Post by: Nickrj on June 11, 2006, 11:21:32 AM
TPIR 1st hour long episode

This episode started the tradition on TPIR that is still being held today.
In 1975 the ratings were so high that fans wanted more so Goodson-Todman gave
it to them.
The show was expanded to a full hour starting on November 3rd 1975.

I made a post on the old forums about Alberto and I said he looked like he was embarrased to even be on the show and you can tell.

To Nickrj,
The 1st Hour-Long Show was originally aired on November 3, 1975 and unfortunately that've been postponed due of New Shows of The Carruthers Company-Warner Brothers (WB) Program on CBS-TV is "GIVE-N-TAKE" broadcasted here on the same date at 10:00-10:30AM, The Price i$ Right at 10:30-11:00AM  &  MERRILL HEATTER-BOB QUIGLEY's GAMBIT at 11:00-11:30AM. On December 1-5, 1975 at 10:00-11:00AM "The Price i$ Right" finally aired the 1st Hour-Long Show after "GIVE-N-TAKE" is canceled after 2 Months on the air and having the Last 19 1/2 Hour Broadcasts of "The Price i$ Right" from November 3 to 28, 1975 at 10:30-11:00AM.

Let it go, Steve. The clown obviously doesn't read the other replies and he thinks he's right.

We here all know that Price expanded to an hour for good on 11/3/75, moving Give-N-Take to 4 PM. And no one can change that. Document proof (click):
