What about putting CBS' eye logo plastered all over the turntable or incorporating CBS' Logo somewhere on the set?? Maybe project the log over the big doors over the doors like they do with the goodson asteriks or stars???????????
Do you have ideas for the set???????
Should they reverse the producers table with Rich's Podium and put the jib camera on the other side of the stage?
POST THE COMMENTS!
:-D DaNixta!

Why should they reverse the producer's table and Rich's podium? It makes no sense, and it's been like that since Day 1.
Also, stuff on the Big Doors and turntable should be related to The Price is Right and not CBS. Besides, let's take the (very unrealistic) possibility that TPIR does go back to GSN or to some other channel. It wouldn't make sense to have CBS stuff on a show that might not always air on CBS.
I say keep the set and layout of the studio should remain the way it currently is.

True... That maKES SENSE... UM MAYBE JUST CHANGE THE COLOR SCHEMES?

I couldn't agree more! My favorite set was Season 35's! It was so funky and retro! Really was reminiscent of the 70s.

Maybe Put Asteriks instead of ''barker'' wall hexagons on the seats for contestants in contestants row

Or just go back to the way it was with "The" "Price" "Is" "Right" on each chair.

hmm putting the CBS logo on the turntable is not a bad idea. I kinda miss those CBS curtains. And I like the multicolored curtains being everywhere in the audience.. so why not put it on the turntable.. just the turning location.
Also.. I'll say it again.. it's time for a color change on the big Wheel ornaments. They don't match the colors of Drew's set.
-
I kinda miss those CBS curtains.
Last year, around the end of March-early April, there was a stretch when the green curtain located to the right of the red curtain to the right of the sign on the left side of the audience (by the booth entrance) wasn't there, resulting in a pretty good amount of CBS eye curtains being revealed for us to see on camera! Now there is a yellow curtain there, meaning it would probably be more obvious if the eye curtains were showing, also meaning a less likely chance we'd get to see them on camera again. We have yet to see them on camera this season.
-
I've definitely seen the CBS eye curtains this season. I vividly recall seeing them earlier this season when Roger forgot to give Drew the onebid ARP card.

what about the dollar sign pattern like on a few of the MDS with Bob Barker? (the MDS's that had this included Salute to Teachers in Season 32 and Bob's Induction to Hall-of-Fame)

Ok, I have a problem with that last statement. Last season's set was not reminiscent of the 70's. If it were, it would deeper earthtone colors ala browns, oranges, and yellows (ie. the first set).
If anything, the current set is somewhat reminiscent of a modern-esque 60's set- and for the first time in a few years actually compliments pieces around itself.

I personally HATED the Season 35 set. Because you "couldnt tell the big doors apart"..which was, in my opinion one of the unqiue features of TPIR.
However, the big wheel dollar signs and chase lights could use some changing. Example, the $signs on the contestant chairs in bidders row should be the color scheme for the big wheel sides.
I LOVE the "The Price is Right Sign" on the turntable..it makes a nice back drop for when the contestants are lined up to spin the big wheel. However, move the turntable back so that you can use Door #1 for price reveals better and so showcase contestants can see it better. Just a thought.
However, I would have like to see one of the "big doors" be "hot red or purple" like it is on Big Johns TPIR computer game.

I thought J. Olson's podium was temporarily moved in the Early '80s? It didn't last more than a few days.
-
I'd like to see the purple, red, orange turntables comeback. I absolutely hated the pink, blue, purple, turntable. Ech! Perhaps make the big doors match the turntables (in color, not pattern) Door one could be purple, door 2 could be an orange color, and door 3 could be red! Those are my thoughts.
-
What was so wrong about not being telling the Big Doors apart? I didn't mind; I hardly could tell any of the Big Doors apart when they were separate.
-
I could easily tell them apart during Season 35. Pink was door 1. Orange was door 2. Purple was door 3. My favorite was the purple door. :D

No, you couldn't. All the doors were identical during Season 35. The color scheme you've described was present from 31-34.

Season 35 was the 'rainbow pinwheel' design, with Goodson marks and stars surrounding a large red "35". The 31–34 design had alternating dark and light blue strips in a "sunburst" pattern around the logo, with the colored stripes you referred to around the edge.
-
Yes...that is true. My mistake. I must have had a brain fart.

Actually, the 35 was yellow. The "30 Years" logo was red.

Well, during seasons 25 and 26 (and possibly 27, can't remember) they did have the "2x Years on CBS" painted on the doors with a white CBS eye logo on the purple balloon. I wonder why that wasn't continued for seasons 28 and 29?
-
Seasons 27-29 didn't have "2x Years" or CBS eye logos on the doors. I think the reason is that they removed those things from the doors was after the 5,000th show aired and Studio 33 was renamed The Bob Barker Studio, in Season 26. Evidently they decided it was no longer necessary to mention how long the show has been on the air on a daily basis, save for season premiere weeks, and the network it has been on for that time.

I thought the Season 26 remained there the entire season. Also, if that was the case, then why was there a 35 for Season 35? If it was no longer necessary to mention how the long the show has been on the air on a daily basis, then wouldn't that mean there should have been no 35?
-

For the same reason the "30" was present for the show's 30th year: it was the mark of a huge milestone. 27, 28, 29, 31, etc... are not "milestones."

You took the words right out of my mouth, PIR85. One thing that baffles me though, is why did the doors on the Season 31 premiere say "31 Years" and retained the 1975 color scheme when, on the second episode of that season, the doors that would last till Season 34 and frames that would last for the rest of the Barker era were introduced. I am under the impression that there must have been something with the taping schedule for that to happen.
-
Nothing "happened," but the season premiere was the last show of a taping week, if I remember correctly.

Was there a big gap between the taping of S31 premiere, and the taping second show of S31? Or did they start the taping of the S32 right after S31?
What also confused me was why they kept the "31 years TPIR" logo for the midshow bumper. It always seemed out of place for me. If it was a different logo, I'd say maybe, but this is the same logo than S30, except it said 31 instead of 30, it just seemed odd...

Looking at Scorpz's website, the season premiere was taped on June 20th (a Thursday), and the next shows were taped on June 24th (a Monday), so there wasn't a big gap at all.

Was the whole set repainted in just four days? I suppose it wouldn't have been much to attach the glitter covers to the door frames, or attach the Hollywood mural onto the turntable walls, but that just seems a daunting task to get that much changed in 4 days time. Were the starburst doors a separate set of doors or were they the same doors from 1994?
-
I think that the set is fine and the BIG WHEEL NEEDS A MAKE OVER!
Thats all I've have to say.
-
BIG WHEEL NEEDS A MAKE OVER!
No, it doesn't.
-
Yeah, Big Wheel is fine. Although, the set's colors need to change.
