How can you claim to be a super fan, and not know El Cheapo?...
In defense of the contestant, picking "el Cheapo" has not always been the winning selection.
In fact, according to TPIR Stats, between Seasons 29 and 45, El Cheapo has been on the board 70 times, and has been the correct choice 48 of those times. 68% is better than 50/50 but far from a can't-miss strategy.
Do they ever bring up El Cheapo on the air anymore? I feel like that's one of the things that Drew did not carry on from the old days.
Do they ever bring up El Cheapo on the air anymore? I feel like that's one of the things that Drew did not carry on from the old days. (But I haven't been watching a lot lately.)
He mentions it from time to time.
[Drew] mentions [El Cheapo] from time to time.
Is that a more recent development? The only occasion where I remember the words "El Cheapo" being said during my time there was when one contestant identified it sometime around 2012 or 2013.

I don't remember anything about a youngest superfan contest. Did this kid just submit for the main contest and Mike was so enamored with him (he was pretty damn annoying to me) he gets a free ride to Phone Home Plinko?
