This is gonna be a hot take, but missing your showcase by $251 is only slightly less painful than overbidding by $1
Interesting to me that Drew mentioned that Jon Dorenbos was on “America’s Got Talent” when CBS has its own talent competition show airing, yep, right after the Super Bowl.
As for Matthew, if he had said $29,750 he would've been the first person (as far as I'm aware) to be a DSW with just a difference of $1!!!There have been perfect bids in the Showcase as well, although I think only one occurred with the Double Showcase rule existing.
Plus there have been $100 and $101 differences when the double showcase leeway was LESS THAN $100!We also had someone win both showcases ( since they raised the DSW difference to $250 ) with exactly $250
Hotter take, it's not even remotely comparable. One scenario you still win a Showcase, the other scenario you win nothing.
