I only saw one part today, and it was Race Game. I found it disrespectful for Drew to say on air that he "Hated" Race Game. That's the kind of comment you keep to yourself. Never say on air that you "Hate" one of the games. My respect for him just keeps going down.

Wow. Way to take what he said COMPLETELY OUT OF CONTEXT. In fact, he never said on air that he "hated" the Race Game; the word "hate" wasn't even used. Both he and the contestant were joking about how they were both chubby, Drew said, "I don't like this game at all if I had to play it."

Stop trying to just make him look bad. It's getting completely ridiculous.

I will have to watch the episode again because I am pretty sure I heard the word "Hate". But if that is what he said, then I do apologize.

All I heard was Drew (AGAIN) calling this game "run around like an idiot".

After seeing the show online and now today, I can confirm that he never said the word "hate" when it comes to this game. He said something along the lines of "I don't like this game if I had to play it," but the word hate was never said.

Race Game should not have been lost, plain and simple. That was one of the easiest setups I've seen in that game in quite some time.

Today pretty much had the worst pricing game lineup ever when you take the total lineup into consideration: 1) Nothing about this lineup warranted throwing the SP game out. 2) When Money Game, Coming or Going, Pick a Pair and Squeeze Play all show up together you're in trouble. This lineup seemed "short short short."

Oh look, it's Money Game first again for a new car.  And down the drain goes another Mustang.  Whoop-dee-doo.  Though people should have a better chance of winning ever since they started putting the 35, 36, and now 37 in the top middle slot because most of the time those numbers aren't right.

Onto Run Around Like An Idiot.  Maybe Drew should give an "inspirational" demonstration as to how to run like an idiot, because he certainly chided himself and the contestant about that today.  Yes, he's wearing flip flops, and yes, he's chubby.  But no, he does not have to run around like an idiot and hell yes, he has a chance of winning, as slim as it may be to your eyes.  It would've been great if Drew played it up, and said something of the sort about winning despite the odds against him.

If there was a game called "Host Like an Idiot", Drew Carey, you automatically win.

Too bad Martha's husband wasn't with her in the audience.  He could've helped her help him win that dream Impala.  I guess every car is someone's favorite; I'll still take the Viper thank you very much. :D

Pick A Pair is still a bore.  Maybe I just caught it today, but have they always lit up the prices as the platform was rising?

Please stop giving a ridiculous prize copy about cash.  We know what it is and we know how to use it (well, mostly, to those not in debt).  Right about now, I'd love take this Showcase and put in under the Trip Around the World theme.  It wouldn't require the useless banter we're accustomed to seeing.

Keep up the good work, Drew, and you and your fans win.

One-Bid #1-Finally they use Drew's entrance vehicle as an Item Up for Bid.  I don't see why they couldn't have been doing this.  At least the vehicular entrances would have made some sense.

Money Game-This game just isn't that exciting when it's played 1st.  Once in awhile, it's alright, but it's already been played 1st 3 times this season.  Plus, knowing that it's gonna be a car or cash game first kinda ruins it.  Wow, that Mustang was really loaded.  My initial instinct was $24,250 for the Mustang.

Coming or Going-Can't get any easier than that.

Race Game-Drew, people don't "run around like an idiot" in this game.  You need to learn to stop saying stuff like that.  Michael, stop looking at the audience and play the game!  That's the 1st time I've ever seen someone use strategy on their last choice.  Michael realized he went from 2 correct to 1 correct on his 2nd switch, then he switched them back to get a definite 2 right.

That's Too Much-You know, I used to not like this game, but now it's kind of grown on me.

Squeeze Play-Gessy fell victim to the repeating 9s.

Showcases-Ok, there was no need for that stupid plug for the cash.  I really miss the trip skins.  It looked a bit awkward with Curtis just standing in front of Door #1, not being able to see his whole showcase.

I never saw this episode on CBS.com three weeks ago, so this is all new to me.

One-Bid #1:  Well, at least Drew rode out on stage in something that would actually be used in the game.  Michael, I can assure you that motorbike is not, in the words of Enzo Aquarius, "OVER NINE THOUSAND!"  :headbang:

Money:  Wow, loaded Mustang Coupe today!  I believe this is the first time that a contestant has said a Mustang Coupe was $25,000+ and was actually correct.  I knew that the last two numbers had to be either 79 or 84 because of the paint/fabric protection.

Race:  Yay!  Race Game! :P Just what every guy needs... a makeup kit. :oldlol: I don't care if Michael is chubby and has on flip-flops.  There was no excuse to lose this game with that setup.

Much:  I guess Impalas have gone up in price for 2009.  That was a base-model Impala and I would've stopped at $22,444.  I knew Martha lost when she went past $24,995.

My showcase bids:
FRATS--$20,007
Gym/roadster--$19,607

I understand Drew's remarks about not wanting to play Race Game, but he shouldn't have used the "run around like an idiot" remark. Even if I didn't think it was disrespectful to the game, I would dislike it because he's using it repeatedly.

I agree that the copy for the cash in the showcase was unnecessarily long.

Well, if Drew is going to "ride" a prize out the big doors, actually offering the prize as the first item up for bids is the best way to do it.  It might have worked for a change of pace... except, well, you know, that I'm sure most of us are absolutely sick to death of Drew riding prizes out the big doors by this point.  Hard to even semi-appreciate that the prize was actually the first item up for bids this time around.

Neither showcase had a theme today, did it?  The first showcase seemed like it should've been an "Around the World" showcase, except they presented it as a "random prize" showcase that just so happened to include three trips.  This would have just been an insult to the "Around the World" theme, though:  that had to be the absolute worst copy ever since... well, yesterday's all-trip showcase.  Wonder why trips are getting the worst copy lately.  On a very related note, was Rich actually supposed to not stop after "trip to New York"?  What happened to the natural pause that should've occured right there?

I've never understood how the Match Game cue goes with home gyms, but if they're going to use it, I can't complain.  Use it as much as they can, I say!  I will complain about Rich's leadup to the car, though.  Or lack of car.  Seriously, I did not like that at all.  Sure, a contestant should generally be excited to win anything, but if you're obviously building up to a car and then have a far inferior prize instead... yeah, that might piss me off.  I'm almost not sure which showcase was worse.  The first one was bad all around, but the "pretend car" at the end of the second left a really bad taste in my mouth.

Wow... That's Too Much was actually set up to be win.  I'd have lost, though, just because I'm way too suspicious of the new crew.  Bizarrely, I'd have probably won if Roger were still there.

Seems like they've been using the Season 28 car cue a lot more this season.  Whoo?

Please, Drew, don't retire Race Game.  We all love Race Game!

And That's Too Much is a relatively quick car game, too.  Seriously, does Race Game take so long to play, that four of the six games have to be the almost absolute minimum time they could take to play, with a fifth being almost the minimum?  I mean, not counting Double Prices.  Roger was rarely so bad with the lineups.

Money Game:  What a terrible loss after getting the front end on the first try!
Coming or Going:  Good job! :-)
Race Game:  Michael was taking way too long on each of his trys.
That's Too Much:  Rats! :-(
Pick A Pair:  Better to win on the second try than to not win at all.
This isn't poll the audience, this is The Price is RIght.
I think this would apply for today's playing of Race Game too.

Squeeze Play:  Too bad! :-(  I figured either the 5 or the 8 needed to go.

Not too good overall, IMHO.

This was the episode that I posted was accidently posted at cbs.com the day before Thanksgiving. And you are right curtis. This is why I think they should still refer back to the old trip skins if they are going to still do these types of showcases. It just looks odd having none of the doors open after the contestant wins.

We're back to normal entrances tomorrow at long last, right?

I'm really concerned about the life of Race Game after yet another slam of "you have to run around like an idiot" against a game and his clear statement of "I don't like this game at all."  Please, Drew, please do not push to have Race Game retired.

I watched this show three weeks ago when it was uploaded to Innertube, yet I still watched it again today.  If there was anything negative to comment on as far as the Showcases go [aside from the usual suckiness (cash plugs have gotten really old really fast)] it would be that today's "Parade of Prizes" was quite possibly the stupidest, senseless, and most ridiculous thing ever.  Standing around fanning a wad of cash because you can't display the trips you've won because you've only got frigging green screens to display is absolutely asinine.  If this isn't a cry of stupidity that demands the return of the trip skins, I don't know what will prove that they need to be reinstated now.

Remember the old adage "If you repeat a lie enough, people will begin to believe it." ?

Again, here is his exact quote, and its context - contestant & Drew are talking about how they are both chubby. Drew's verbatim quote, in response to the contestant joking about his chubbiness (complete with improper grammar) is:

"I don't like this game at all if I had to play it. <laugh>"

So, seriously, stop it. I know half of this board hates Drew now, but if you're going to hate the guy, at least back it up with truth rather than a blatant mischaracterization of something that comes out of his mouth.

Agreed, Frank. The only fault I had with Roger's lineups was when he slotted One Wrong Price and Double Prices back to back 5th and 6th during Bob's last year, other than that.....no complaints because he truly was a master when it came to this sort of thing.

Back to today, this lineup would have made at least a little more sense if It's In the Bag had been played rather than Pappy or if Spelling Bee had been played 1st over Money Game. I believe today shows once again that whoever is making out the lineups has no earthly idea what they are doing.

Yes, I am aware that was the context under which he made the statement, though at the same time, I'm sure even you can agree that Drew has made some decisions and done some things on a whim that makes absolutely no sense because of his own opinion about something.

I know half of this board hates Drew now

If that is true, that should say something about Drew's character.

but if you're going to hate the guy, at least back it up with truth rather than a blatant mischaracterization of something that comes out of his mouth.

It's not just Drew.  It's the entire production staff.  Drew says one thing.  Syd could think another, and next thing you know, the game is gone.  Really, as silly as it may sound, very few pricing games have absolutely any security of their lives on the show anymore.  Almost every game is in jeopardy of potential retirement, and no matter what context Drew may make a remark saying, "I don't like this game at all if I had to play it," it's not a statement that's going to help the life of a pricing game.

OR, if you think you're such a great host/writer/producer/cameraman/contestant/announcer, why do you go to television city and take over the show.

Money: Seeing it played first may not be cool, but it's OK. Now that's one "stuffed" Mustang!! Too bad and after a good start, too.

CoG: Very nice.

Race: Dang it, Drew!!!!!!!!:headbang: The makeup looked relatively easy, too. Michael just didn't pull this one off.

TTM: I would've stopped at $22,444. Poor Martha.

PickPair: Very nice.

Squeeze: I actually won this one.

Showcases: Neither was anything special, anyway. The ending with everybody standing behind the first door was the absolute worse ending ever!!!! :-(

A 1-star show. (MRRRRRRRPPPP) :-(
