Title: Frank's Price is Right: Episode 17--THE END
Post by: Mallory16 on June 03, 2006, 06:04:13 PM
Now, I usually give a bit more notice, but I was originally planning on starting this show next week.  Turns out this week will be better for me, though, so I'm just doin' it a bit early.

In our last show, we had spectacular wins in the car games, but the number thirteen wasn't very lucky for one of our contestants.  And Penny Ante proved to be harder than we all thought.  But that was then, and this is now!  If you want to possibly be a contestant in this episode, all you have to do is sign up for it!

If you are called, you will be sent a PM:  at this point, it will be your responsibility to follow the thread.  You have 30 hours to respond when it is your turn to do so.  Miss once in an item up for bids or the showcase showdown, and I'll take it on a case by case basis on how to handle it.  Miss twice and you're out.  Miss once in a pricing game or a showcase, though, and you'll be out.

Now, if you're going to play in this show, you don't have to answer the ol' optional question for the episode:  what's the best showcase theme I've done, in any past episode?  And what was the worst, not counting themeless showcases?

If you want to play, you'll have to sign up quick:  the show starts at midnight on Monday, June 5.  So just sign up by then if you want to play!

I'm in, of course.  My memory isn't too sharp, so I don't think I can add any thoughts to the "optional" question.

Someday I'm gonna win a showcase on one of these live shows.

I'll say the best showcase you had was the one with the 80s theme. Can't think of a worst one, though.

EDIT: Oh, wait! The worst showcase was the supercheap dining room set/cheapo car showcase you made me bid on!

I'll sign up once again.

Showcase theme?  Hmmm... the only one I remember was the retrospective on 80s has-been teen pop princesses.  I'm sure Tiffany liked that one. ;-)

Given that I'm on a 10-bid losing streak in Frank's show, I have to try to break that, so I'm in.  As for showcase themes, like others, I really don't know enough to speak intelligently about them.

My favorite ones were the one the wordplay one in one of your most recent ones, and the one where you displayed the showcase backwards.

Well, I am going on vacation soon, but at the rate of your shows, I'll go ahead and play!

I have no answer to your optional question. So, I'll opt out of it.  :-)

I'd love a bigger chance from last game to get on stage!  I think the little known hurricanes was the best theme, and none of them were the worst.

Rich:  Here it comes, from the Golden-Road.net forums online, the Internet's most exciting couple o' weeks of fantastic prizes:  the fabulous 20,160-minute Price is Right!

sideshowPA, come on down!

Futuregsh, come on down!

LiteBulb88, come on down!

And rcbought, come on down!  You are the first four contestants on The Price is Right!  And now, here is the star of The Price is Right, Frank!

*Frank enters the stage through the big doors.*

Welcome to The Price is Right!  Thank you, thank you, thank you all for what I'm guessing was hopefully a wonderful welcome!  Now let's get this show started:  there is the first item up for bids today!

Rich:  An exciting air hockey table.  From Minnesota Fats, the Goal Flex 7-foot air hockey table has a cool overhead scoring display, power play and penalty shot indicators, and is powered with two blower motors for even air flow.

And that air hockey table will go to the one of you four nearest to the actual retail price without going over.  Bid in dollars, please, because we round off our prices to the nearest dollar, and boughty, you get the first bid!

Question unrelated to the bidding: How do you have a power play in air hockey?  (Those of you thinking of answering, please don't.  This is just meant to make you think and laugh a little.) :-)

Futuregsh:  $2495
sideshowPA:  $2496

And the actual retail price of the air hockey table is...

$2200, and believe it or not, Britey wins!  And Britey, as the winner, I want you to follow me up to the turntable where we have the first pricing game of the day!  Howdy, Britey.  Now, you've got up on stage a lot more quickly than usual today, and now, I want you to win that prize.

Rich:  A quaint bedroom group.  The Aico Tresor bedroom group makes for a relaxing night's sleep, in a beautiful bedroom of beauty, to soothe even the most restless of sleepers.  And for a comfortable night's sleep, the Comfortaire Royal Duchess sleep set will make that slumber even slumberier.  It's a prize package worth $13,475!

And I hope you're a good shopper, m'boy, because you'll need to be if you want to win Grocery Game.  To win, you must buy between $20.00 and $21.00 worth of these five products, so Rich, if you please.

Rich:  Today we have this, from McCormick's Gourmet collection, a 2.25 oz. bottle of garlic powder, great for adding that perfect zest to your meals.

A 5 oz. bottle of Tabasco pepper sauce, for when you crave foods to be hotter than hot, call on Tabasco.

An 8 oz. canister of Cool Whip whipped topping.  Tastes better than ordinary whipped cream, but isn't as fun to use.  Ah well.

A 15 oz. can of Spaghettio's pasta, everyone's favorite letter o-shaped pasta in a tomato and cheese sauce that kids everywhere love, and adults everywhere forget why they used to love it.

And finally, a 6-pack of Dole pineapple juice, for the great taste of pineapple in liquified form, and there they are, Frank!

Now, you can try to win with just one product, or work your way to your $21.00 goal buying a little of this and a little of that.  It's up to you.  So tell me which product you would like to buy first, and how many of it you want.

Thank you, sidey!

All right.  Britey would like three of the Cool Whips.  Each one?

Is $1.69, how much is three?

*Image deleted.

ding!

$5.07.  You are now $15.93 away from $21.00, what would you like to purchase next?

All right, Britey wants four of the pineapple juice, and each one is...

$2.59, how much is four?

*Image deleted.

$10.36, and what's Britey's total?

*Image deleted.

ding!

$15.43.  You are now $5.57 away from $21.00, what do you want to buy next?
Title: Re: Frank's Price is Right: Episode 17--PG #1

I'll go 2 of the spag-o's.
Title: Re: Frank's Price is Right: Episode 17--PG #1
Post by: Mallory16 on June 05, 2006, 10:57:40 PM
You know, they're actually called Spaghettios.  We just couldn't fit the whole name on the card, but that doesn't really matter, does it?  Each one?

*Image deleted.

$1.09, how much is two?

*Image deleted.

$2.18, what's the total?

*Image deleted.

ding!

$17.61.  You're getting close, now!  You are $3.39 away from $21.00, but you win if you can spend just $2.39 more.  You have the garlic and the Tabasco left:  which one do you want?
Title: Re: Frank's Price is Right: Episode 17--PG #1
Post by: LiteBulb88 on June 05, 2006, 11:03:24 PM
I had a hunch those Spaghetti-O's were $1.09, but I wasn't willing to go for 5 and risk going over.  So...for the win, I'll say 3 tobascos.
Title: Re: Frank's Price is Right: Episode 17--IUFB #2
Post by: Mallory16 on June 05, 2006, 11:21:20 PM
Three Tabascos?  I have a bad feeling about this, but you're the boss... each one is...

*Image deleted.

$3.29... how much is three?

*Image deleted.

$9.87, what's the total?

*Image deleted.

BONK!

$27.48, and I'm afraid you've gone over the $21.00 limit.  One Tabasco would've won, but it's too late now, I'm afraid.  Well folks, we've just proven that Roger doesn't need to make this game impossible to get losses.  More after this.

***

Rich, we need to recover from that!  Get me a winner!

Rich:  I'll do just that with Madonna, come on down!  You're the next contestant on The Price is Right!

And take your spot down there, Maddy, and here comes The Price is Right train with our next item up for bids.

CHOO!  CHOO!

Rich:  And The Price is Right train is bringing out an ugly metal file cabinet.  From Fire King International, Inc., it's the FIR42131CPA insulated 4-drawer file cabinet, measuring 52.75 inches high by 20.75 inches wide by 31.5 inches deep, has a really stupid alphanumeric name.

And Mrs. Fenton, you get the first bid.

Yeah...I didn't think you were trying to deceive with that price, and I apologize if I came across that way.  I just didn't recall that from your earlier shows, and 5 oz. of tobasco for $3.29 is much more than 5 oz. of just about any other liquid I'm familiar with.  By the way, can I ask how much the garlic stuff was?
Title: Re: Frank's Price is Right: Episode 17--IUFB #2

You didn't come off sounding accusatory, so don't worry.  The garlic was $6.19, so you wouldn't have wanted to pick that at the point you were (http://www.angelfire.com/la3/goldenroad15/misc/smile2.txt).

sideshowPA:  $799
rcbought:  $800

And the actual retail price of the file cabinet is...

$2910, and boughty wins easily!  And boughty, we're going back up to the turntable again for our second game of the day, because the turntable is the place to be!  And now I'm going to try to give you that prize.

Rich:  A wonderful trip to Canada.  You and a guest will fly round-trip to Montreal for a 6-night stay at the Sheraton, where you'll enjoy the insert random babble about this being a great vacation spot here.  Ooh... I wasn't supposed to read that, was I?

And boughty, you will be on your way to Canada if you know whether you are coming or going!

*Image deleted.

Now, you're the kind of guy who knows whether he is coming or going, right?  I mean, you can't get very far in life if you don't even know that much, so I hope you've got a good head on your shoulders!  Now, if you are coming...

*Image deleted.

The price of the trip is $6505.  On the other hand, if you are going...

dingdingdingdingdingdingdingding!

Yes he is, and he is indeed going to Canada, congratulations boughty!  And Coming or Going has become only the second game to be won three times in this show!  More after this!

Rich:  CrimsonViper, come on down!  You're the next contestant on The Price is Right!

Rich:  And on the turntable is an exquisite lamp.  From Lamps Beautiful, this Charleston six-light crystal floor lamp by James R. Moder measures 67 inches high by 20 inches wide, has an antique bronze finish, and made with imperial crystal.

Futuregsh:  $1400
sideshowPA:  $1401

Well Future, I don't think you'll have to worry about not being around, at least for this game.  The actual retail price of the lamp is...

$1746, and sidey wins!  And sidey, we are going way back here to the big doors for our third game of the day, where we have something great for you!  Oh sidey, you know of how great some of our prizes are, right?  Sometimes we offer lesser things like pianos and living rooms, but really, we always have more fun trying to give away one of these!

Rich:  A new van!  The Buick Terraza CXL minivan is a great car for the mom who's got to get the kids to all their little appointments, because they're all signed up for about five afterschool activities each day, and if they were normal, they'd be sick of all of it by now.  Comes with standard features, 3.5 liter V6 engine, 4-speed automatic transmission, all-wheel drive, Sit-n-Lift power seat for the second row, 17-inch chrome aluminum tech wheels, rear bumper protector, and AM/FM stereo radio with 6-CD changer and mp3 player.  This is the Buick Terraza!

And here comes the lovely Janice, bringing on out the five price tags.

*Image deleted.

Now, one of these five price tags is the right price for that van.  If you can pick out that price, you win the van, and you can win as many as four choices of the five price tags, depending on how well you do with our little "game within the game."  Now take them away, Janice, and here comes the lovely Holly with a prize, and it looks like a TV to me.  Rich, could you please tell us about this TV?

Rich:  Of course, Frank, The Sylvania 6419TV 19-inch TV comes with a remote control and a color screen, cause we're not in the stone age any longer!

And what does this price tag say?

*Image deleted.

$150.  Now that price may be true for the TV, or it may be false instead.  To win the TV, and more importantly, a choice of the five price tags, you must correctly tell me whether that price of $150 is true or false.  Which do you believe it is?

Well, let's hope you don't suck with the TV.  Is $150 false?

*Image deleted.

ding!

You're right, it's $130, and you have won one choice of the five price tags.  And as you can see, one of the giant price tags behind us is illuminated, meaning you have one choice of the five price tags!  But I bet you would like to win more choices, so Holly, take the TV away, and here comes the lovely Kathleen with what looks like a gumball machine.

Rich:  It is, Frank, it's the Lil' Wizard gumball machine, only 27 inches high, and it holds up to 450 1-inch gumballs.

*Image deleted.

And $180 is the price listed.  Is that true or false?

sidey says false again.

ding!

sidey is right again, it is false, it's $149.  Now take the gumball machine away, Kathleen, and here's Holly again, with a ring it looks like.

Rich:  From Finejewelers, Incoroprated, this emerald ring is made from 14 karat gold, with .28 carats of emerald and .04 of diamond.

And the price shown here is...

*Image deleted.

$285.  Is that true or false?

And let $285 be true!

bonk!

No, that's false, it's $318.  So you don't win the ring, and you don't win a choice of the five price tags, but you can still get three out of four here.  Holly, take that away, Kathleen, bring something else out!

Rich:  The Helman Group's Nostalgia Electrics LPM-529 popcorn cart has the elegant look of an old-fashioned popcorn machine.

And the price here says...

*Image deleted.

$300, true or false?

It's true, and you have won three choices of the five price tags.  Bring those back out, Janice!

All right, sidey has chosen $39,860 for his first choice.  Has he won on his first pick?

*Image deleted.

dingdingdingdingdingdingdingding!

Yes you have!  $39,860, and it's yours!  Take away all the suspense, getting it in one try, but you don't care, do you?  That's your automobile, congratulations!  Showcase showdown next!

*Image deleted.

***

And with me I have sideshowPA, I have rcbought, and I have LiteBulb88, ready to spin the big wheel.  If you get $1.00 in one spin, or a combination of two spins, you win $1000 and a bonus spin.  In the bonus spin, if the wheel lands on one of the two green sections, you win $5000 more.  But if it lands on $1.00 in the bonus spin, you win $10,000 more, for a total of $11,000!  Not only that, but the one of you nearest to $1.00 without going over will be in the showcase at the end of the show, where you can win thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands and THOUSANDS of dollars worth of prizes!

Now sidey, as you have won the most in this half of the show, you will be spinning last.  rcbought, you're second, and LiteBulb88, you are going to start us off.  Just call a number from 1-20 to spin!

As a note, you all may give me your numbers whenever you like:  you don't have to wait, unless you want to.  Your choice.

No, only 50¢, and I'm afraid that isn't enough.  You did win that van, though, so the day hasn't been bad for you.  But rcbought, you will be in the showcase at the end of the show!  Now folks, if this game looks like fun, and you'd like to be a part of the fun, here's Rich to tell you how!

Rich:  It's easy, Frank, all you have to do is go online, go to www.golden-road.net and log in to your account, or register for an account if you don't have one, go to the thread called "Frank's Price is Right:  Episode 18--SIGN UPS," and sign up for it, it's that easy!

More pricing games after this announcement.

Rich, fetch me another player!

Rich:  All right, let's try jhc2010, come on down!  You're the next contestant on The Price is Right!

And take your spot, jhc, and Holly, come on down, playing the next item up for bids.

Rich:  And the lovely Holly is badly playing music-making clarinet.  From Buffet, the E12 B-flat clarinet has silver-plated keywork, poly-cylindrical bore for better intonation, and undercut tone holes for better tone and ease of response.

And jhc, start the bidding!

CrimsonViper:  1100
Madonna:  $1199

And 30 hours is up for Future, and he's out of the episode.  As for the actual retail price of the clarinet, it is...

$2233, and Maddie Fenton wins!  And Maddy, I want you to my left, because we have all these prizes to my right, look!

Rich:  A useful treadmill, a comfortable sofa, and a fun guitar.

First, the Tunturi T-20 treadmill is great exercise for those rainy days where you can't take a nice stroll around the neighborhood.  Or those cold winter days where the temperature drops ten below zero.  Or those days where you don't feel like getting dressed.  Also makes for a nice decorative piece for those who do not exercise.

Next, from Carini, this contemporary sectional sofa has a kiln-dried hardwood frame, and comes with a 3-seat comfortable sofa section, a 2-seat section, and a 1-seat ordinary chairish section.  Comes with end table.

And finally, the Warwick 4-string thumb bass guitar can help you start up your own garage band.  And who knows?  On rare occasion, those turn out to be great successes, but who are we kidding?  Your group sucks.

And Maddy, you will win if you can make at least one measly dollar in Buy or Sell.  Now, you're at least somewhat familiar with the stock market, right?  To make money there, you have to buy stock when the price is low, and sell stock when the price is high.  The same concept works here... even if it doesn't make a lot of sense.  Well... just pretend you already have one of each of these prizes, and you're pretending to decide whether to buy a second, or sell the one you've already got.  Or... you know, the concept behind the game doesn't make much sense, but oh well, we'll deal.

*Image deleted.

The treadmill is marked $2050.  If you believe that price is too low for the treadmill, you should buy it.  If you believe the price is too high for the treadmill, you should sell it.  If you make the right choice, you get money in the bank, for the difference between that price and the actual price.  If you make the wrong choice, however, then you lose money in the bank in the amount of the difference.  And do the same with the couch and the guitar.  Again, if you have at least $1 by the end of the game, you win all three prizes, as well as any money you make in the game!

So now, tell me whether you want to buy or sell, for all of the prizes.  I know I usually prefer doing these things one at a time, but since there's absolutely nothing revealed between the decisions, there's no fun I can really have with that.

All right, Maddy wants to buy the sofa.  It's marked $2050; what is the price?

*Image deleted.

$2450!

*Image deleted.

You made $400 on that deal!

*Image deleted.

ding!

You're off to a good start here.  Now, the couch is marked $2299, you said buy, what is the price?

*Image deleted.

$2899, you've made more money!

*Image deleted.

Specifically, $600 more!

*Image deleted.

ding!

And you have made $1000 thus far!  Now, so long as you do not lose more than $1000 on the guitar deal, you will win all three prizes, as well as whatever money you wind up with in this bank.  Now, the price is marked $2699.  You said sell.  What is the actual price?

*Image deleted.

Ooh, $3599, you'll take a hit there.  Not too big a hit, we hope?

*Image deleted.

You lose $900 there, but you've still got $100 in the bank, and you're a winner!

*Image deleted.

bonk!  dingdingdingdingdingdingdingding!

And Maddy, you have won all three prizes and an extra $100 for gas money.  Or to buy a thermos.  Or whatever else you like.  There's more Price is Right coming up!

Rich:  Stay tuned for more pricing games and the fabulous showcases which are coming up on the second half of The Price is Right!

***

You know the best thing about dealing with problems on a case by case basis?  Flexibility.  So Future, come on back.  You'll get another chance, but with a strike against you.

On the other hand, Crimson has informed me that he isn't going to be around, that he's got other stuff he has to do now, so we still need two new contestants, Rich!

Rich:  And here they come, Frank, they're edmojautis and sternal, come on down!  You're the next two contestants on The Price is Right!

And take your spots down there, you two, and up on the turntable we have the next item up for bids.

Rich:  And on the turntable we have a kooky cuckoo clock.  From Old World Imports, this musical chalet cuckoo clock has 8-day movement moving dancers and woodchopper, and plays Edelweiss and Happy Wanderer.

And... actually, this is kind of a weird situation, having two new people in contestants row, which there's no precedent for on the actual show.  It only makes sense for the two new guys to bid first, right?  Even if one's in the red spot and the other in the blue spot, right, and Maddy came from the blue, and the people who have been in contestants row are supposed to bid after the newcomers... well, I'm doing what seems like the right thing to do here, considering there's actually no precedent for this on the actual show.  sternal, you bid first.  edmojautis, you'll bid after him.

Futuregsh:  $1295
jhc2010:  $1296

And the actual retail price of the cuckoo is...

$1499, and jhc is the winner!  And as the winner, I want jhc to follow me over here to the giant price tag, and you know, it was so fun seeing sidey win one of these, I want to give you one too!

Rich:  A new car!  A Saturn Ion Quad Coupe 3 coupe, this great car makes for a fun trip while travelling all the great roads of the country.  Comes with standard features, 2.2 liter engine, 5-speed manual transmission, enhanced performance package, anti-lock brakes with traction control, and decklid spoiler, it's a Saturn Ion!

And I hope you win that car playing Add 'em Up.

*Image deleted.

Now, what you must do is give me the exact price for the car, one digit at a time.  And to help you out, I will tell you that the five numbers in the price of the car add up to 24; that will help you win.  And I want to help you even more, because I'm just that kind of a guy:  I will just plain give you one digit in the price of the car, absolutely free!  So would you like for me to give you the first, second, third, fourth, or fifth number in the price for free?  That's your choice!

All right:  please light up the third number for jhc.

*Image deleted.

ding!

It's a 2.  So we'll put the 2 into our little equation over here.

*Image deleted.

Now, we know the 2 is in the price of the car.  Now, you have to give me another number in the price of the car.  Remember that all the numbers, added up, will total 24, and that 2 is one of the numbers.  If you make a mistake, giving me a number that is not in the price of the car, you'll get another try, but if you make two mistakes, you lose.

Now, with all that in mind, give me another number that you think is in the price of the car.

It's there, to no one's surprise.  Now let's add the 1 to the equation.

*Image deleted.

Now, the equation totals 3 so far, and you need to get that to 24, so give me another number in the price of that car.

You have two choices my friend :).  The last three are either 9,8,4 OR 8,7,6. If you say 4 or 6 (and I would say 4 because I think it's a fourteen thousand dollar car), then you will KNOW what the rest of the numbers are.  Just my two cents...

Rcbought is right; there are three possibilities here.  (Any Cross Sums/Kakuro fans here?  That's what this is :-))To guarantee a win:

1.  Try 7.
2a. If it's right, then the three numbers left must be 876 or 975, and you can try the 6 or 5 next to figure out which one it is.
2b. If it's wrong, then you know it must be 984.

Now, I don't see why contestants had trouble with that game on the actual show.  Seemed simple enough to me.  But what do I know?  Rich, fetch me another player!

Rich:  Indeed I will, Frank, with tpiradam, come on down!  You're the next contestant on The Price is Right!

Take your spot, addy.  Here comes the lovely Dian with the next item up for bids.

Rich:  And the lovely Dian is wearing a gorgeous diamond pendant.  From Leandra Creations, this 14 karot white gold pendant has 44.00 carat amethyst and 1.25 carat diamond for a look to make any day that much more lovely.

And adam, start the bidding!

Add 'Em Up is one of those games that I think is way easier with 5 digit cars than with 4 digit ones, because you basically get two numbers free:  the one you ask for and the first one.  It's definitely easier when you only have 8 choices for the last three numbers instead of 9, especially in this case when the 1 & 2 ended up being the free numbers.  And in case you couldn't tell, I'm a Cross Sums fanatic...I should've waited until this game to get up on stage :-).

Title: Re: Frank's Price is Right: Episode 17--PG #6
Post by: Mallory16 on June 16, 2006, 07:57:41 PM
It may be easier for us, LiteBulb... but considering the many contestants on the show who would've asked for the first number free, I don't know how easy actual contestants might've found it.  I figured the game would probably be easy though, myself.

tpiradam:  $1100
edmojautis:  $1500
Futuregsh:  $1510

And has Future finally escaped contestants' row, or is he going to join the fine students who are having Saturday detention?  The actual retail price...

...actual retail price!  It's $3890, and Jade wins!  And Jade, I want you to come with me to the giant price tag, where we have the day's final game for something wonderful!  Now, some people may call me crazy, but believe or not, I want to give away another one of these!

Rich:  A new car!  A Subaru Impreza RS sedan, a fine car for a fine time out on the road in the country, driving here and there and everywhere in between, and it's really hard to make these car plugs sound even remotely interesting.  Comes with standard features, 2.5 liter engine, titanium shift knob, rear differential protector, SD Aspen white spoiler, short throw shifter, and steel grey metallic fog lamp kit, it's a Subaru Impreza!

And take a look at this price, Jade.

*Image deleted.

$31,414 is wrong!  Every digit is wrong, for that matter, but each digit is one away from the right number.  The 3 should be 2 or 4.  The 1 should be 0 or 2.  The 4 should be 3 or 5.  The 1 should be 0 or 2, and the 4 should be 3 or 5.  I said that twice, didn't I?  Well, tell me what you believe the price is for that lovely automobile, and if you're right, you win!

All right.  If the car is $20,305, you win it, but if you have at least one number right the game continues, so ask them "Ladies, do I have at least one number right?"

...

Oh yeah.  Message board.  Forgot.  That's not going to work.  Well, I guess I could tell you to ask, and you ask, and we keep doing that back and forth, but uh... that's not going to be too interesting, so I'll just ask for you.  Ladies, does Jade have at least one number right?

BEEP!

You do, and the game continues!  Ask them... oops, I mean, I'll ask now:  ladies, does Jade have two numbers right?

...
BEEP!

Yes you do!  Now... you know, who are these ladies, anyway?  I mean, I am the one controlling the sound effects, right?  But why break with tradition?  Ladies, does Jade have three numbers right?

...
...
...
BEEP!

Yes!  Yes!  Yes!  Now ladies, does Jade have four numbers right?

...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...

No.  You have three numbers right, Jade, so change two of them.

No, you should have left that alone.  What should you have changed?

*Image deleted.

The 3 and the 5 were wrong, it was $20,503.  Jade, I'm sorry.  Showcase showdown #2 next.

***

Rich:  Contestants not appearing on stage will receive stuff.  And now, here's Frank with our showcase showdown!

That's weird.  The first and sixth games were lost in this episode, with everything in the middle won.  In the last episode, the first and sixth games were lost, with everything in the middle won.  Heck, this is the fourth time in 17 episodes with those exact results in that order.  Go figure.

Jade, give that wheel a spin!  Madonna and jhc2010, you can give your numbers now too if you like.

rcbought, you are the top winner in today's showcase, Futuregsh, you are the runner-up, and they would like to see the first showcase!

Rich:  This showcase features prizes that might be fun to drop on someone's head, and what could be more fun than plowing that irritating neighbor with this classic anvil.  The Grizzly 300-pound cast-iron anvil is perfect for blacksmiths, deranged coyote who need to catch dinner.

But in the rare event that you don't have an anvil conveniently lying around--admit it, it happens even to the best of us--you may be able to use a lovely potted plant.  From Windowbox.com, this potted peace lily tolerates the low light and dry condition in most homes, while making the indoors healthier.  The leaves are lance-shaped and the blossoms are elegant, white, and not the least bit Powerpuffy.  The pot measures 5 inches across and the plant measures 10-12 inches tall.

But what if you're allergic to flowers?  Well, then you could always drop on this a not-so-safe safe.  From Sentry, this fire-safe S8771 commercial safe measures 47.625 inches high by 25.5 inches wide by 23.5 inches deep, includes adjustable shelf, built-in wheels for mobility, and interior locking drawer.  Has an electronic lock and tubular key.

But darn, you're money's in there, and you don't want to lose it, so what to do?  Simple:  just find a couple of moving men precariously dangling from a rooftop a grand piano!  From Rawlings, this 7 foot 1 inch semi-concert grand piano with ebony polish has an incredible finish, incomparable tone, and exquisite playability.  It has a solid spruce soundboard, German hammers, 17 ply hard rock maple pinblock, wet sand cast plate, and hardwood ribs and posts.

And this showcase, featuring rather cartoony suggestions for things to drop on someone's head who might be bothering you, can be yours if the price is right!

And rcbought, do you want to bid on this showcase, or pass it to Jade?

ding!

And I see Jade does not trust me at all.  But RC Cola, this is your showcase!

Rich:  This showcase starts with a lovely dining room.  From Furnitureontheweb.com, the trestle dining room set with cherry finish has ash burl veneer accent, the trestles have a wing design, and the table has a cherry veneer design on the top, and the table skirt is scalloped.  Set comes with two arm chairs, four side chairs, buffet, hutch, server, and mirror.

And just in case you're not eating sandwiches, the Wallace Italian sterling Impero 66-piece flatware set, serves for twelve people, with contintenal-sized utensils with a uniquely-designed handle with detailed etching.

And after dinner, you're probably going to need to use the bathroom, using this new toilet!  The Toto Neorest 600 toilet is a sleek, tankless, one-piece toilet with integrated Washlet seat, with the new Cyclone Flushing system, so there's no waiting for the bowl to refill, front and rear warm water washing, automatic air dryer, and deodorizer, and the lid automatically opens, closes, and the bowl flushes itself via sensor.

And while you're stuck on the toilet, it might be a good time to practice becoming that musician you've always wanted to be with this groovy saxophone!  From Keilwerth, the JK3300 tenor saxophone has a black nickel-plated body with a protective clear lacquer finish and gold lacquered keys, with mother of pearl finger buttons, and comes in a Sax Mover deluxe nylon-covered wood shell case with plush interior.

And this showcase, going from where the meal begins to where it ends, can be yours if the price is right!
