Overall, good game today, I was very pleased with Drew's performance, actually made me laugh a couple times. Definitely one of his better games. A change I noticed was in More or Less's reveal tags which say "More" and "Less" they are now not only yellow and pink, but now a golden-yellow and dark blue. Is this a new change that just showed up today or has this change been instituted for a while now? Also, on More or Less, I thought the fireplace was dead giveaway. Usually they aren't more than $2,200, so that was an easy "Less." On Lucky $even, I thought we were going to have a perfect game, but I guess not, same with Plinko, not a perfect game, but a close to it--if only those 0s weren't in the way! Speaking of Plinko, what is a win considered these days on it? I thought it was 30K or more? Has that changed? I thought Jordan was going to play Bullseye the whole time like it was Grocery Game, as that what he seemed to be doing the first two turns, but got it by the third turn.

Overall Grade: 4/5

I'm glad Dominick won Lucky Seven, the Showcase Showdown, and the Showcase.  I always cheer for people that is from Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Hence I also live in Albuquerque.

If only she trusted her gut on the fireplace...grrr, the search for the first perfect show in order for the Drew era continues.

Otherwise, Pl!nko was just weird...the chips came coming back just short or just far into the 0s! So depressing. Also the low-budget PG prizes hinted me at something like a convertible today, good bid by Chris to clean house. I started singing about the DOB being completely evil when that 1 came up, but when the last digit was a 4 he must have felt nice... :P

Speaking of Plinko, what is a win considered these days on it? I thought it was 30K or more? Has that changed?

According to Joe Capitano (among others), a win is hitting the $10,000 slot at least once.  However, an official win is winning $50,000.

IUFB #1: OH WHY ANASTACIA?!  She had both a perfect bid and $500 slipped out of her fingers!

Switch?: I would've switched too.

Plinko: A bit of a miscue on the 2nd SP there. Thank god he got $10K on his first chip because the rest went into 0.

More Or Less: I knew Ludmilla would lose by saying "More" on the fireplace. I said "Less" on it.

Coming Or Going: The playing of it was pretty funny as Drew made fun of Gilberto holding on to the thing.  :oldlol: Soon enough it was won.

Bullseye: Either it was 3 cookies or 8 cream pies for me. Thank god Jordan picked 3 cookies on his last turn to win it.

Lucky Seven: Dominick was doing fine guessing both the 2nd and 3rd digits right. But I thought he was doomed when he said 6 on the 4th digit leaving him with just $2 left. Thank god he was off by a dollar on the last one giving Drew $1 plus the other $1 for the car. Great comeback win!

SCSD #2: I wanted Jordan to win.

Showcases: Dominick definitely clean house today making a great bid on his showcase to earn him another car!

Overall, a fairly good winnings day.  However, in the first half, it did seem odd that the only person to "purely" win her game was also the one that spun first.

By the numbers:

Since the value of the car was unrevealed, this is a best guess. Unless proven otherwise, I'm appraising the value of that basic Vibe at $16,500

For the first half, the contestants banked $23,697 (including $1000 on the wheel) out of a possible $81,245, batting 291

For the second half, the contestants batted 1.000, banking $46,021

Overall, the contestants batted .638 on a $158,755 potential payoff.

Can somebody please explain how one can come up with a "batting average" for one particular TPIR airing?  I just want to know, that's all.

IUFB #1: OH WHY ANASTACIA?!  She had both a perfect bid and $500 slipped out of her fingers!
Um...isn't it obvious?

If she sticks with that bid, and the ARP is exactly $1,000, she wins $500 in cash.

If she sticks with that bid and the ARP is anywhere between $751 and $999, she doesn't win $500 cash, doesn't get up for that pricing game, and for all we know, never wins anything in the entire show.

Now, which scenario is more likely?  The prize being exactly $1,000 or the price being anywhere in the $249 range underneath that?

On this date 28 years ago on The Price is Right, a then-unknown Vanna White came on down.

Now that that's out of the way, on with my comments...

Drew was on the ball today, he was having fun with contestants and seemed in a happier mood than yesterday.

Today's Plinko was just depressing to watch, the last three chips were so close to the $10,000 slot and we could have set a new record today if they just hit the right peg.

Holy crud, I wasn't expecting More or Less to show up today!  Today's setup was kind of simple, only the fireplace was the tricky one of the bunch since we never saw the car's false price.  It's a darn shame we couldn't have a perfect first half, pursuits notwithstanding.

Todd's reaction to winning $1,000 on the wheel was just priceless, he was just amazed at the fact he won money.

Coming or Going was just set up for a win today, that hot tub sure didn't look cheap.

I can't wait to read the report whinbaby posts for this episode, I'm just curious as to how expensive the pieces in that patio prize package in Bullseye were.

I don't know about everyone else, but hasn't it been a while since we saw Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies on the show?  I don't know why only two of them were purchased, but Jordan made quite a comeback with the Chips Ahoy.

Well, Frank15 is probably a happy man today, Lucky $even was played in its second home once again this season!

The Lucky $even win was just fantastic today.  Dominick did very well on his first two guesses, got himself into a rut on the fourth number, but miraculously pulled a win at the last number!

I laughed at the Model Mishaps showcase, it kind of reminded me of the "Janice Pennington, this is your strife!" showcase.

Thanks for the history, I did not know that (I was a little too young to remember it if I did).

Anyway, what a great show today, and at least Drew did not have any SNAFU's with rules....

I actually thought the Lucky Seven guy would've lost it on the fourth number, but an amazing win today.

The showcase with the convertible, had that been me, I probably would've fainted if I won that (such a sweet ride!).

My grade :  B -

Okay, I'm really starting to wonder what's up with Roger playing Plinko every Friday. FPG season is over, so what gives?

Wow, what a good show!  Drew was in top form, everybody won something in their game, and Lucky $even was played sixth!

On top of that, I might be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure I won the FPG today!  I just wish I hadn't taken out Switch? as my first game and replaced it with Clock Game -- I'd have really mopped the floor then.

A change I noticed was in More or Less's reveal tags which say "More" and "Less" they are now not only yellow and pink, but now a golden-yellow and dark blue.

That isn't a change -- they've always been like that.

On this date 28 years ago on The Price is Right, a then-unknown Vanna White came on down.

Also on this date 28 years ago, the original NBC run of The Hollywood Squares came to an end (as did the Bill Cullen Chain Reaction and the Alex Trebek High Rollers).  The daytime forerunner to Late Night with David Letterman took over the vacated 90-minute block the following Monday.

Since the value of the car was unrevealed, this is a best guess. Unless proven otherwise, I'm appraising the value of that basic Vibe at $16,500

My notes show an identical car (2009 model, same options) was offered, and won, back on May 23rd.  Its value at that time: $17,695.

Switch?: I'm sure I would've switched too. If only Anastasia stuck with her gut on IUFB #1, though.

Plinko: Those last three chips were so darn mean, I wish those zeroes were gone!!  But $10K is more than what he came with.  ;)

MoL: That fireplace kinda tripped me when I saw it. I was hoping Ludmilla got it, too.

CoG: Drew pretending to be dozing off was very funny.  :oldlol: Going was the right way.

Bullseye: I would've went with three cookies as well. Good job.  :-)

Lucky 7: Dominick sure pulled off a major comeback on the last digit after that freefall on the fourth. A great win.

Showcases: What a day for Dominick!!! Anyone to pull off a miraculous win in L7 deserves it all.  :pint:

A 4-star show.

Todays Show was an 85% out of 100 for me.

"Sweet" Lucky 7 save on the last number after losing $5 on #4.

One question:  What was the audience "chanting" before the 2nd showcase showdown-during the "contestants who do not appear on stage segment".  I just noticed that on the tivo of todays show.

Lucky $even belongs sixth.  And first, I guess, but it's been played first a lot in the past gazillion years, so yeah, more sixth!  Cool unexpected win at the end, too!

Aside from Coming or Going, More or Less seems to be the single game on the show where Roger has the hardest time forcing a win.  I can't believe that was lost.

One-Bid #1:  Ouch!  She screwed herself out of the $500 wad.  Has that ever happened before, Roger?

?Switch?:  Easy switch.

Borko:  What a bummer to go from $10,000 to three straight zeroes.

MoL:  Where did this game come from?!  Where's 10 Chances?!  And is it me or do the car and the More/Less sign appear to be pushed farther back than usual?

Coggy:  Easy.  (That's not something you hear too often about Coggy this season. :-D )

Bully:  Yay!  Temptation cue! :P

L7:  YES!  YES YES YES!  LUCKY SEVEN LAST! :P Roger was banking for a bust on that fourth digit, but Dominic stopped him thanks to near-perfect playing on the other three digits.

My showcase bids:
Car--$27,607
Starcrossed--$17,507

Today's show was pretty good.

I thought More or Less was fairly easy, but it's kind of frustrating seeing contestants frequently not win everything. On a semi-related note, it was good to see Coming or Going won, because it was also fairly easy.

Even though I don't think it's as cool as a certain poster from the Crescent City does, it was still neat to see Lucky $even played sixth. Also, Dominick's win was very impressive.

Can somebody please explain how one can come up with a "batting average" for one particular TPIR airing?  I just want to know, that's all.

Since I came up with it, I'll explain.

The "potential winnings" is the amout that could be won if all contestants won the minimum amount needed for their respective pricing game to be considered a "win" and that the showcase with the highest ARP was won (no perfect bid or "wheel" bonus money). If I were :clipboard:, this number would be the number I would use in budget planning.

I divide the actual winnings of the contestants by the potential winnings and round it off to the nearest 1/1000th. Needless to say, it is possible to "bat" over 1.000 if we have good bidders or good luck on the wheel.

And yes, I have been dropping a little bit of "Weakest Link" in there :)

IUFB #1:  That has got to be one of the most painful moments in this round.  Also, $1 as the 2nd bidder?  It seems like there have been more $1 bids by people who aren’t last more than usual.

Plinko: Four chips and the last three go into zero?  After he won $10,000, I was thinking that he would likely get a large amount of money.  At least $10,000 is better than nothing.

More or Less:  I went Less-More-More.  I didn’t think fireplaces were that cheap.

Coming or Going:  It was funny how Gilberto kept holding onto the game like the numbers were going to slide back.

Bulls-Eye:  I wonder if Jordan thought the cream pies were more expensive or if he thought the totals added despite Drew telling him otherwise.

Lucky $even: My guess for the car was $24,564, and I would have lost.  When the car was being revealed, there was what appeared to be a jerk of the camera.  The camera started moving up then just jerked back down.

SC1:  My Bid: $30,340 / Diff: $1,149
SC2:  My Bid: $17,725 / Diff: OVER

Really awesome show to end the week with. Awesome lineup, Drew was on. What more could ya ask for?

Lucky 7 last is always awesome. I definitely agree with Frank that L7 belongs in the 6th slot. Dominic's come from behind win made it all the more better.

Coming or Going was easy, yet somehow I was surprised it wasn't lost.

Plinko was heartbreaking even with the 10k win knowing there coulda/shoulda been so much more.

Good show today.  Enjoyable contestants and performance by the crew.  Crazy how those last 3 Plinko chips went straight for 0 spots...

I don't know about everyone else, but hasn't it been a while since we saw Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies on the show?

I'm pretty sure this was the first use of any Little Debbie snack product this season (albeit unsponsored), other than the muffins which have surfaced as sponsored products within the last few weeks.

Statics Geek?  You'd better steer clear of anything electronic, then.

I immediately thought of statics as in forces, like analyzing the forces in different members of a bridge truss.  Maybe that's just the civil engineer in me talking...
