the 'oldest six' or 'GR/Plinko/ME/oldest three' would work out a lot better, but that doesn't mean they won't play Hole the day before.  I bet they'll find a way to get it one more playing...it just won't be the 15th.

Squeeze Play: This was HARD.  I thought $7876.  Patrick goes $7576---we both lost.

Plinko: Kathleen got tripped up by the mop.  As for the chips, just $1,000.  Oh well.

Hole in One: When Alena didn't put the dog food third, I had a feeling she would putt from the third line....shows how much I know...she eventually made it to the 4th line.
Alena's putt was perfect for the win.

Race Game: Looks like somebody in the control room had too much to drink before the taping...the 1 symbol showed up first, then the 4 symbol shows up a second later after Christopher's second round....wow.  Aw heck, Christopher still won.

Money Game: I had a sinking hunch the 45 was the back.  I was right.  Roger set the red herring at 35 and Jerry fell for it hook, line, and sinker.

Double Prices: This was a tossup: both prices looked right to me.  I went with Kati's hunch and we both won!

Showcases: Patrick, shame shame shame.  You should have gone higher.
Kati made an excellent bid!  Well done!

Squeeze Play: EVIL!  I would have said the 7 and still lost.

Plinko: UGH...And Kathleen could have won more if she didn't screw up on the mop.

Hole: Nicely done by Alena, even though she didn't get $500.

Race: Nice win by Christopher, even though the control guy was sleeping.

MG: I said 45 as the last 2 digits and still won this.

SC1:  :gotc: Not going to cover the trailer and other items.

1 Down & 14 to go.....

About the only exciting things that happened today was between the 2nd-4th pricing games, everything else was ehh.

Kathleen is probably one of the few contestants over the years who actually got to play the pricing game that was on their shirt. Anyway, Kathleen was full of energy and I was hoping she would have won more than she did. I shudder to think what her reactions would be if she had a chance to win a car.

It was nice to see Hole in One, and probably for the last time this season :-( . Alena priced those grocery products pretty well especially since I don't think, unless you were a regular viewer, those grocery products were that easy.

It's nice that Bob got his original putter back. Whether it was true or not that someone stole it, who knows.

I think Christopher got lucky winning Race Game. He really screwed up by looking to the audience for help, which definitely cost him time. I'll bet that the game would have been considered a technical win had nobody caught the fact that Christopher actually had won. What a mess that would have been had he started making hurried changes before time ran out and he had everything right already.

I knew the price to Tahiti was $7876. I had a feeling it was 5 that should've been taken out.

It's rather great that Kathleen was to play Plinko considering she had a shirt that said "Plinko." I wish I could say the same for the outcome.

The fourth line was definitely where Alena was going to putt after getting the dog food. But she nailed that putt there. Goodbye '78 automobile. Hello '07 automobile.

I didn't like the way Christopher played Race Game. He kept looking at the audience for help.   He did win however with a sheer of luck coupled with a certain somebody who can't seem to make up his/her mind on how many he had right.

A costly move by Jerry picking 85 as his second choice after picking 16 with no luck there but a dollar sign. I said 45 for the last two.

I really thought the top price would be the right one. I think the bottom price was the one last time it was played. It got me. Didn't got Kati though she won.

I wanted Jerry or Christopher to win the second showcase showdown.

Though he wasn't over Patrick really blew up on his bid. Kati on the other hand made an excellent bid.

Showcase #2 only: $24,500/810.

If that was Bob's last Inspiration Putt, he's going out with a winner. Fortunately Alena knew how to putt too, and she did a fairly good job with difficult GPs. I think she was going with the "do what you know first" strategy and hoping for the best.

Incidentally, the 1978 Volvo she's coming from is probably a better car than the 2007 Pontiac! :oldlol:

I completely bombed Race Game myself, though I might have gotten it on the second try. I didn't think the Broyhill dinette was more than the Sony TV. And who the heck knows the price of a team trike? :)

I felt like Jerry didn't understand Money Game. Definitely a dazed-and-confused playing. Maybe I need to hear the words "A NEW CAR!" announced to me and see how I feel afterwards.

Yeah Madonna, I know what you mean about people talking about the results from the previous day.  Very annoying.  I actually tried to get tickets for this show.  I sent off my ticket request probably 10 days after my request for the 17th tickets, and I got denied.  To think I could've seen some of these wonderful games.  Oh well.  People need to keep quiet, just out of common courtesy and respect.  Any winners who come out babbling about the results should have their prizes revoked *lol*

Race Game was just really... really, weird.  First, the game started immediately after the prize descriptions, which left me a bit disoriented, and probably Christopher too--he seemed it, anyway.  And then the bit at the end, with the jukebox lighting up 1, but ooh, it was supposed to light up 4!

Nice to see Alayna could get a car to replace her... dang, how does a car even still work after thirty years?  She was pretty.

Did anyone else notice the awkward cut straight from Kati to Patrick in the showcase?  Wonder what happened there....

Squeeze Play-I had a hunch that the 5 had to go.

Plinko-Wow, she's wearing a Plinko shirt, and she's going to play Plinko!  What are the odds?  She said 8 for the mop?? (http://www.golden-road.net/chat/images/smilies/2b172e6d529706eb9420b1e08a352005.gif)

Hole in One-I hope we'll see this game at least once more before Bob goes.  If we don't, what a way to go!  Bob drills his inspiration putt, and Alena drills her putt on the 1st try for a great win.

Race Game-That was some...really awkward directing to start with.  He's got 1 right...wait, 4.  Who cares, he's won!

Money Game-Odd strategy going for the back of the car before getting the front of the car.  Unfortunately, it didn't pay off.

Double Prices-A nice way to end the day.

SC #1- :gotc:
SC #2-Not bad!

Squeeze Play:  Any one of those numbers could've been the imposter; this was a very tough setup.

Plinko:  $1000 ain't a bad chunk of change!  :-D

Hole in One (or Two):  Wow...we might've just seen the last "inspiration putt" of Bob's hosting career; once again, it inspires a contestant to win!  :-D

Race Game:  I guess we can say that the Race Game jukebox operator was caught napping!  :-D  Nice win for Christopher; he knew how to play the game and played it well.

Money Game:  It seemed really odd that Jerry was going for the last two numbers first; turned out to be a bad move.

Double Prices:  Easy pickin's...

Showcases:  This is why we call them friggin' random trailers...they can either cause contestants to Garf or Willy.  :-D

SHOW GRADE:  B

I missed seeing Squeeze Play and i also missed all the 2nd half including SCSD #2

the only games i was able to watch being played were PLINKO and HOLE IN ONE

the rest was just a blur....

Decent lineup, lots of good contestants today.

I would have taken out the 7 in Squeeze Play, for $7856. Very hard setup today. Tahiti is so beautiful, I'd love to go there someday.

Kathleen was really fun, just a good contestant overall. It was great to see her play what was on her shirt. Too bad she didn't win alot, she deserved more. I loved how she released the chips too.

Alena was great too. Even though she didn't get all the products in the right position, she still shot the ball 4 spots up, which is good. It was great to see her jump around the stage after winning.

Race Game was a bit weird. It was different to see Bob not have to explain the rules, as Christopher already knew them. Then when the jukebox malfunctioned, I had a feeling that all the prices were on their right prizes, and I was right.

I thought Melinda won that fifth one-bid with the patio heater. I thought it was $599 for some reason. Oh well.

Jerry didn't look like he understood Money Game. When he picked 35, I believed he had it won. But it was behind 45. I guess the front and back method didn't happen this time, the corner to corner did.

I picked $5230 for the sauna. I was sure she had lost that! The barrel sauna they have is $5245 or something like that, right? I figured this sauna would be close in price, but I guess not.

Wow, I thought Patrick had bid pretty well on his showcase. After Kati had left a difference of $1416 on her's, I knew she had won though.

Best Contestants- Kathleen and Alena

Showcase #1- $21,000
Difference- $9344

Showcase #2- $24,000
Difference- $1310

Great show today - good to catch it during the holiday weekend

Squeeze Play: Tough set up; seemed odd to put squeeze play first in the line up; not the most exciting game in my opinion.

Plinko: Great contestant; liked how she didn't take an hour (like most contestants we've seen recently) to drop her chip :)

Hole in one (or two) Great playing, although I'd like to see someone finally call Roger out on that friggin dog food; everyone thinks dog food is more expenseive than it really is.  I think we've seen people trip up on the dog food on $5 Grand Game too.

Race Game: Great win and even though he was looking at the audience he kept moving during the game;

Money Game: Tough loss but Jerry didn't really seem to be into the game all that much.  I chuckled as to how Bob "heard someone say 45 in the audience" after he lost....Bob totally is on to how Roger sets this game up :)

Plus his $1 bid earlier could be noted as a "Stupid Bid" in the recap in my humble opinion.

Double Prices: Did anyone else get the impression that Kati didn't really want that sauna :)

We are now in the final 15!!!

Squeeze: I also thought of $7876. My instincts were waylayed again.

Plinko: A $1K payout. I'm sure Kathleen is still grateful for playing her favorite game.

Hole: I'm sure Alena is shelving that '78 Volvo to the nearest auto dump right now. A great and much-deserved win.

Race: Whoever ran the jukebox....WAKE UP!!!!   Good win.

Money: Uninspiried playing.

Double: So obvious.

Showcases:
:gotc: on Showcase #1 for the FRTS. Kati scored very well.

A 3.25-star show.

And thanks to CBS for airing the show so quickly after it was pre-empted last week.

It was kind of necessary -- since it's best for Bob's last aired show to be Bob's last taped show, that was the last day they could air a preempted episode. It's all new until June 15th...

When Bob announced that there were two Georgians in the showcase, they cut to a close-up of Kati, not realizing that Bob would then introduce each contestant individually afterward. So, as it was done in-studio, the close-up shots went Kati Kati Patrick, which looked weird. So they copied the close-up shot of Patrick that they took in the studio and edited it in again immediately after the first close-up of Kati, to give him equal time.

Squeeze Play - Too bad!:-(
Plinko - $1,000.  More than she came with, but still not too good.  She was dressed for the occasion, though.:-)  8 for the mop??:-?  I THINK NOT!!
Hole In One - Dog food after eye drops??:-?  I DON'T THINK SO!  Awesome putts by both Bob and Alena:-)
SCSD1 - I was hoping Alena would win, but oh well.:-(
Race Game - Great win!:-)  Get some strong coffee for whoever works the scoreboard!
Money Game - Tough break!:-(  I don't understand, however, why he picked 85 after 16 seeing as how 16 was not the front of the car.:-?
Double Prices - Nice win!  Kati deserved it after working so hard to get up on stage.:-)
SCSD2 - The one I wanted to win - Kati - won this time.:-)
Showcases - I was glad Kati won her showcase.:-)

Okay, for the past few days, because of my trip there and no online access, I haven't seen and/or recapped this weeks shows. I going to catch up.

Squeeze Play: Yet again. I wanted to take out the 7 and it was once again the middle number 5.

$50,000 Plink-lo: When you have a low amount, you might feel desperate enough to put it straight down the middle for the 10000.

Hole in One... or Two: I thought I was okay with the Act mouthwash since it wasn't the Oasis. Right about that but still wrong. Those putts were just wonderful.

Race Game: Christopher's glances kinda irked me a little. But the big irking was when I saw that 1 and wanted to make some more changes. I thought those were right myself. This takes me back to that Bonkers incident a while back.

Money Game: After trying 15, I wanted to try 77, then 45.

Double Prices: For that little sauna? It's got to be $4150.

Showcases: I do not know trailer prices that much, but even my buddy told me that there was no way Patrick's Showcase should cost that much, especially that trailer. He said the DVD Player would be around $200 and the treadmill around $1000 or two. There was no way the trailer was worth the difference of the total. I had to find out from Jacob what the prices were. At least I knew this was a FRTS.

No, no... it wasn't preempted anywhere nationally.  Least not on the second airing.  Just a local preemption.  Local stations do that sometimes.  Basically means that everyone got to see the show except the people living around your city.

You have no idea what you are talking about.  This episode was aired in full in the Mountain Time Zone.  Twice, in fact.

The replay was pre-empted in one part of the Mountain Time zone - Denver. There the show was replaced for the day by KCNC's annual broadcast of the Bolder Boulder road race.

Beyond that, as far as we know, it was business as usual nationwide.
