It would seem the smouldering crater is back. Like Rich Fields, the "labor" of the First Four clubs have been handed their pink slips. As for Mimi, she has mysteriously disappeared. It's believed she's likely at the International Court of Justice facing charges of violating several international laws, including at least two protocols of the Geneva Convention. In its place, there is a simple memorial, the First Four Wall of Shame, with the photographs of First Four contestants past. Valerie and Lindsey are in severe danger of being the first new inductees. At least one of them will make history today. Sixth IUFB: Selection of cosmetics (Lise Watier; ARP: $735) (Manuela and Rachel)
While Valerie and Lindsey go off to get their mug shots, Kathleen is playing Hole in One (or Two) for a Honda Civic LX coupe. (1.8-litre engine; ARP: $17,405) (Manuela)
Drew inspirational putt: sinks it straight in It looks as if the Taylor Made golf balls will remain a throw-in. |

Drew was absolutely terrible in Money Game. He acted disinterested throughout the game and he barely hosted it, he just let the contestant pull the numbers off. It was a great win, though, but the hosting left a lot to be desired.I thought it was somewhat funny. He figured "Heck, if he wants to take control, let him!" His pulling didn't ruin the game, the camera work, the pacing or anything and Drew's "nonchalant" attitude was part of the whole deal since, you know, the contestant took the game over. Didn't ruin anything for me.
Also, Drew really doesn't explain Secret X that well.I can agree with that. The need to use the center column should be emphasize.
Drew sank a putt for what, the second or third time in his tenure as host? His "Yeah, I do this all the time. I'm the best" smile after the successful putt made me laugh.
but the showcases have improved in writing and Drew is a bit betterAgree on both counts, although ending showcase #1 with cash today was sort of strange.

It was a great win, though, but the hosting left a lot to be desired.Gotta agree with Chad on this one. I thought Drew handled Money Game very well by letting the contestant continue to pull the numbers. That really shifted the focus of the game play from Drew to the contestant, and that is a good thing. It helped that he won, too!

It was a great win, though, but the hosting left a lot to be desired. If that is what it will take to make Money more interesting to watch now, I'll take it.
Drew really doesn't explain Secret X that well. He implies that a tic-tac-toe using the secret X is necessary, but it makes things easier to follow when that's explicitly stated.Agreed. Bob's explanation was simple and complete; it included saying something like "three X's there, there, or there (arm giving "across" motion), or diagonally there, or diagonally there" (arm giving "diagonal" motion).
Were those golf balls given away the last time Hole in One was played?
Um, Kitch; I think you have the *WIN* and *LOSS* tags reversed in the Showcase Round.
Was that the first time Drew's sunk the inspiration putt in daytime?
